Krait is the gentlest of giants. Constantly wearing a warm, amenable smile, he knows how to make others feel welcome in his presence. He speaks quietly, with the earnestness of a close confidante, shows interest in the lives around him, and shares in their highs and lows like they are his own. Tenderhearted to a fault, however, the thought of any kind of conflict makes his stomach turn, and he strives always to reach a peaceful resolution.

At his heart, he wishes for peace, for happiness, for relief from all woes. Because this can be such a difficult task to achieve—and because the responsibility of his clan does not rest on his shoulders—he does what he can to alleviate the wants and needs of his fellows. As much as he lends a listening ear, he is there to assist in other ways, providing food, items, information, whatever they may need to make their lives easier.

His goodness comes with its faults, however. He gives so freely of himself that it is easy for him to be used or taken advantage of by selfish types, and he can wear himself down quickly. His naivety makes it difficult at times for him to see other perspectives, though he tries his best, and in certain situations—particularly those related to his clan’s beliefs—things can be very black and white.

Soooo this guy was a bit of an impulse application. I really liked the design and luckily felt I had a personality type among my current roster that was missing that I could assign to this dude.

His clan name is Gn'th Azanah, meaning sea snake, but among outsiders (and as a nickname) he will generally go by Krait. He's a total soft boy with a big, generous heart. I don't see him being outright ambitious (nor does he think he's smart or spiritually attuned enough for it), so his goal in life is to make it easier for everyone else to do their much more important jobs--hence Ranger as his master trade (ambassador for sub since he's so averse to conflict, but could possibly change if necessary?). His Nathnsu’, naturally, is a krait, and I'm very attached to the idea of him decorating himself with blue and black "paint" during festivals/celebrations to better mimic the coloration of his namesake.

I haven't decided yet if he ought to have joined later or been born into things, so I've left his age and history blank for now in the hopes it can be worked out with the group. If he fits in anywhere with ideas people have for other characters, I'm ready and willing to work him in somewhere!

N'ephaiagha "Paikea" 'othor

Born into the clan to a doting mother, Paikea was nutured her whole life within the folds of the family. A love of water was near constant in the young girl, and she loves to go swimming in the water to this day. Finding her away from the shorelines is rather uncommon, as she feels closest to Uvi'ri there. From the moment she opened her eyes, Paikea was always destined for something greater than she knew. Revealed to have an Orca Nathnsu' upon opening bright blue eyes, she's always been a stronger spirit. Not one for serious fights, she prefers to mitigate issues with speaking and discussion rather than claws. As is standard of all members of the clan, Paikea was given 6 scars, 3 on either side of her neck, to mimic gills. She bears these marks with pride, and often wears accessories that do not hide them - but rather accent them and show them off.

Following her R’luai’nafh ceremony, she feels an even deeper connection to the spirits than before. Paikea is often found communicating with the spirits, and trying to deciper the signs sent to her to help guide the rest of the clan. Despite her size, being bulky but streamlined, Paikea is not a fighter. She has the ferocity of the orca, and will fight if pushed to it. But only in defense of her family and loved ones. She's got the bulk to be vicious if she desires, but she does not use it too often. As a nod to her Nathnsu', Paikea wears a crude necklace with an orca tooth on it along with some crude bone earrings in her right ear.

Fierce and protective of those she cares about, one might think Paikea is prone to becoming close with others very easy. However, she's quite standoffish with those not in the family, and even those who are a new to the family. However, once one gains her trust and protection, they have it for the rest of their lives. But, she is very much one to hold a grudge if you break her trust, and if one hurts the family she will advocate for either their removal from the clan completely, or in rare cases - their death.
