Expectedly, @Amara did not answer her. “You know I’m right,” Léonie goaded, her voice strained yet amused. “You keep blaming us, so whatever, we’ll keep blaming you.” Or, perhaps their grandmother. She was certainly old enough. Regardless, Léonie was right — Amara’s kin had reopened the wound without provocation from the younger generation, to drain the blood within for simply being Miroslav. Léonie would not have tried to do the same to her runt had they not came for her home, her family.

The Heiress could feel Amara’s movement as she tried to pull them down, and uh, fuck that. She remembered how Markus had pinned her once. Léonie refused to be forced onto the ground again, and quickly dropped her paw to try and stabilize herself — abandoning her attack on her enemy’s neck. It allowed her to catch herself as the older lioness shook her head, thrashing her striped shoulder open. The previous wounds were carved deeper, wider — oozing trenches formed under those biting teeth, causing blood to stream down her shaking limb and onto the sand below.

Suddenly, Léonie snarled and attempted to throw her weight backwards — trying to yank her skin out of Amara’s mouth and bring her skull closer to her enemy’s. She turned her head inward as she tried to pull away, teeth aiming to snap together on her opponent’s cheek, directly below the eye in an effort to force her away. She was over being some chew toy.

Amid, amidst a crash of worlds

The small lioness had watched with growing intrigue, though she was snarling lowly. She'd not chosen any sides in the conflicts, but she certainly wasn't impressed by someone attacking a child. And so she watched the resulting fight with interest.

But eventually her attention was drawn to others, gaze flicking from one to the next, somewhat bored, or so it seemed. Though...when the Oasis King's voice rang out, her ears flattened, a low growl vibrating in her throat. Her short tail twitched behind her as she stalked off. "Way to make an impression on prideless folk who might be lookin' for a potential home." She scoffed and straightened her posture as she continued on her path to leave.

God has brought hell to earth.

He's no believer—he can't even name a single god—but there's no other feasible explanation for the din outside, he's sure of it.

One moment, he's being ferried on the wings of sleep, and the next, there's an uproar the likes of which he's never heard, followed by the coppery smell of blood. When he wakes, @Eric is no longer in the den with him. He starts from his uncomfortable bed, panic seizing him as his head goes through all the scenarios in hypervelocity.

Did they drag Eric out of his prison for a thrashing?

When he rushes out of the den, he can see that's not the case. The palomino man is standing directly outside of their prison, and he hastily sidles up next to him as he peers out across Andal slack-jawed. Fights are breaking out left and right. There's an incursion of some sort, he's certain. Maybe someone is staking claim to the desert, like Ambrose had done himself not so long ago. He sees the familiar face of the iron-fisted king, @Scorpius, and his wingman, @Léonie. He doesn't see the dappled man that ruined his face, nor any of his associates.

He hopes to see Cirilla, but instead it's @Helah he sees fighting the white-streaked asshole. The temptation to join the fight against the oasis and make a break for it is overwhelming, but for now, he looks to Eric, finally prying his eyes away from the chaos. "What the hell is happening?"

How funny it was that upon his return to Amaryllis of course he had to be welcomed with a challenge..one of those where drama and blood were just the regular happening on these events. That alone brought the now man towards the Oasis, green-eyed finding fights around him. One was of course from the challenge itself, but the other, he saw someone he knew well. Someone he would have never forgotten not even in a million years. It was Leonie, his childhood friend. His best friend if one asked him. She was into a maim match with another lioness from a different pride he had to guess by their two different scents. The drama between pride seemed to be common to watch in these lands.

Despite his urges to help, he didn't want to dishonor her, he didn't want her to feel like she couldn't fight her own battles. He needed to respect it even if seeing her like that hurt him deeply. So sighing and with an angry expression he sat down on his own spot. "Damn it.." He muttered to himself.

grandmere intercepted the fight, but faustine still found her face twisted into a scowl. she may be a babe, but at least she knew honor, and at least she knew adults should not be fighting children. how wretched and weak was this family to teach their lions to take advantage of babes? helah was right to come and take their throne - that'll teach them to mess with her!

oui, papa yes papa she said, tipping her head to gaze into the familiar red eyes of @Apollinaire. it was good to see all of her family here- papa, mama @Louve ♔, grandmere, and auntie @Elaine ♔ - that she thought she would see her sisters and brother too. though it was harder to look around now that she was being sandwiched by her parents.

@Adelita, a woman faustine didn't know, spoke to her in an accented voice. i'm okay she told her plainly. mama raised her to be strong and to fight back the moment they come at her. even if her opponent was an adult, faustine will fight like she always did.

His first few months in the Bluffs had been quiet, contemplative. He'd stalked Aislinn around the pride, latching onto what he knew in the wake of what he didn't. But eventually, Audric needed to branch out on his own, and a call for war upon the Oasis' borders were no better time than to test his mettle, his loyalty. For so long had the Dieudonnè skirted on the edge of war, stories of challenges happening upon Amara time and again with her emerging victorious each time. There was never truly any drive beyond the occasional flickering ember, but the Dieudonnè would always rein victorious, and the tides would never change. Audric never minded such a thing.

Perhaps Helah would show them differently.

He emerged silently from the underbrush and slunk his way stealthily toward the gathering Wolfbron group, hoping to arrive undetected until he came to stop by them. Lingering decidedly near @Elaine ♔ and @Adelita as they stood guard over @Faustine, careful eyes watched the battles unfold between their Queen and their Heiress. S'ils attaquent des enfants, he begins, flashing the small collection of lethal plants he'd gathered on his way here, Alors les dieux ne se soucieraient pas si j'empoisonnais leur approvisionnement en eau. His voice was low, intended for only those around him; but there is only a half-seriousness in his threat. It could very likely end up with Helah wearing the crown once their battle concluded.

