Don't look down, don't look down. Sedona stalked across red canyons perhaps brighter than even the russet of her coat, careful not to allow her gaze to stray too low for fear of what she might find there. Her paws left precise prints in the dust, small craters there to tell the tale of her visit long after. She would not venture so close to the gorge if not for the trail she had picked up a while back: prey, fresh, hopefully plentiful.

Sedona peered over her shoulder with a flick of her tail, hoping that she might find company that day to assist in the matter. Her heart thrummed steadily in her chest as she began readying her stance for the hunt that was about to take place, poised and determined.

The canyons were large and massive. It's a sight to behold, all the red stone caked in ancient dirt. Harou hasn't been here before, so he's eagerly exploring the area. He runs along the ridge, exercising for strength. He stops by a boulder to sharpen his talons on them. Scouting the terrain, that's when he catches a glimpse of a lone ranger. Her russet fur blends with near perfection against their desert surroundings. Harou's not one for small pleasant talk, so he doesn't say anything when he approaches @Sedona, only nods quietly in greeting. It's a low, dark rumble that leaves the wendigo's lips as his shadow trails behind his large form. Harou is all lean male muscle and chiseled masculinity. He is wordless as he comes to pause before her. He's already eager to hunt something down, to chase it for pleasure and sport.

His body is sore from the long walk to the gorge, and the shadows have grown long by the time he arrives, wearied and spent. His body is becoming better adapted to the exorbitant exercise, but his head is swimming just thinking about making his way back.

The duo ahead provide some much needed distraction, and by now, he recognizes the lioness, knowing that wherever she is, there must be dinner nearby.

He wastes no time dragging his claws against a convenient crimson rock, sharpening them in preparation of the hunt, before placing them back down on the ground. Eagerly looking from one lion to the other, he crouches in place, keenly anticipating a signal of some sort.

Occam had been following a scent trail and this ended up leading him to a pair of lions and a cub. He couldn't exactly blame this hunting party for being small given the location. It wasn't like a large mass of lions could travel the perilous trail that meandered its way along the rocky wall of the gorge.

"What do you think? Would it be better to go down there or stay up here?" He asked as he moved towards the edge of the gorge, approaching it from the top. His head craned over the edge in order to stare down to the earth far below. One misstep and it would be lucky to survive. This would definitely become a tricky hunt quite easily.

He treks through the desert sands once more, laboring against the undulating dunes. From somewhere up ahead, the scent of prey issues down toward him. It's coming from the gorge, and by the time he arrives, exhaustion has seeped into him again. But he won't stop now. Others have caught its trail, too— a freckled brown lioness, a larger, more familiar male, and a cub. Seem to be enough of us here. We'll improvise. Taking a lazy look around, he casts @Occam a thin smile, more confident than he feels, and up the stony ridge he goes, seeking to bridge the distance between himself and the prowling pair of lions. The air grows colder at this altitude, which helps a little, but his attention is on their prospective quarry, resolving not to look down lest his unsteady legs give way.

Another day, another hunt and today found Eisa in Red Rock Gorge exploring. She was wandering about, following the steady trail of prey, but also taking the chance to explore the land and get a feel for it. She only deviated long enough to roll within a fresh muddy spot she found, from rain some time prior- and then kept on traveling- until she scented a group of lions. She veered towards them, recognizing a face or two from prior hunts as she approached them quietly, her eyes scanning the horizon for whatever the first lion had scented- waiting for the hunt to begin.

Sands shift beneath his paws in a way that's unfamiliar and unsettling. Spark has decided that the desert isn't for him, no wonder his ancestors set up camp in the forest and didn't bother to leave. He was built for lush ground and trees - not rock and sand. The tiny grains were going to be a pain in the tail to get out of his fluffy coat, worse than dirt or mud by far.

Still, this trip wasn't a complete loss. Spark finds the small group of lions gathered atop the gorge. A hunt, by the looks of it. Another body will help them be successful, and besides Spark is never one to turn down a meal. Taking his place with the rest, he waits for to cue to go.

She hadn't been here before, that she could recall. The eye straining red of the looming canyons and their treacherous paths and ever winding trail to death or treasure. What awaited on the other side? Lunaire had originally been following the prints of another lion, soon noting as others joined in the dust, too fresh for whomever to be alone. Perhaps they would be putting together a hunt?

Her desire for bloodlust nearly brought her to miss a strange heart shaped rock jutting in the distance, raising her brow at it for a moment before considering this spot for a date night with Luther. It would be a beautiful view, during the evening.

Brushing such thoughts from her mind, she would rush to meet with the other gathering ahead.

Now this was a place she had not ventured to before but had seen from time to time. Not so tucked away in the middle of the dunes, were these giant skyscraper mountains but their height wasn't what drew her in but their color. They were this bright orange-red color that looked like they were stacked so precariously and could deflate the moment you touched it. However once you were close it was clear that they were just as hardened as the Peak, unmovable by a lions touch and likely that of an elephant's touch, too. Unbreakable, it seemed, and thus it made for an interesting place for a hunt and hoped that the lions here were more in tune with the layout than she was and more in tune than their prey.

She had never been this far west of Amaryllis until recently, and the urge to continue to explore and take in new places was what brought Isla here today. Paws carried her up a trail that entwined within the canyon, red dirt and dust beginning to already cover her fur. The heat was something she particularly wasn't fond of, much preferring the colder climate the snow mountain pride had to offer, but what type of well-rounded woman would she be if she didn't learn how to cope and survive in every climate she came upon?

Two toned eyes watched where she walked, coming precariously close to the trails edge whenever it got narrow. The woman would sniff the air occasionally, wanting to keep her wits about, and it would be when the scent of both predator and prey wafted toward her that Isla pivoted in her direction. Climbing up a clay wall with ease before dropping to the flat surface below her now, Isla would roll around in the dust and clay, helping to color her light coat to make her blend in some while also to help conceal her scent. Once back on all fours the Heiress would creep forward in a crouch, moving silently toward the group and waiting.
