Jules had been weighing her options in the shadows, not knowing exactly what she wanted out of being in the hollows. Hardly knowing anyone here save for her stripey-counterpart Dmitri, really and a little bit of the two (alex mostly) that had been at the Passage. Yet, she couldn't help but feel the gentle tug of necessity growing under her skin. Watching them parade around with words and ceremonious tradition that Juliette was growing fascinated with every second she wasted hiding. So when the time came she could feel the seconds draw out, knowing that her time was slipping and yet when there only seemed just a fraction of a hair left, Juliette Valour stepped into the light. I would like the opportunity. She didn't have any grand statements or ties to the family, but she did have some finer qualities. I am Juliette Valour, to those that do not yet know me. Depending on how things would go, it would be good for them to know her name now.

He waited with a grin but it seemed he wouldnt have to wait long at all. Rhenawedd answered his call. She came to barrel into him hard and he hissed as her fangs and claws tore at his skin. And christ did that fucking hurt! Yo it ain't that deep! He whined out. Lady was going at him like he had kicked her kid or something.

Hadyn shifted to try and push against her. While attemping to use her as leverage his own forepaws rose and attempted to drag daggers down both shoulders. Man, if he knew he'd get scarred up then maybe he would have rethought this.

Alexander watched his sister bless all those involved, who had stepped forth to take part in this tournament and have their chance to claim a place as his co-ruler. It made him feel proud to see so many ambitious members within his pride, but also saddened that he could not offer them more than he had. After the blessings were done, the beast let out a low call to gather their attention once more. "@Zsolt, you will fight your Uncle, @Mircea. @Valens, you can try your paws at taking down the lovely @Nesta. @Anthonius, Miss @Juliette needs a partner, see that she has one." A dip of his head is made as he motions them into position.

The battles were not quick, each opponent determined to win and take their victory. In the end, however, the outcomes were quite surprising, but not disappointing. Mircea, Valens and Juliette were victorious, standing triumphant. Slowly he would make his way down to the ring, facing his brother while he directed Juliette toward Mircea. "As there are no opponents, you will face me today, brother." He knew that Valens was likely slightly fatigued, but he also was aware just how determined he could be. They had all been through the wars, had all had to fight even when their bodies wanted to give out.

Without a doubt Valens did not disappoint. It seemed Juliette had managed to get the upper hand on Mircea as well. An interesting turn of events. Stepping back, panting, he grins at his sibling and motions toward Juliette. "Once more, this will be the final round. You are both on an even playing field now. Whoever wins will be my Sovereign." The beast turns then, moving back to his podium of sorts and settles to sit, chuffing to @Karsa and @Jazmin to rejoin him. He hadn't missed their actions, he had simply been watching the fights. "One day when you are both old enough, you can take this place as your own. It is a legacy I want to leave you." Though Ama was...wholly unstable, he did worry for the future of his children.

A part of her was surprised at her own actions but if she was going to find out more about what Amaryllis was like now, this was her greatest idea. Especially since her sister had trailed off yet again to parts unknown, leaving Juliette to figure out the pieces by herself. Though she had never been dependent on having anyone aside from her self but it would've been nice to turn to Rhae when she needed it.

Today, she fought hard against Anthonius and Mircea. Fighting until she was victorious and not looking back, this was a moment of proving herself just as she had when she had fought for Gentry. Though she had lost that day, she had fought without hesitation. Win or lose, she wanted to show the Hollow and its merry band of Savante that she was worthy of being here regardless of what rank she held.

Jules then turned to @Valens and nodded her head to him, giving him respect while also giving herself some, too. If you wish to go first, be my guest. Juliette let her defenses fall into place seeing as she was not at all interested in the ladies go first bullshit. She would much rather finish this fight off to figure out who would be standing at the end beside @Alexander ♔.

Admittedly, Valens is tired. He's fought hard to get here, standing against Nesta and then Alexander. It's a surprise to find himself in the final round of this odd competition, standing against a woman he'd scented and seen in passing, but didn't know well. As the dappled Savante stood before her, the beast had expected Juliette to start the battle, but she appeared quite polite. A grateful nod is given to the lady. Although a gentleman, Val knows when to set aside the instinct to allow a woman to go first, and follow their lead instead. It seems it would be disrespectful to decline her offer.