Doe-ish eyes blinked in quiet delight as @Walpurgis suddenly stands to attention, a soft giggle erupting from her mouth at the lioness' quick reaction. You shouldn't be fighting, she said, You're too pretty. Caltáriel was inclined to agree, if not for the scarred throat she'd earned by Alaric and the bruised ribs by Keligan that had persisted for weeks. She was in no true shape to be fighting such ambitious and powerful lions—That's why we have you, right? she giggled, bringing a paw to cover her mouth, I promise I'll stay out of trouble.

But trouble always seemed to find Caltáriel, for just as she settled into her seat beside Whopper, she heard a low chuff rise above the noise and chaos of the battlefield. Her head turned, and quickly found its sights on @Keligan lingering on the borders. @Scorpius, upon his arrival, orders them to banish any who dare cross the border; for now, they all seemed to be lingering on the right side of it. I'm good at crowd control, she thought, giving Whooper a sideglance. A brow raised quietly, before eventually rising to her paws, sparing her momentary companion a glance before slinking in his direction. He was surrounded by the time she arrived, all markedly on the opposite side of the border than she, careful not to cross.

You've attracted quite a crowd, she observes, amused. Her tail came to rest over her slender paws, unable to account for all the lions surrounding Keligan, but addressing them all at once all the same. King Scorpius has asked that anyone not allied with the Oasis take their leave, she said pleasantly, a small smile flitting to her lips. Her gaze lingered on the Caladan King, however; she didn't quite want him to leave among them, curious to see if fate would turn in Andal's favor or not, and where it would leave them. At the very least, Caltáriel was trying to repay her debt; to show a loyalty to the Oasis that was afforded in exchange for her initial loafing. The more she could appeal to its King, the sooner she could find her freedom once more. She could only hope that Keligan saw the same in the glint of her gaze.

You know, had this whole shitshow not been happening, he would’ve said something snappy. “Well, hello Sleeping Beauty!” Maybe comment on the state of Ambrose’s bedhead, cause he knew how sensitive the kid was about his mane. Something funny like that. But this shitshow was happening, and the thoughts were just racing past his brain, in one ear and out the other. He simply couldn’t make sense of any of it. He couldn’t tell if he was supposed to feel happy or sad or scared. Who was he supposed to be rooting for? The lions who had imprisoned them, or the lioness who could bring them into something much worse? Well, if she wasn’t Ambrose’s paramour, that is. Eric turned to look at @Ambrose, part elated that he’s well enough to stand and part horrified that he’s now out here. Vulnerable. “I don’t know. I think someone’s challenging for the pride.” His throat tightened, his mouth felt dry. Eric turned to his brother, his wounded, already half-destroyed brother. “Is that her? Your Cirilla?” He looked out again at the female as she was locked in combat. “She’s…” Scary? Hot? Scary-Hot? Clearly brain-damaged if she though she was going to be able to take on that mountain of muscle alone? “Nice…” Well, don’t sound SO convinced! It wasn’t until she heard that Sawyer realized…this was home. When that cry hit her ears, her first though was: they’re trying to take away my home. Our home. The thought of her mother was enough to send her running out towards the sands, her breath coming out in tiny, silver puffs. She came just in time to hear the end of Scorpius’s sentence. Not wanted here, on my borders or inside it. Sawyer was scared. Excited. Scar-cited? This was her first ever fight, and she wanted to make everybody proud. Her mother. Her king. Miss Léonie. But she didn’t even know where to start. Even less how to win… The golden yearling spotted a girl of similar age, and while she didn’t exactly know what pride her scent was, she knew she was foreign. An intruder. Sawyer took a gulping breath, and began to charge. “Get out!” She cried, as she attempted to headbutt the striped girl. Had she done a double-take, perhaps she would’ve seen that the tell-tale signs of Miroslav on her, but for now, all she could see was red, and all she could hear was her heart beating wildly against her chest. Oh well! The red woman had risen at the cry and spent a few moments ensuring that her herbs were gathered, and organized before she struck out towards the source of the rallying call to battle. Kireena was no stranger to battle, she didn't generally enjoy SENSELESS violence - but would take this attack ,... not quite personally but seriously.

As she arrived, many had come in to loaf, lounge, and otherwise gawk on their borders. Lips peeled in irritation as the goliath lioness cast her gaze over those gathered. She had spent much time exploring these lands, and now saw a face or two she was familiar with. Sadly - they did not appear to be on the same side here. When @Scorpius arrived and told everyone to get, she noted that only one Andallan - other than the lioness embroiled in battle with a dark starry female... moved to follow orders. @Caltáriel spoke, and still so few moved..

Kireena held no rank - but she wanted one.. and hadn't the king said that work and effort was rewarded? A self-serving opportunity stood before her and she let her gaze turn towards any standing. It was @Adelita's words that caught her eye. "Rise to this." The red giant stalked forward, head low, claws piercing the sand beneath her feet.

"Get the fuck out.." Jaws parted, her lips splitting into a smile, eyes focusing on the other smaller female. She would advance, stalk and maintain a vigil for others that might try to defend the wee woman with a big mouth. She didn't exactly agree with the attack on a child - in fact she didn't agree at all.. but Kireena COULD and WOULD see to it that she started chasing some of these unwanted fucks out of here.
