With the missing lead hunter, it seemed that Amara would need to step up and make sure that the pride came together to get their food. She didn't want the pride to suffer because things weren't working out well. Amara had caught sight of signs that prey had crossed into their lands during the night and Amara was keen on finding it and taking it down. She called the pride to her in short chuffs, making it clear that she wanted to see as many members as possible for this hunt. She hoped that they would be able to fill their need for awhile so that it would be something she wouldn't need to worry about for a moment or maybe one of the pride members who rise to the challenge and she would find someone else to take care of the hunts.

The call from Amara went through and as loyal and diligent as Io always was, she came right after. As a hunter in the make, she would of course use any and all chances to sharpen her skills and do so by joining each hunt that came in. And like that she found @Amara into the distance, without someone to lead the hunts anymore it was important to do so on their behalf. Silently she chuffed to Amara to let her know of her presence. "My queen," She in a low voice. "We have many cubs around and a missing lead hunter, for that we might need to hunt more often. I will do my best to go out and join any hunts I spot to bring as much food as I can." And as such she went into haunting mode.

As the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the russet of the Bluffs, Apollinaire's curiosity was piqued by the unusual call for a hunt. @Amara rarely interfered with such matters. His inquisitive nature urged him to investigate, for hunts were typically summoned by the lead hunter. Since he had been mildly absent from the pride's recent happenings, the intrigue only deepened.

With an air of anticipation, Apollinaire finally arrived at the designated hunting grounds. His head dipped low in a formal greeting to the High Sovereign. The hound approached with a mix of curiosity and readiness. As he neared, he nodded a respectful greeting to the other lioness present too, and awaited instruction.

The call went up, and she is almost... eager to attend. With summer creeping to a close, she knows better than most how important it was to have a stockpile of supplies for the coming winter. She's hard pressed to think of the cold here, with the summer heat on the breeze, but she comes from a harder place than this, and old habits die hard. Dainty paws carry her easily over the terrain, keeping low to the ground as best she can. The red rocks of wolfbronn aren't quite a match for her fur -- not like the other two already gathered. Both strangers and both draped in dark coats, @Amara and @Io are half-shadows already. A small smile flits across her lips to them and @Apollinaire in greeting, though her brows pinch together in worry as she overhears io's concern. The pride's hunter was missing? It would be wise to prepare for winter, she murmurs, her whisper like a melody. Months off, true, but if the situation was like io said... then it certainly wouldn't hurt to be proactive.

Ears flicked forwards at her call, turning his head in the direction it had come from. A hunt? It felt strange to hear Amara calling for them instead of the tigress, where she had wondered off he didn’t know. If their cache suffered for it, who knew was trouble the Dieudonné might get into. Rising to his feet, he makes his way towards those that had already gathered in wait. He lumbers closer, emerald eyes dancing across Io, Apollinaire, Faolán and then Amara. So he had arrived relatively early. Moving towards Faolán the French Man would approach silently. It was still strange to see her within the borders. The red dust sticking out against her lighter coat. If anyone knew how unforgiving winter was it would be her, who had made her home in the Freeze for so long before breaking free. So once again he finds himself at her side in support, glad she was engaging with the pride and their activities. Letting his haunches fall, his gaze would return once more to Amara. Awaiting her command to begin, but more than willing to let the ladies take the lead. Fighting was his forte, hunting not so much.

She was nothing if not obedient. So the shadow appeared among the gathering for the hunt, nodding politely enough to the man she had fought with for Noble because that was just her way. She was more interested in providing for the pride at the moment than anything else. This would be her first winter up here, and she could only imagine that it would be harsh, far harsher than the winters she was used to on the beach prides. Judging by the whispering going on about stocking the caches, she guessed even that might be underselling it. She would see, and soon she imagined.

The girl was quiet as she approached, using her sleuthing skills to be a silent warrior in the shadows. Unnoticed by the fair few that were gathered usually. There were a couple faces that she didn't quite recognize but it mattered very little to her, especially at a hunt. If they wished to know her they would separate themselves and get to know her but for now there was work to be done in helping the pride gather some more meat for their stomachs and their caches. @Aideen had not shown, which was surprising, but perhaps she was off beating some troubled boy up and teaching him a lesson.

She swaggers towards Amara with undeserved arrogance, before looking about for a rock to score her claws down with a wiggle of her hips as she does so. The high pitched screech that follows as she drags her claws down the stone is nothing short of satisfying, and Aideen grins. Aideen knows she's tough shit, and whatever creature this was- was about to learn that too. Her head high, once her claws are satisfyingly sharp, she looks to the dark hued Queen expectantly. Well, you've called us so let's get it.

She does not hear the call.

As if her ears were full of cotton, amara's call washes right over her. Indeed, she does not realize anything is amiss until.... well, never. She doesn't even notice the hunting pRty, silent as they are. What she does notice, though, is @Apollinaire. Papa might be hunting prey, but today he is her prey -- the others are seemingly invisible, blurring into the background static of her dream world. But papa, oh! His paws are big, leaving large pawprints in the dirt that are easy to follow and track. Even as inexperienced as she is, she mimics the hunting party as she keeps low to the ground and keeps quiet. the urge to hum burns in her mouth but she keeps her lips zipped, mottled ears twitching wildly as she creeps ever closer.

With his parents tending to each other from a strange illness, Mars found himself taking up the mantle of his fathers role in the family. Patrolling, protecting, and now hunting. Tripfire had said he was making a quick trip out of Amaryllis for some flower that didn't grow here. It was suppose to help the symptoms they were experiencing, though his poor mother was taking it harder than his father. A day or two tops he said.

Shifting the teenager moved to join the family while he kept his body low to the ground. Giving a meaningful glance to his aunt @Amara that he wished to speak later. Tripfire had returned but he was going to smell... different so it would be best to let her know. With that out of the way Mars positioned himself, ready to lend a aid to his family. It was his first hunt and he hoped he did it well.
