It had been a few days since the challenge and Sunder was more than ready to relax. The cubs would be spending some time with their grandmother so in the very least she didn't need to worry about them attending an adult party. She was grateful for the Aviary and all that they were willing to do to help bring this party to life. It would be just what everyone needed, especially her. This would help solidify their alliance with the Lagoon and would allow everyone a much-needed break in the same breath. Sunder had made a pathway of water lillies and flowers across the beach, waiting until the evening to place them gently across the sand. It provided a beautiful walkway for her guests. In different sections of the beach she had laid out food and finally an adult tonic section. There were fermented berries and mangos to choose from, each with different potencies. The berries were mild whereas the mangos had a decent kick. She was proud of what she'd been able to set up, there was fresh fish and even some antelope and zebra to choose from. She scanned the area one last time before her melodic voice would call outward. "Come, let's feast and drink and dance." She says to all of her friends, welcoming them with open arms.

The time that passed had eased their tensions. Kvare no longer ordered patrols be doubled, no longer prowled the pridelands as if that mewling measle might appear from the bushes at any moment and attempt to usurp their throne once more. But as time forged on and his scent began to fade, Kvare's near-feral frustration dissipated along with it, and when @Sunder called for their long-awaited gathering, the King were aching for the relief. For as boyish and jocky as he was in the time leading up to his ascension, the stress and weight that came shortly after had nearly been enough to falter him. Suddenly, he'd come to know why Smaug had been as rugged and unshakable as he were remembered.

He'd played little part in the setup, beyond hunting some of its prey. Kvare did not quite have the gentle, guiding hand of his Queen, the dexterity and commitment required to amass such a thoughtful spread. Thus, when he arrived, fiery eyes widened in surprise at the care that had gone into it, the displays of flowers and fruits and preys, organized neatly across the shore. But the most beautiful part of it all stood among it, and the King wasted no time making his way toward her, pleased that he'd been the first to arrive, that he might steal these fleeting few moments alone before the others would join them.

When he came upon her, he aimed to press a quick kiss to her cheek, before settling down beside her. Though he was eager to begin the festivities, he would wait patiently for the others to arrive, to see that the Caladans and their allies enjoyed their fill first. You've outdone yourself, he purred into Sunder's ear, leaning against her, so that their pelts tangled in each other.

They'd deserved a break.

A breath between the dry heaves of grief that had consumed the Lagoon. The wake of early motherhood that had left its Queen leaning far too heavily on her newly-appointed Heir. And though she'd not quite been part of the initial planning that Tiamat had done with Caladan and the Aviary, Tinúviel were happy to carry the flame, and find solace in this sense of camaraderie and peace between their prides. When she'd assured her children were gently tucked away in the den and under the sharp supervision of their father, the Queenmother made her way toward the Cove with whoever of her pride who decided to attend behind her. The distance was short, easy, and it reminded the healer-Queen just how comfortable it felt to be surrounded by allies.

By the time she arrived, the familiarity of Caladan's borders felt like a distant dream, as if she'd never parted from them at all. Very little had changed since Sahir's rein, and very little had seemed to change in the feeling of their gatherings. She could have sworn when she first came upon the festival that she could see the impressive white form of Corinthian lurking the beach, she could see Sahir flanked by his wives, rejoicing his tales written in the stars. A small frown flitted onto her lips, but as she grew closer to the small gathering, it fell away.

She first approached the High Queen and King, dipping her head as she came to a stop just before them. Thank you for having us tonight, she introduced, before raising her hazel gaze, My name is Tinúviel. I was Tiamat's sister-Queen, and in the wake of her disappearance I— she choked momentarily, straining, —I hope that I can continue this alliance in her stead. She then spared a glance back toward her incoming pridemates, a soft, warm smile replacing the nerves that had been there moments before.

Carina came for the sake of appearances and, in a way, to do so because Tiamat could not. If she was going to do anything it was going to these gatherings on behalf of the sister-mother-friend that couldn't be here. She followed a bit of a distance behind @Tinúviel by means of not wanting the lioness to know she was even coming but the last thing she wanted to do was attend a party. Though as she strolled up, she realized that it was much more than just a party as she stared at the fruits that she could easily tell, as a medic, were not meant to simply be eaten. They were meant to be enjoyed. Carina let out a soft sigh and stopped, her shoulders slumped. It most certainly was not her style and so she allowed herself to remain at a distance; though, if either of the Caladan leaders looked to her then she would give them a smile but she was only there to watch and participate minimally.

I put my armor on, show you how strong I am

Time passed, wounds healed and life went on. Though she'd spent her time mostly away from Caladan in the more recent times, the pale furred woman was on her way back. She'd almost forgotten about the events that had been planned, but when she crossed the borders, the scent of the flowers drew her closer.

