Different day, same agenda. Lucien was hungry and was on the hunt, prowlin' around the waterin' hole to see if he could find somethin' that would curb his appetite. Golden eyes watch the herds as he stalked closer, ears twistin' forward as he listened. He was tryin' to pluck out a weak or young one, unsuspectin' prey that wouldn't have a chance against a lion - or several. Lucien knew that the scent of a good meal would attract others, so he would continue on with his stalkin'. Inch by inch he crept forward, and once he was at a safe enough distance would he stop, tail flickin' behind him as adrenaline began to pump through his veins.

Arkyn had been passing through the fields when the strong scent of prey wafted toward him. He knew that the scent would more than likely attract many more lions like it usually did, and he would seize the opportunity to work more on his skills while they all gathered. The beast would creep closer toward the bank of the watering hole before dipping himself into the water completely, head and all, before resurfacing. The dingy water would help aide to wash away his thick masculine scent, making him less detectable to others. Yellow eyes shift as they studied his surroundings, noting that the brush and trees dotting the watering hole were changing colors due to the seasonal shift. With slow movements does he remove himself from the pool of water and toward a patch of brush to hunker behind and to watch the hunt unfold.

Lune had been avoiding her hunger all day. Presently, she was drowning out her cravings by fixating on collecting herbs. Lune shoved her face into a growing splattering of basil. In her opinion, you could never have too much basil. She bit the leaves off with a quiet snap to get easier access to the roots. With quick paws, Lune unearthed the roots. Picking the plant up in her mouth, she shook free dirt and particles of water. She dried the plant once it was fully extracted it, preparing it for future use. She didn't have chance to collect more before her hunger rattled her with unbearable force.

She finally gave in and rose to her paws after placing her basil at the base of a tree and covering it with clumps of torn grass. Lune wandered towards the watering hole. Let the prey come to her for a change.

The golden girl was surprised to see that she was among the first gathering, surely others had had the same thought as her. Taking comfort in the fact that she was one of a few, she called out a greeting to the two men already waiting by the watering hole. "Hello boys," She crooned with a light smile, "hopefully something satisfying will wander our direction." With that she turned to face the surrounding grasses, eager to see what foolish prey played into their waiting paws.

While the hunts weren't necessarily heavy on her to-do list, she was always happy to have a distraction and something to do. So when she wandered her way close to the gathering she was surprised to find that only two had arrived. Two males, one a tad larger than the other, but both with full heads of hair as though they bathed every day. Both were quite golden, in a way, but she gave a closed smile and a nod to each of them, considerate it quite an awkward hey i'll help look as she settled in. Hunts were so weird... like the laws of the land didn't matter when it came hunts on the savannah.

It's that time again, apparently. Today however, the cleric brings a new arsenal with her considering the amount of dead spirits that linger about the watering hole. This would probably be the time some would call her crazy, but the cleric woman was not taking any chances. In her mouth she carries lavender and thyme, conveniently wrapped together as best as lion paws can manage. The smell of lions gathering together draws her attention, and the charcoal woman shuffles towards the source of it as quickly as she can muster. As she arrives, she gives her precious bundle a quick waft around the area in the hopes of cleansing any potential bad omens that lingered here. When she felt she was satisfied with her work, the woman softly murmurs to herself a blessing. " May we all strike true and arise unscathed and victorious. " To those without faith, it probably appeared like a crazy woman's ravings, but to those of the land, they would know her intentions were well.

With an ample supply of food in this land Thisbe turned to collecting other sorts of things. Around the watering hole the herbs were already well picked over, being such a popular spot too visit, but she was able to collect up a few common staples and at least now she knew where to find these very basic items for her own use later.

Her attention then is caught up by the gathering of lions growing in the distance. She approaches, less hungry than her past few hunts but still desiring an almost free meal if it was on offer. Hello. She says mostly to the leader of this brigade, @Lucien, but offers a soft and slight nod to the rest gathered as well. She turns her nose over her shoulder and tucks the medicine pouch closer to her body so that she might not lose her hard work in the name of lunch.

For luck. A rite and blessing of protection, of luck, of kindness to the animal they will eat.

Another hunt in the fields, but this time the others were gathering near the watering hole. A great place for a hunt, for all of the prime targets to choose from, and the water source made it a great place to gather herbs, too. She paused near where everyone else had begun to accumulate, taking a look at the plantlife around her. A brightly colored flower caught her attention, and she quickly recognized it as devil’s claw. It had many useful purposes, but the anti-inflammatory and sedative properties were likely to be the most useful to her in the immediate future. She was careful as she gently dug around the plant, careful to leave as much of the root intact as she could to make it easier to carry later. She would leave it in the spot she’d found it for now, but she would return to collect it once the hunt was done. He had been crouched down drinking his fill, completely oblivious to the fact that he was no longer alone. His head rose and while he licked his lips dry his eyes went wide when he finally realized that he had found himself crashing yet another hunt. He could have left. Slipped away wordlessly. But that wasn't very team player of him now was it? Plus free food. Who didn't like to eat?

A quiet snap lets Ianthe know that her efforts have been successful. In her teeth, a wily vine of monkey rope has finally lost the battle of tug-of-war, falling limply off its tree to her waiting paws.
Satisfied, the princess tucks the long strand into her pouch, but has to forcefully shove it around to get it to fit. Stubborn, even in defeat.

Herbs settled, Ianthe turns her attention to the group of lions which has been growing steadily while she was preoccupied. A hunt, she knows, having been able to smell the prey from across the lake. Eager for another victory, Ianthe takes her place amongst them, crouching low behind a few larger lions.
