So he made his way to the Pit, somewhat hopeful that none of the family would come to watch in case he made a fool of himself yet again, and called out for someone to come test him. He didn't care what they wanted to fight for or over, just that someone came to fight at all.

It had been a while since he'd had a fight. Hmm, maybe since that disaster of a fight against Apollonaire, come to think of it. It had taken a while for his jaw to heal, and it was still mildly screwed up anyway, just a bit crooked if he didn't stop to think about it when he closed his mouth. He didn't know how to fight with it like that, and he supposed it was time that he learned.

She's itching for blood, it makes the insides crawl. Twitchy, restless,, Series can't stand the quiet. When pacing didn't work, she took to awkwardly loping (to the best of her abilities) across varying territories unclaimed. Her three legs find her entering the natural arena in the pit, and here is where her heart races. The scents of battle were engrained here. As if the dirt itself was rich with iron from countless bodies and blood spill. It makes a twisted grin pull back the lacerated parts of her visage, crinkling pale colored scars.
She finds an opponent almost immediately, and doesn't say a word. She approaches from behind, a walk at first, before her body lurches forward--Sersie is not a tactician. She doesn't think before she acts. The woman is a brazen, volatile, reckless thing. And so, her hind legs launch her forward--partially airborne--as she seeks to come down hard on the back of this stranger's neck. Hoping that he had not seen her, and if he had, that it had been too late to fully dodge. Sersie's clawed right arm seeks purchase along his spine, her teeth aching to sink deep beneath the furs of his mane in a desperate attempt to taste of the flesh. She wants to feel the rivets soaking her fur, wants to taste the salt of meat, and the iron of blood.
And most of all, feel the pain of his inevitable retaliation.

notable characteristics: left leg is amputated, missing right eye, left eye was damaged and dead taking a milky white color. She is completely blind
the foliage here is as invasive as it is resilient.
the limestone is fertile, having spread and expanded through what could have only been years and years lost to time. the arena must be as ancient as the land itself and imogen takes a moment to eye the chickweed and bittersweet nightshade that forces its way through the cracks in the stone. imogen ponders what else could be aiding the growth of the flora here - an underwater reservoir? soil somewhere beneath the stone? or was it -
blood?
although stale, its unmistakable. its a scent that clings to her memory, that she has become desensitized to after the fall of her kin. deeper in the arena, the medic soon spots movement and with a sidelong glance, notices a lioness creeping towards one of greater size. she's stock still as she stares, spotting the missing limb of the female as she leaps in attack. eyes wide, imogen remains standing a safe distance away from the fight - was this some sort of training ground?
well, the scent of iron and rust would now make sense.

He heard someone approaching, he did, but by the time he started to turn and look he felt her land on his back, teeth sinking through his mane into his neck as claws punctured the skin of his back. Ow! Hey, that's fucking rude, he snapped as he tried to pivot his butt in the opposite direction that she'd landed on him from, knowing he had to turn himself to get most of his weapons within range of her.
It was then that it occurred to him that he couldn't see one of her legs, but he also didn't feel it on him either. Holy shit, was she... yes she was. Angelo was legitimately impressed at both her ability to fight while missing a limb, and also her sheer audacity in choosing to do so. Certainly made his little jaw issues pale in comparison.
He wasn't going to go easy on her, though. Not when her teeth and claws were firmly in him. So he lifted his front paw that was closest to her, bracing himself on his others as he attempted to swipe at her side, low by her belly.

She takes him mostly by surprise, and the wheat colored demon is thrilled by it. His words almost dared to make her cackle out in glee--of course it's fucking rude! But don't go moping into the out where the nettle of true warriors was tested. That was her thoughts, lost in em as she was, when he pivots and swipes.
Sersie doesn't have the luxury of balance. The missing limb is not fresh but new enough, that fighting as she was did not come easy. There was no chance to block it, no chance to move swiftly from his grasp. Claws rake along her underside, tearing her from her prey, knocking the center of balance (or what little she did possess) completely off kilter. The lioness finds herself hitting the dirt on her left side, unable to truly brace for the impact. Hind legs scurry to make up the difference, twisting to spring her back at a moment's notice. But she coughs, the air is sucked from her lungs on impact. A strained sound comes from her throat, fighting through the bleeding, the pain, the struggle of this wonderful dance.
The short distance between them is enough for Sersie to keep going. Her hind legs spring her back into this frey--rearing, almost leaping directly back at him in hopes of her right paw and it's weapons to find unscathed skin along his skull, for her teeth to bite down directly upon his face. Risky, absolutely stupid, but the adrenaline was worth it.

Despite himself, he did feel a bit bad when she went sprawling, and that moment of hesitation was more than enough to let her rise and lunge at him once more, the claws on her one remaining front paw reaching for him.
He ducked his head, which probably spared him having a fang sunk into his eye socket, but did result in claws sinking into his already rounded neck and jaws around his skull, so that was equally not as fun.
He reared up, putting his height and weight advantage to (hopefully) good use as he attempted to throw her off again. He reached up with his own right paw, attempting to shove her upper shoulder. He could tell by the spill she'd taken that her balance hadn't entirely been regained after the loss of her limb, and while he supposed he shouldn't take advantage of that in a friendly bout, this seemed... somewhat less than friendly. Perhaps the blood trickling down his forehead and neck was an indicator of that.

Sersie needed to learn how to keep balance. If this fight was going to prove useful it was showing the lioness where her weaknesses were poignant. Exposed. Not having the correct coordination would take practice and a sharp mind to mend, neither of which she was particularly thrilled with doing (or even possessed). He ducks and the attack is struck upon his already wounded neck region, but she doesn't seem to care. Why would she? Sersie was fighting to fight, not over something important.
Give her more scars and she'll just have more stories to tell.
His paw gets her in the shoulder, balance disrupted once more. But she feels it coming this time, feels the tense of his muscles. She doesn't doge it per say, rather dig her clawed right arm deeper into him as she stumbles. She tries her best to twist in her fall, jaws snapping at the arm that dared to push her aside hoping to at the very least tear some flesh from his frame.

Damn, lady, he commented as he felt her claws sink in further, clawing down the side of his neck as she tumbled over. He probably should have realized that was going to happen, he thought. So he bowed down with her to minimize the damage there, and of course his limb ended up in her mouth. More furrows appeared in his skin, especially as he attempted to whack her in the teeth with the limb she'd latched on to.
Knocking her over had been a decent idea, he realized, but maybe it was best done when his opponent didn't have a grip on him like she'd had. Otherwise this was what happened, apparently. You're a badass, you know that? he commented as he flailed his limb, trying to get her to let go.

absently, she collects the chickweed. she gathers bunches of it that have matured and leaves behind the greens that arc up towards the sun still. carefully, imogen shies away from the dangerous nightshade. her eyes have barely left the fight below her, gaze ticking away before pulling back towards the spar - only, it feels a little more violent than the typical bout. the large male has already sent the tripod reeling and each and every time, she leaps back with more determination than the last. the male's neck is wounded and the lioness bleeds from gashes on her side and surely, bruises that will flourish after a tumble or two on the rocky ground.
imogen swallows thickly, ears straining to hear what is being said. she hopes that they'll both relent soon and part ways, satisfied with whatever urge they had to sport their claws and fangs.
