@Lachesis did not take long, the commotion he heard ahead signaled to Aeistrios the trouble brewing.

He didn't expect his newly-ranked Noble to go for children. Cubs, young ones at that. It wasn't a move he would of made, not when he'd been influenced by Renfri, Reah and Sayen too much. His first target escaped - the second? Locked in battle with another, and suddenly so was Lachesis. The Summit ruler emerged, locking swiftly into battle with him. Then, there was @Amara . He actually respected her to a degree - but her defending the side of the Summit soured his expression. He couldn't blame her, wouldn't blame her - couldn't even blame the Summit for jumping at Lachesis.

Aeistrios would have done the same.

He was, however, well aware his pridemate was in danger. Two against one were tricky odds, even if he joined the fight there was no telling who else was about to be charging in. No, his best bet?

Something to take their attention.

A growl, deep and rough against his throat as he neared the Summit woman standing afar. Someone, he had learned before, was related to Cassandra. He couldn't help Lachesis in the battle he picked, he knew Renfri and Reah would skin him alive if he laid paw to a child so young. So, his options were slim for distraction - not that it didn't work to his favor. Hurting someone close to Cassandra was victory all on its own.

"I hope you don't mind --" his voice loud, looking to demand the attention of @Talisa . "-- me entertaining you for awhile?" In sync with his words, does his body attempt to lung at her, hoping to charge into her with the force of a derailed train.

Cordi I love you. He's here visiting with his daughter's memory. He hates this place, he has the last few years. He hates how close to Maua he still feels here and how badly it makes their betrayal sting. He hates that it's the only place he feels safe trying to talk to his little girl.

He hears a commotion, and its the particular mixture of scents that sends him off sprinting as fast as he can from his quite corner of the peak.

"Mind if I join too?" He attempts to approach facing Aeisteros's left shoulder blade. His right forepaw swings upwards and he aims to drag it down the plum lion's left side rib cage. His outstretched jaws attempt to grab around the lion's lower mane just above the left shoulder.

There would be no satisfaction for him, of maiming the Summit woman. Instead - the familiar, aging form of Aquila comes in her defense, claws swiftly tearing into his side, deep lacerations steady in their wake. A grunt, head whirling around to face him in time to see the Brook jaws landing around his lower mane, right above his shoulder.

His blood began to flow instantly.

"You know, in a few years you won't be here to do this. Then what?" He growls out, annoyance clear before he attempts to bite at Aquila's face. He didn't miss the aging signs, the obvious way the Brook lion was older than him. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, Aquila would be beneath the soil he walked on.

He was annoyed. Good, thought Aquila to himself. The chilly mountain air ran beneath Aquila's fur, each of his breathes feeling just slightly thinner than usual. Maybe it was the altitude, maybe the age. Maybe it was just delirium.

The plain's lion's jaws caught and broke into the flesh along the left side of Aquila's face. Punctures and tears formed across the muscles of his cheek and blood tricked where he was torn open. His jaws opened again and he aimed right back for the same spot he'd already made bleed. Aiming to dig his teeth back in and go deeper into the muscles on the lower left side of Aeistrios's neck.

LAVENDER

It happened quickly, then – too quickly for young Lavender to make sense of. Ironic that, perhaps if she had only stayed away, the situation would have fizzled out into an unfortunate blip in memory. If only she were known for staying away. She had no time to sort out who had appeared or what was happening, only that she was locked in battle against a girl she had not anticipated to be so ruthless.

"Oof!" She groaned as the other girl tore herself away from Lavender's bite, hardly allowing any satisfaction in the move before she whirled around to face her. The mountain cub let out a snarl of her own as the older cub knocked into her, bruises blooming underneath the thick onyx of her coat. "You're mean!" She hissed, hardly able to get the word out before those needle-teeth were snapping into her left cheek in blatant puncture marks.

Her heart thudded with aggravated adrenaline, petty rage soon threatening to bubble up until it spilled over. Lavender lifted her left paw with her baby-claws flexed, attempting to tear them vengefully into her opponent's right ear. She angled her head to her left, trying to snap her teeth into the mossy fur of her dark muzzle following the cannibal-cub's own attack.

He only hears the words of the woman who comes charging at him. He does not know who she is, and he does not care. She carries the stench of his enemy and for that, she was free game. She calls him a cowardly monster and before he can tell her that he is a god, she is upon him. A snarl rips through his throat as her jaws come for him, he is only barely able to turn his head so that her teeth dig into his cheek rather than his eye. He has no time to stop her claws from cutting into his muzzle.

Perhaps he should have simply grabbed the girl and ran, but if it was blood she wanted, then blood she would get.

As her teeth dig into his face, another lioness comes. One he does not recognize save for her carrying the scent of the cub he left alone. Perhaps it had been foolish to do so, given he was attacked regardless for his good will.

Her fangs dig into his leg and he roars, realizing that no help will come. Attempting to rip his face free from the jaws of Morrigan, he then attempts to bite down on Amare from above, seeking whatever he could get his jaws on while she held on to his leg.

faustine was mean, the cub said. a wicked satisfaction bore its fangs inside the ghoul's chest. that was correct, she was mean because she was a wolf, and wolves took whatever their mean little hearts wanted.

the lunge made her own chest battered and bruised. the girl before her was wailing and it made faustine's instincts flare with a desire to make her cry even more. aw, poor, poor little icky baby she said, her voice dripping with faux concern.

but faustine was gracious too. she allowed @Lavender to claw her and shred her skin with those tiny baby claws. her tail whipping furiously behind, faustine's mouth pulled open into a sneer as she felt the stinging pain. there would be scars, though little, littered across her right ear and shallow puncture wounds on her muzzle.

faustine had yet to experience true pain though she had been curious. so, without much preamble, she attempted to grab lavender with both of her paws, hoping her claws would sink in to the cub's flesh. meanwhile, faustine pushed herself forward in an attempt to knock into lavender once more, though she was aware the action may cause lavender's fangs to sink deeper into her muzzle, if the other girl chose to keep herself latched onto the flesh. hopefully, this would knock the mountain cub down in time for faustine to crawl on top and squish her until she's out of air.

She misses her ideal mark but aim small miss small right? She was perfectly content to enjoy the bit of facial flesh she tore through anyway. Morrigan would have attempted to keep a vicious hold on his face but someone else had stolen his attention from her and his face was ripped away. Toward Amara herself.

The grit of her teeth as jaws clanged painfully shut turned into a grin of vicious glee as she would swing her lifted left claws down to attempt to rake them along his right leg, happily trying to damage those offending limbs that had dared harm her boy, wished to steal her girl, her godstouched children.

He'd of much rather be going against his inital target - the 'wow' factor of it seeming much more entertaining than battling with this old male again. The dissapointment of having to face him had settled well in his gut, too.

Regardless - Aeistrios would continue to engage. He managed to tear flesh along Aquila's face, but Aquila looked to make his own wound deeper by biting down at the same spot prior; if only shifted a few centimeters. A grunt, the pain from the wound throbbing at his brain as skin tore and muscles damaged. Aeistrios attempts to swipe one of his massive paws out, hoping to slam and hook his claws into Aquila's side.

Aeistrios's claws hooked into the front half of Aquila's right side ribcage, grasping into the flesh across the first few ribs and tearing down a few inches until catching in the bloody skin. Aquila, relentless and uncreative, went a third time in and attempted to grab once more with his jaws the left side of Aeistrios's neck at the base where he has already wounded twice over. His claws extending to try and grab onto the harder, rocky mountain surface and ensure his balance. If it ain't broke then don't fix it. Dig deeper, make wider, make bloodier, make suffer.
