She had two choices: rest her eyes on the rain outside, or rest her eyes on @Fissure - and she tried to at least both of them justice. More for Fissure because he was a lot more pleasing to look at than the rain pelting down outside. She offered him a smile at his offer; perhaps they would have to share a night alone together then...

She imagined herself adorned in a white crocodile skin, bedazzled in gemstones and poised as an important figure. If only. She could never imagine herself in such an esteemed position - not after how she had come into this world, been raised and brought up.

The rain had been steady for the most part throughout their conversation, but it looked to be letting up out there, just slightly. Perhaps soon it would stop altogether?

"Magdalene traded for this young girl once. She was a dainty and timid li'l thing. She looked like a leopard, but she was so small with a pink nose. She ain't stay very long; my guess is someone bought her up to be their wife quick. Never saw another leopard-lookin' cat like her." There were many that came and went in the Aviary as Azhira was growing up, but that one stood out to her. "Sad to say it, but lions were very common customers and workers while I was growin' up there."

He knew of a number of different felines, though mostly those born to lands like these. A leopard was nothing uncommon, but something smaller that looked like one? A cheetah might, or a jaguar, or maybe it was like that one he had seen briefly in the Aviary before? Do you mean those smaller leopards with a coat so thick and long it doubles their size? With a tail that is the envy of any feline given how long it is? I have seen one of those, only once and fleetingly. He commented, though he could be completely off.

Slowly he would sink down and make himself comfortable with a yawn. The rain seems unlikely to quit anytime soon. While we haven't room for a bit of play, I would not be opposed to using you as a pillow for a time, if you are of a mind @Azhira. He suggested with a sleepy grin._{BG — ART — CODE}

“Naw, nothin’ like that. This girl was small and her coat and tail seemed like nothin’ outta the ordinary... but had she looked like you just described, I doubt she woulda made it to the Aviary at all,” Azhira responded with a giggle. Though, Fissure’s description had her wheels turning now, imagining what such a creature looked like... and what a creature like that was even called. Did those exist in these lands? She’d yet to see anything that pretty in Amaryllis.

Thunder rumbled in the distance as they sat there in silence for a few seconds. As Azhira gazed out into it, she felt the weight on her eyelids as her body seemed to suggest a nap while they waited. She was relieved when it seemed like @Fissure was thinking the same thing. “Neither would I. Some extra warmth on this chilly and rainy day? Give it here.” Then she slowly sunk downwards on her elbows, tilting her body a bit sideways so that her back rested mostly on the narrow walls of their little hideaway. The warmth of her belly was tilted towards him, and she didn’t put her head down on her paws until she was sure there was enough room for him to lay down and get beside her in the position he had hoped for.

It was true; there was not enough room for anything fun, but a nap would do.

Fissure had seen the creature he described only once, and at a distance. He should like to encounter another, yet they seemed far removed from places like this. How he should like to befriend one, to cuddle against one, as they appeared as soft as a cloud. Perhaps in time you will see one, as I have for the briefest moment. It becomes easy for me to question if I was seeing things. He mused.

As @Azhira shifted, welcoming him alongside, he would settle himself comfortably, at least as much as was possible in such a small space. She was not so fluffy, but the fur of a tiger did seem a bit more silken than a lion. She would make for a nice pillow and source of warmth.
