Morrigan's frustration only mounted as @Isla ♔ continued her defense, with @Lyle still spitting his lipless vitriol. Her daughter had switched to the harsh tongues of german which only served to piss off @Alizabeth more. But when her daughter said the words your rules a deadly calm seemed to smother the rising fire in her eyes, replaced with a look of heavy disappointment as she leveled the gaze at her Heiress. "Nein, Isla. Not my rules. I am not the iron choking fist of the Mire, nor do I wish to hold the chains of viciously loyal dogs as the Bluffs do. I have never and will never ask for blind obedience," she snarled over the two words like they were the blackest filth on her tongue.

"Nature knows no kings, Isla. Those are the words of our house. If anyone broke Illyrian law, it was me by choosing to sign a deal with the devil without consulting even your mother, much less the rest of those who choose to be loyal to me. You included. I know you want to protect me Isla, but I don't want it. I want you to protect the Summit and everything within. Otherwise you desecrate everything the life you want to save is worth. You must choose. Leave my life to the fate of the gods as it should be, or there will be nothing left to rule over when I am gone anyway." Tail lashed once more in annoyance as her heart clenched uncomfortably in her chest, looking between her old friend and her daughter.

"Alizabeth, you have been my friend for five years now. I sincerely hope that you all can settle this like Illyrian soldiers and come home afterward." Looking one last time between the three of them her tail lashed again and she marched away. A pride meeting would be called, and soon. exit morrigan

The words that spew from her mouth only having his snorting. She was too cowardly to speak up for all to understand. Hide behind your stupid fucking tongue, is what hisses in his mind. Isla is squaring up then and Lyle simply remains as he was before; tense and radiating hatred. He hears his mother bark but still he does not speak, instead he gives a single nod. Yes. She said that. Wishing ill upon your subjects certainly wasn't going to gain you any sort of loyalty. Maybe her parents should have taught her that. Or maybe she should have pulled her head out of her own ass long enough to learn it. Either way, he had not brought his mother here to fight his battle. He would not encourage it either. He simply wanted as many eyes and ears to be here. To witness and to know what a self absorbed brat they had third-wheeling the helm of Illyria.

If Lyle had ever had an inkling of respect for Isla it was now forever long gone. The things she had said to Mavour are things he would never forget; nor would he ever forgive. But @Morrigan ♔. At least she had the common decency to speak for all to hear and understand. And Lyle couldn't help the smirk that slid onto his face. The High Sovereign surprised him by earning a point in Lyle's book. She may not have been on his side but it was clear she was also not on Isla's. He almost chuckled.

There was a commotion.

Radahn, at first, had ignored it. But it would not stop.

His legs, which had grown long and stalky as he approached young adulthood, stretched out across the snow. He was coming into his second winter, the first endured when he'd been nothing more than a sleepy-eyed newborn. But now, as a young man, he was no longer shielded from the bitter chill by a warm belly and pelts draped across his back. Though the fur around his legs and belly had grown long and begun to produce copious amounts of thick fur, his mane did not quite grow like other boys his age, and it left his neck and face particularly exposed to the brutal wintry winds.

His eyes were half-lidded when he approached, the booming voice of his mother echoing between those gathered, half-familiar and half-not. He recognized his sister among them, and the mangled face of a boy he'd seen in passing once or twice (as if anyone could not remember such a poor, unfortunate thing). He'd only just barely been able to catch the Queen's fierce command before she turned to leave, the object of her ire not on the strangers, but upon her Heiress.

What a strange and delightful turn of events.

Radahn remained where he was from a distance, perched upon a higher alcove where he may not be seen quite so easily. His crimson gaze cast downward, first watching his mother's retreat, and then turning back toward the group; fangs gnashing, knives out. Radahn half-wished the Gods would let this continue simply so he could see how it ended. Who, truly, was the strongest of them? Whose will was more unbreakable?

Radahn is hiding.

She would continue to ignore the annoying bitch, coming to the conclusion that she must love hearing her own voice. Her words simply brought with it a curl of the corner of her lips in a sneer. "Need mommy to fight your battles?" She goads, tail lashing behind her. It was pathetic, really, that @Alizabeth wanted Isla to fight her instead when this had nothing to do with her. It was between she and Lyle and that was where it was going to end.

Her attention shifts whenever @Morrigan ♔ begins to speak, but they are words she was not expecting. She doesn't flinch externally but internally, feeling herself grow small at her mother's chastisement. Why was it so wrong that she wanted to protect her life? Was it not what family did? Dual colored eyes rounded as they stared at her Mutter, jaw clenching and the fire rising inside her chest, making the air she breathed in burn. But it is the last sentiment that Morrigan speaks, and it is the only way she would leave this situation. "You heard her," comes her loud bark, fully focusing upon Lyle once more, "let us fight like Illyrian soldiers." All the pent up aggression and wounded feeling of her mother's words was toppling over now, and she needed to sink tooth and claw into his flesh now.