With this in mind, the dark warrior launches himself into action. His paws spring him toward the striped female head on with the aim to slam chest against chest while jaws aim to grab onto the space between neck and shoulder. He'll need to gain a grip on her in order to gain the upper hand - a smaller opponent almost always chooses to utilize their speed against brawn.

Valens just hopes for the best at this point. She's not so much smaller than him that it'd likely make a huge difference - right?

The woman was not so easily overwhelmed as to admit defeat despite it being of a differing gender nor potential experience, nor the fact that it was a Savante she fought. Little mattered other than simply utilizing every ability she had to try and win this. Seeing as this was a pride matter, poison was of little interest to her which she made the decision to trust in the lions that had led her here. None had proven themselves to be of a monstrous nature and so, she would give an honorable fight to those. So when he seemed to understand that she would not be a lady today, he was quick to set up a show.

@Valens came quickly to her, ramming his chest into her and forcing bruises to begin their creation. Juliette did her best to hold her ground as he did so to lessen the impact but there was no doubt to be some soreness in an hour. He then made to grab between her shoulder and neck, Juliette attempting to pinch her head just a little bit as he made to go for it, forcing his jaws to grab a light hold of the scruff and skin. Juliette went to lift her right front paw up, aiming to attempt to slash her claws just above his left eye and attempted to drag her claws down it.

Juliette stood tall and proud, a woman he could admire and respect. She didn't appear the sort to flinch from a fight, and Valens was glad to know his opponent had some mettle to her. The man wouldn't accept any less of someone who aimed to stand beside his littermate.

When the duo clashed, he too felt the blossoming of bruises beginning to spread across his chest. Claws aimed to keep him balanced as they moved together, his teeth slipping to her scruff and some skin rather than his intentional target as she moved to intercept him. As he'd suspected, the striped warrioress was quick and witty. His jaws would aim to tighten and reaffirm their hold, eye squinting to avoid damage to the globe as her claws raked his face. No movement to avoid them would otherwise be made.

Instead, the midnight Savante would aim to slash at her right shoulder with his own left claws - wanting to cling onto his opponent as much as possible.

@Valens most certainly held his grip at her neck as best as he could, Juliette not wanting to give him anymore in that area if she could help it. Obviously, of course, she couldn't deflect everything and knew that her focus was soon to be a little distracted.

While her claws found the area of his left eye, she focused on trying to return that leg back to the ground. Attempting to center herself once more and with his own left leg coming at her right side, his claws scraping new wounds across her shoulder before finding them hitched to her.

A low growl slipped through her teeth, most certainly not on purpose, as then then opened her jaws and attempted to bite his left ear that was partially sticking out through his mane. It was about the only tender area she could grab with her teeth while he had a hold of her neck.

The vicious slice of her claws over his eye stung, making him wince slightly as they travelled over the particularly tender lids. Thankfully they didn’t pierce through to the globe, but it was painful all the same.

Valens wouldn’t let a bit of pain stop him however. It was like an old friend of sorts, spurring him on from the front lines. With a low growl, he’d attempt to pull the claws hooked into her shoulder toward him while his crown tried to jerk in an effort to deepen the wounds he’d created in her scruff/neck.

Juliette’s teeth clipped his ear in the process, creating more white hot pain. Luckily the fight was near over. He was rather tired from the other battles he’d tended to today.

Perhaps he was getting old.

In the here and now, she knows that there is a high likelihood that she will lose this match. That she may not be able to dominate against a more experienced opponent for his attacks are met with purpose and with vigor. In the very least, she hoped to show what she was willing to do should anyone be unable to carry out their duties or feel the need to step down. That she was willing to climb the ranks in order to get what she needed and what she felt she wanted.

@Valens' claws scratched harshly on her shoulder making some moderate lacerations that she would likely intend to clean and doctor later (amateurly, of course). Such as the puncture wounds that were deepening within her scruff that made her head feel like it was halfway to the floor. In one last brazen thought, Juliette attempted to sweep her own left leg upwards to try and swipe at his right shoulder. Hoping to scratch anything as her muscles began to tense and struggle beneath the weight of their previous fights. Not wishing to buckle underneath Valens by means of giving up, Juliette was prepared to go out swinging.