Originally she'd intended to go to her den, to hide and sleep. But she found herself drawn to the beach instead. Her hardened gaze softened as she looked at @Sunder and she even gave @Kvare a small smile. "You've certainly outdone yourself," she softly muttered to her friend as she brushed past her, nudging her nose against Sunder's cheek if she allowed.

But once she'd greeted her friend she turned her attention to the others who were already present, straightening her posture a little as she gave them a welcoming smile and a nod. While leaving the talking part to her Queen she did want their allies to feel welcomed. Though she stepped over to the sidelines, giving @Carina a small and subtle nod in greeting without making it too obvious to others.

Marja wasn't a stranger to the concept of a party. She heard the call, and meandered towards it- only hesitating on the edge when she arrived. In the swamp, when they had parties (which they totally did) there were... sacrifices to be made and Marja wasn't usually invited because they found her to be... she did not know. She just knew that most did not like her. Many energy, she thought. She hesitates on the edge, watching the group gathering- smelling the scents of the Lagoon, and noting the strangers mingle as well. Huh.. no sacrifice, but there was prey. So, she hesitated a bit longer... unsure of her place here.

She was admittedly a little nervous as she waited for the lagoon members to arrive. @Kvare leans into her, telling her she's outdone herself and she smiles up at him. She just hoped that all of this seemed welcoming to the Lagoon, that was the main message she wanted to project this evening. @Tinúviel is one of the first to arrive and earns a warm smile from the floppy-eared Queen as ears preen forward to listen to the fellow Queen speak. 'Thank you for having us tonight, My name is Tinúviel. I was Tiamat's sister-Queen, and in the wake of her disappearance I— I hope that I can continue this alliance in her stead.' The smile does not wane from her features and though tonight wasn't necessarily a night for politics she steps forward to close the distance between herself and Tinúviel. Swooping a paw around her she brings her against her chest in a fluent hug, knowing that in the moment it was what she needed, hell maybe what they both needed. "Of course. We are here for you, anything you need." She says against her cheek before releasing her after one final squeeze. "Now please, enjoy yourself. Relax. We deserve this." She says with a grin before her gaze would shift to land on @Lagertha. She would move past the Lagoon Queen to offer her friend a warm headrub before pulling back, "Thanks for coming tonight." She says to her before again her attention would shift, this time landing on the two individuals lingering on the outskirts of the gathering, @Carina and @Marja. "Ladies please, join us. There is plenty of food available, mingle. Get comfortable if you'd like." She offers warmly to them, beckoning them to come closer. She didn't want anyone to feel outcast, they were all welcome here.

It was better to be late then not show up at all.

At least that was what she told herself when she stepped onto the beach, walking confidently towards @Sunder and @Kvare. She didn't see Keligan here, and wondered why the woman's husband seemed to be absent from such festivities, but she did not ask. Instead, giving those gathered a once over real quick, she stopped before the High Sovereign and dipped her head to her.

"Miss Sunder, this is certainly a nice gatherin' ya have put together! Thank ya for invitin' us here tonight." She would move in to give the queen a bit of a nuzzle, if allowed, and then turn her green eyes on Kvare, who she did not know, but being next to Sunder, she assumed he was a good friend or someone to know. "Hi handsome," she drawled, dipping her fluffy head in greeting. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Azhira, leader of the Aviary." She offered her paw to him - for him to touch, shake, lick, kiss, whatever he thought was right.

"I'm excited to get into the festivities," she said with her nose twitching. She could smell Sunder's alcoholic tonics from here and was eager to sink her teeth into one of those mangos.

Bright eyes moved quickly to the lioness that had caught her among the sidelines, offering @Lagertha a tight toothless smile in return. Well, as toothless as one could with elongated fangs like she had. Looking at the woman, though, she could see that that was something they shared in common. Interesting! Though, she was quickly taken by @Sunder expressing to her that she should come on in and mingle. I'm alright. Th-thank you, though. Perhaps in a few minutes she might crawl in closer for a bite or two but she wasn't really sure on how or what she was doing here. With Tinuviel here, it was mostly just Carina playing dutiful member and tribute to Tiamat whom she would've followed to this event as she had Tin.

Eyes moved to @Azhira and watched as she greeted @Kvare, looking to the paw that she extended to him and waiting to watch the exchange. Curiosity at the display and wondering what he would do.

She so very gladly returned the brief moment of shared affection, nuzzling @Sunder before they both stepped back. "Always," the pale lioness muttered softly to her before she found herself on the sidelines in a rather comfortable way.

Her own fangs poked over her lips quite prominently as she gave @Carina a smile in return. They'd not met properly, but perhaps that would change. Not being the only one present with elongated fangs certainly got her attention. There weren't many she knew or could think of that she'd encountered with such an interesting look.

Though she might have been tempted to speak, she too found her attention drawn by the arrival of the tigress. With a hint of amusement in her eyes she curiously watched the scene between @Kvare and @Azhira unfold.