Isla wastes no more time, pushing off all fours and barreling toward the younger male head on. Narrowed eyes were alight with ferocity, unsheathed claws scraping against the hard stone underneath. As she nears, she attempts to throw both forelimbs in his direction in an attempt to wrap them around his neck. She were hoping she could dig her claws into his skin and tear into it, make him bleed for all the trouble he has caused. Jaws attempt to snap toward the untouched side of his face, attempting to latch onto the lower portion of his cheek, to sink her fangs in deep. Her tail lashes behind her as she balances on her hind legs, keeping herself as steady and stable as she could.

Let's fucking go, little boy.

Did she really just say that when the whole reason she stood here now was because she wanted to fight someone else's battle? She mocked his mother for wanting to protect him but couldn't handle him mocking her for wanting to do the exact same thing for her loved ones? That's rich. That's real rich. Lyle snarls back.

His head lowered and shook to release his face from it's covering. Though his body still ached from his recent win, he would not back down. Of all people, who was he to deny a fight? Besides, no matter who came out on top it would not change his opinion of the heiress.

She barreled in and he stood his ground until the last possible second. What he lacked in weight in comparison, he had in agility. He attempted to dodge her initial attack but his limbs were already protesting. He was tired. Tired from his fight with Mavour and his long trek up the mountain. Her claws rake deeply into his shoulder as his head snaps out of the way of her fangs. He feels a hard pinch (hard enough to draw a bit of blood) but it is easy enough to pull away without any last damage following. Like a serpent he strikes out his own fang flashing attack. He attempts to bite her face near her right eye while his right paw flings up in an attempt to claw down her left cheek.

She is met with counters and it was not enough. While her right paw dragged its claws down his left shoulder, she'd release a feral growl as teeth merely nipped at the side of his face. Both forepaws hit the ground with a hard thud while snapping jaws attempt to fling themselves in his direction once more. She attempts to bite at the exposed portion of the left side of his neck right as she feels teeth dig into the skin below her right eye. It causes a jolt of pain and lightning to course through her body, allowing for the feeling to fuel her anger even more. Left front paw rises and attempts to strike the right side of Lyle's face, attempting to claw her way down the mangled portion of his face. Her weight would shift between the three limbs still planted on the ground, tail continuing to lash out and flail behind her to help with it, as well.

His body protested against the fresh wounds inflicting his body. The ones from earlier that day complained the loudest. When her claws scrapped along an already open wound, Lyle bit back the need to howl. Skin ripping was one thing but claws digging into an existing gash was blinding. Warm blood weld and began to drip freely from his face into the snow.

He tastes her blood on his tongue but he was far too tired and hurt to truly enjoy it. She painfully nabs his neck and he leans back on his hind legs, front limbs coming up and attempting to hug her with claws aiming to dig into her shoulder blades. Teeth seeking to latch onto the left base of her throat where her neck connects to the rest of her body.

It's a sickly sweet feeling, her claws digging into already scarred and open flesh. It brings a low rumbling of a growl inside her throat as jaws gain a grip upon Lyle's left side of the neck. She attempts to bite down harder right as her left forepaw places itself back onto the ground. She feels the lion shift before her and rise while also throwing both of his forelimbs toward her. The sensation of claws digging into her shoulders gains another snarl, but it is the same tactic she was doing now that causes for her to react ferally.

Isla feels teeth pierce the thick flesh on her left side of her own neck, his own hold closer to the base and therefore closer to the jugular, and like a knee-jerk reaction her right front paw lifts and attempts to strike at the right side of his neck. She is attempting to claw her way down that side of his neck, using her left shoulder to attempt to thrust it into his chest in hopes it would cause for him to stutter in his step. He was too close for comfort, and the wildcat learned very early on that sometimes you had to sacrifice to gain the bigger reward.

They are both thoroughly locked into one another. He can feel her jolt; can feel the beating of her heart against his teeth. He is close. And his predatory feline instincts are triggered. He cannot let go now. Not when his fangs are so tantalizingly close to the sweet spot.

She retaliates hard and Lyle squeezes his eyes shut, growling and grunting loudly against the stinging blows that she strikes against him; his pale pelt nearly stained fully red by now. She shifts and he tries to dig his front claws in deeper. As her body moves he allows his to follow; hind legs no longer trying to anchor him into the snow. He has what he wants now and he'd ensure that she'd have to break his teeth in order to remove him. He attempts to hang onto her like a tick.

And just as he had done to Mavour, his mouth starts to work. Like a dog cheating in tug of war. Inch by inch his fangs attempt to "crawl" along her throat, guided by the beating of her heart. It is a slow process but he works with some urgency. He is unsure just how much more his body can take.

She moves with him as he steps back, her claws digging deeply into the side of his neck. Right paws places itself on the ground right before she feels him inching his way slowly to the true center of her throat. Isla can hear the blood fully rushing in her ears, heartbeat speeding up its pace as the cogs in her mind work. She attempts to tighten and scrunch her neck inward, trying to keep him at bay for as long as she could. And just like he, his claws digging deeper into her shoulders, Isla also rears up. She attempts to throw her own limbs around his neck and hook into his bloodied body, this action also causing for her to attempt to rip her neck away from his grasp; she could worry about the aftermath later, but now she needed him to release her.
