The savannah is a dark place at dusk, and Leila feels right at home amongst the grasses. Exhaling slowly, she crept quietly forth until she could disguise herself behind a small copse of trees. There was something moving upon the other side in the open plains, and Leila was feeling like a good hunt was surely on her horizon.

A soft chuff rises from her jaws - loud enough to carry to summon other hunters in the area, but not so conspicuous to disturb that which had made the trail she had been following. And with that she settles back into her cover to wait, keen.

The call came and the Firnen answered. A soft chuff of her own though what had come from across the fields was not that of a lion - but a relative. Kireena slipped up and found herself face to face with a creature the likes of which she'd only seen in their nomadic travels. A ..tiger? Blinking, the woman surveilled @Leila before offering the woman a fang filled smile.

She said nothing of course - having caught the scent the other feline was following.. And not wishing to cause their hunt for a meal to fail. Instead, the red druid settled do a crouch to the back left of the tigress, waiting for her to lead them to what she hoped were full bellies and enough leftovers to bring back to their respective prides.

Eisa heard the call, and recognized the scent as she drew nearer. Her own scent, covered in the fresh leaves she'd rolled in- she couldn't help but move closer and nearer to the female tiger, with a soft chuff of greeting, as she joined in the hunt's group. Eisa grinned in her direction, hoping that @Leila would notice her, but fell into a crouch, and wait for instruction, as she peered through the grasses, looking for prey. Whatever it was that the female had called them for. Eisa was more than ready for a hunt, and the way she could lose herself within it.

She watched silent as night fell, abiding the trail of beasts over the plains. Even in this grand space the herds were thinning. Solitary antelope more common, and other ragged males and elders adrift. She considered pouncing one of those. An easy meal, but did she want to drag an entire carcass back to likely no thanks? No, she'd rather dine and dash.

Something about this chuff was different. Maybe it was something in the dusk. Something fortuitous on the waves of autumn, the last carnival before yule's cold drop. Suspicion of a gentle kind glowered in her eyes like fireflies abiding, their dim yellow resting between flashes. And of course she came, ever obedient to hop on when someone's coattails were dragging, but this time she studied the caller most intently and without shame in staring. "Bold," she purred. "I like it." The tiger @Leila was so small and so shameless in the company of lions - Toblerone could very well forgive the size and think herself merciful in doing so.

"Dear ladies - let's become one with the night." she whispered as though it was sacred, a library or church, and she rolled in the night's dew like a pig in shit. Maw wide, fangs shining, just a billow of mist churning in her throat evaporating before it escaped the cage. She jumped back up as she felt water dripping down her back - unpleasant! - and then, more tediously, reached one paw up each of her legs to slick down the fur there.

she remembered @Leila, but not in the way she would remember her siblings and parents. the striped cat had been in the pride for a short time and left soon after. faustine barely gave her a passing glance after the initial curiosity went away. in her opinion, mama and grandmother kept leila as a pet tiger more so than an actual member. maybe leila left because of that, for she was unwilling to be a pet any longer. while faustine wanted to know the reason why, she was more interested in the gathering. there were already lions here, gathered to places that were fit for a hunt to occur. so that was what it was -- a group hunt. faustine smiled, more than willing to join. Another day, another hunt. Hero had been wandering the fields when he noticed a small group of lions forming off a ways. There was something familiar about that tiger when he spotted her, recalling her from so many hunts last year. Then there was that colossal pink woman, remembering her from Obsidian Hollow. That was even longer ago. How quickly time just flies by. Couldn't hurt to get in on this hunt, though. It was always beneficial to take home a bit of meat for the caches. "Spirits, please bless this hunt so that we may find success. Allows these participants to walk away with their lives intact and their bellies filled," the Hodari murmured quietly to himself, head bowed, before looking back up towards the group. Once he was satisfied with the blessing, he'd move closer, giving a nod to the tiger, assuming her to be leading the party once more, as an indication that he was here to help.

Tilly doesn’t recognise the call, but it seemed she was not the only to gather to it. The source of it seemed to be an emerging hunt, and although she wasn’t sure what had bee picked up, she watches the cloudy sky with pursed lips, considering whether it might rain. It had been, more oft than not as of late.

She glances about the gathered, listening to the prayer of the dark lion. Even at a murmur, the world seemed so quiet it was all she could do but eavesdrop. Parting her jaws, Tilly tried to focus on a scent.

The young brute kept returning to the fields for more and more hunting practice, and much to his enjoyment (because it made it easier), he kept finding other hunters or other hunting groups summoning nearby felines to join. Hearing Leila’s chuffs, Veros joined eagerly, trotting towards the place, but then dropping to a crouch once he realized that prey was on the horizon quite literally. He was surprised to see a tiger leading this hunt, but not appalled enough to desert it. He watched her with interest as he waited for the signal.

Granted, of course, he hoped to be able to practice, but did not wish for the success of the hunt to fall too heavily on his shoulders. He was here for the exercise, if nothing else.

The sun is on its steady decline back down to wherever it sleeps beyond the horizon, and the dying light found Maven doing much the same thing. She trotted through the waving grass at a pace just quick enough to stretch her muscles out with a gentle burn, but (hopefully) not so fast that she would tire herself out before the mountainous climb still awaiting her.

Her crimson eyes study the tall grass and the flattened trails running through the valleys left behind by the various herds, before the glimpse of a glowing ember in the corner of her eye brought her to a stumbling halt.

Hmm. It's been a long time since she's last seen a tiger. But she hadn't quite realized that they could come in orange beneath their stripes! Hector's fur had been white, after all.

Naturally, Maven drifts closer as if pulled by a string, offering @Leila a low chuff of greeting as she took her own place amongst the hunters. She's too curious to leave now, and besides - if the hunt goes well, Maven might still be able to make it back to her den before dark.

She was growing used to these fields, and knew already that there was ample prey here to those willing to look for it. Footprints crisscrossed back and forth as creatures moved towards and from the watering hole. It made tracking them easy. And with the safety of mud cloaked on her bright pelt to help conceal her scent she following along what looked like the freshest of the footprints, heading in their wake and in the path and presence of other lions. Good. Hopefully it was something big they could take down together that would otherwise be difficult to manage. Something savory like elephant or giraffe... ooo yeah.
