she has been a constant figure on the coast and that doesn't change today.

imogen had been lingering about when the call rang out for the nearby cove pride. she had committed their scent and borders to memory, careful not to disturb the lions who sheltered so close to the dark sands. pure curiosity guides her pawsteps as she squints against the rising sun, pausing just short of where the two beasts aim to battle. she recognizes kvare in an instant as he lashes out at the other combatant. her toes curl into the sand, fangs worrying her lip as she observes the bout with baited breath. as a rogue, one would think rulers of prides would have no effect on her, but imogen is not foolish enough to think that politics don't stir up the wilds.

She had been by the water working on her skills when a cold feeling of dread ran over her as the roars echoed through the cove. A challenge for the cove, a challenge to their safety and home. Her little siblings were still so small. Not to mention Viraj had been gone for a while now... She'd look at the waves then the sand and seaweed she'd been rolling in a moment ago to try and obscure the pride scent in her coat. She could try and wash her fur quickly but what would she miss while doing it? Kvare getting hurt? Her mom and siblings in danger? their home lost?

Neeha didn't wanna lose anyone else, didn't wanna be left behind again...

The dust-colored princess set into motion limbs carrying her to the site of the challenge. Her brown frame, despite the muddled scent, was not hidden. Unlike her normal approach to anything she did not hide. Rather, she found her gaze landing on @Sunder and @Lagertha and moved to join them. She'd place herself by her mother's other side a soft chuff leaving her lips in greeting to both of them before her eyes fell on the fight. @Kvare was facing a larger sandy-colored man. "Do we know who he is?" The princess asks as she watches the two men collide. Eyes following the intruder with a tint of darkness as her claws dug into the sand. Did they know anything useful, anything they could use to hurt him. She hadn't been there for the last challenge, hadn't seen her mother send him packing once already... Perhaps if she had, she'd have offered to get some of her mom's herbs... Neeha knew her mother had a garden, knew it wasn't for healing, and that they weren't supposed to play near it... So that left her to conclude that whatever her mom was growing was dangerous and if it was dangerous it could probably be used to hurt a lion trying to take their home from them.

The roar didn't fall on deaf ears. Keelia had become rather protective of her younger siblings, they were still little mewling bundles of fur and any chance she had she was by their sides, a watchful guardian. But once she was certain that they were all tucked in and warm she ducked out of her mother's den and made her way towards the borders of the Cove. This was her home. This was her birthright, and yet again someone else was trying to rip it from her hands. Immediately her lilac gaze narrows, recognizing the behemoth of a stranger from before. This was the same guy that had fought her mother and lost. He was back again? Didn't he have anything better to do with his time? Keelia makes her way over to @Sunder and @Lagertha, deciding to brush up alongside @Neeha, headbutting her shoulder affectionately. Do we know who he is? Her sister would ask and Keelia would pipe up, "He's the poopstain that fought against momma a little while ago. I guess he didn't learn his lesson the first time and came back for more!" She muses, even though she was certain she would probably be scolded for her crude choice of words. But still, Keelia couldn't understand it. And deep down she was so tired of being small, one day she'd be able to fight for her home, fight against people like him. And she couldn't wait to be able to do so.

He feels the brunt of @Arkyn's shoulder as he thrusts it into his chest. The protective furl of his mane keeps him from being completely winded, but a bruise would certainly form where he'd made impact, and the soreness would be felt for days. He notices too the at first pin-prickling feeling of his opponent's teeth in his right leg, before it turns into a blinding white-hot pain, his teeth sinking into Kvare's wrist and holding it in place.

With little chance of tearing it away without causing further damage, Kvare instead decides to go on the offensive. He allows his paw to fall limp in Arkyn's bite, before surging his head forward, attempting to aim his fangs for the right side of Arkyn's face. His upper teeth aimed roughly for just beneath the lion's right eye, while his lower the crook of Arkyn's cheek where it curved down into his maned neck. The movement was awkward and wouldn't allow for a lot of power, but perhaps it would be enough to draw the man away from gnawing on his wrist.

Along with @Keelia and @Neeha, a third of @Sunder's older children appear to witness the commotion. But unlike her siblings, Pyrrha does not stray close to the family and instead remains at a distance. She's followed her siblings here but once she is able to see Kvare and his opponent she stops. Pyrrha hunkers down, burrying herself in amongst some sea grass and drift wood to both hide herself and hide her scent away. She is ready is watch- far more quiet and subded than normal when one's home is at risk. But she wants to focus and wants to remember this, you cannot do that without concentrating.

It was satisfying to have his jaws strike true, his bite on Kvare’s wrist giving him a good hold. He could feel the way the body part went suddenly limp, causing for a brow to rise just as he feels teeth sinking into the right side of his face. A muffled snarl is released, and like a knee-jerk reaction his jaws only attempt to tighten its hold on the wrist instead of dropping it from his mouth like his opponent had hoped. The slicing of thin flesh was blinding, the depth his teeth went even more so, and the blood trailed down the side of his face. He lifts his right forepaw into the air, claws unsheathed, and he attempts to strike it toward the lion’s own face - attempting to claw down the left side from temple to jawline. He shifts his weight while on three legs, planting himself firmly and distributing his weight the best he could. The angle he were working with may have been it awkward, but the beast would do what he needed in order to be successful this day.

Curious as cubs came, Sif couldnt resit the wish to come and observe the fight. Not only fighst were entertaining to watch, but the posibility of learning new moves. And being this young meant she was an sponge for any new thing she learned by for example observe adult lions fight.

She arrived and lied down outside of the borders, observing the two giantic males fight. Speacially cheking on how they fought. She could see both had different fighting styles, different approaches when it came to exchange blows. The reddish colored male went less agressive then the larger one. She was learning that not all lions had the same approach in fights, curious to learn right?

Her lilac paws spread into the sand, as her claws grassed into the grains. It might help her remove dirt from her talons and keep them sharp.

A howling snarl exhaled from between clenched teeth as he felt @Arkyn tighten his grip around his forearm. And although Kvare's own assail made contact with the man's face, he could suddenly see the flash of gold, and the blinding, white-hot pain down the left side of his face. Arkyn's claws left a long gash started at his left brow, just missing his eye, and curling down along the fringe of his furred cheek. Theirs was a fight close and savage, and with Kvare's other free paws bracing and maintaining his balance, there was little else he could do save for lifting his head only just slightly, attempting to grab onto Arkyn's right ear and tug; perhaps the area were sensitive enough to finally relinquish the hold from his paw, but it were difficult to ascertain between the pain and the fury.

He knew his hold on the other's wrist would come to an end sooner than later, and as his right paw slammed back onto the ground he feels teeth snag his right ear. The thick cartilage crunches as teeth pierce it, and the sudden pain that came with it would be the one that causes for him to release Kvare's wrist. With a bellowing snarl, Arkyn's left forelimb attempts to strike toward the Caladan King, attempting to wrap it around the man's neck and hook his claws into whatever flesh they could find. His jaws begin to search for another target, this time attempting to snap at Kvare's neck rather blindly, attempting to latch onto what he could. If he were able to gain a grip and hold onto the other in a more forceful manner, perhaps then it would help for him to gain the upper paw in the end.

Finally he felt the instant relief of Arkyn's grip waning from his paw, and though he returned it to the ground, the sharp pinch of muscles quickly caused his weight to tear away from it, relying on the other three grounded limbs instead. Frustration seeped in, eyes narrowing; but he'd little time to dwell on his growing injuries. He feels the fervent pull of his opponent's limb around his neck, tugging him; successfully, given the differences in their sizes. Kvare rarely found an opponent who was larger than him.

Arkyn at first found only mane, but then he was able to sink his teeth into the tender flesh of Kvare's neck. His mane was thick enough that it didn't quite risk suffocation, but the irritating pinch of the man's teeth in his flesh were nothing he could ignore. He would try to not let him any closer, however, and with Arkyn's teeth around his neck, Kvare quickly shoved his head downward, attempting to painfully knock the bottom of his jaw upon the man's head, squarely between his ears. Even at his own expense, if he could not stun his opponent he could, at the very least, attempt to give him less neck to hold.
