~ Cerberus is attempting to remain hidden ~

Rarely does the hound care to indulge in these shameless displays of shifting, bloody politics, challengers reaching for power with greedy outstretched, so focused on their own ambitions that they do not worry about obliterating the order that came before them. Rulers rise and fall constantly - it is simply the mortal way of things. Why trouble himself with such complicated matters that are so very impermanent?

But this one does pique his interest. If Vermeda as they all knew it was destined to fall today, what might become of his sweet Ygritte.

So, he comes to keep a watchful eye over all that transpires, of course he does, when it is for her sake. He quietly steps his way past the pines, cloaking his shadowy mantle within the thick, verdant brush, scarcely enjoying the rare sight of the Brook's land, exuberant even in the tail end of autumn. No, his sight catches upon the blood red harbinger of doom, the man who so clearly desires to claim this place in a blaze of scarlet. Cerberus does not hate him for giving in to his nature. Not yet, at least.

The Queen that fights the crimson beast is a vaguely familiar figure, a face he knows a name to. Cassandra. That does draw an amused rumble from his throat, even as his eyes narrow intently upon the clash as it draws to a vicious close. So she was the High Sovereign, after all. He probably should've guessed that beforehand - it made sense. Quickly, his lavender eyes roam across the surrounding onlookers, noting the violence that has erupted between Vermeda and those who bear the grassy scent of the Plains, but notable not catching sight of Ygritte there. Hopefully, the chaos will neither disrupt nor harm her, wherever she is.

So he remains in the shadows, away from prying eyes, lurking, watching, waiting.

"Not always," she whispers, though she isn't certain it's loud enough for @Helah to hear. She'd barely survived losing her daughter, then later her husband. She would not survive losing her wife or any of her children. Not this time. It would be too much on her weary soul.

She glances around one more time for Eira, because she would take her with them, if she could only find her. "She would come willingly," she mutters sadly, defeated and withdrawn. She can't see Addie, either, and she hopes that means her daughter is elsewhere. Cassandra would look after her, she was sure.

But Eira is out of reach now.

Helah is pushing her and she turns, stumbling, unable to resist because her head is still foggy. Besides, the rules are clear. She is stolen, and unless Amara refuses her entry to the Bluffs - as an enemy, no doubt, would be unwelcome - then someone will have to realize where she is and come to find her.

His fangs lacerates her nose bridge. His mouth is full of ribbons of blood, now. He can't get a hold of her like he wants to, as his opponent moves swiftly, but he's satisfied by the outcome. She retaliates aggressively in turn, slamming her talons into his chest muscles, leaving more wounds upon his body. He's dripping in blood, and the crimson liquid oozes from his lacerations. The pain feels almost intoxicating. It's sharp and hot, settling against his skin like fervent prayers.

Amaroq would react swiftly, attempting to bite at her face once again; attempting to puncture her fleshy nose-tip this time, if he can time it well. It's his last move, to counter this queen. His last move to fully dethrone her, if he can win here, today. He had nothing to his name and he had nothing to lose. He's relentless and brutal, and he wants everything to end in a blaze of violent glory. With Olive watching, Amaroq hopes to impress the one woman who has captivated his heart.

Her size was deceiving. Neytiri lacked the strength and tenacity it took for battle. She simply wasn't built for it. But she wasn't going to complain or let it get her down. She really didn't mind. It wasn't like she was in a fight every other day. The Brook was the first to come around to earn her loyalty but she hadn't been here that long. The woman just wasn't mentally set on truly giving it her all. If anything, this was just a big game to her. Something fun to occupy her time. An inconsequential, yet exciting, gamble.

Her body jolted from ramming into the lion. He was definitely broader than her. It was like smacking into a wall. She missed her mark, which was frustrating. Instead finding her mouth full of mane. There was a pressure felt as he grabbed hold of her nape. Neytiri could tell from his grip that he wasn't using his full biting strength. He could seriously hurt her if he wanted. But he wasn't. Did he find this all as entertaining as she did?

Failing to pay attention, his paw caught her limb and she buckled. As she semi fell, her grip on his mane tighten. If she was going down then he was coming with her!
With her in his mane and him on her nape, she was stuck. Nearly pinned.
She then decided to release him. But also attempted to pull away from his own hold seeing as it wasn't a hard grip. She moved to try and push herself under him. To roll onto her back and make an attempted bite for his manhood. Not hard. Just a teasing nibble. Enough to make any man give a startled jump.

TW ends here It wasn’t until Reah disappeared did he look back over what had become a battlefield. Amaroq and Cassandra’s fight was coming to an end. A Brook member was fighting Aeistrios. Another lion was being fought as well, not someone he immediately recognized (Markus). He spotted his children eventually, the brilliant crimson of @Eisa and her shadowy sister @Analía. Myrkvi sought to approach them both. His face further bloodied by Reah, blurring the lines between older (yet new) wounds and the freshest ones. The cool air stung them all the same as he came to protect his daughters and observe for anyone else unsavory who wanted to come poke the bear.

Despite everything in her body screaming at her, she sat frozen in her space beside her sister. Dark thoughts swarming her head and making her feel as though she was under the waves being thrashed about. M-maybe, she murmured quietly beginning to put math problems together that she wasn't sure who was looking after the kids. Lukas maybe? Mother and father were here fighting their own battles while she and @Eisa just watched... though, apparently that might not be enough.

I .. I can't. She murmured pathetically to her red-furred sister feeling awful that she truly couldn't do anything. Ana hadn't a clue how to fight or how to do anything, she couldn't even see out of one eye -- she was practically useless! As @Myrkvi came to join them her face turned to his and she stared at the wounds upon his face. Blood that had dried upon it and the blood that was still fresh. A low whine escaped her face as she tried so desperately contain her emotions both fear and sadness. Wishing she could solve all of their problems in this moment.

With Morrigan injured, it falls on others to attend the challenge of their allies. The Summit queen’s daughter, no less. Roarke had mixed feelings about the girl, but that doesn’t matter much when a war was happening. He arrives quietly, still aching from his injuries from his last fight - but not put off, he quickly sees a target worth ripping into.

It’s revenge, largely, and entirely selfish. But he doesn’t care. The giant sees the ex-Bluffs king, current Hollows king, and what he wants is blood. Does it matter that it has been years, and the man he fights for is long dead? No. Not to Roarke. He wants payment, and he’ll have it.

Roarke runs directly at Vermier’s back, silently, attempting to shove hard into the male’s left flank with his shoulder bone and sink his teeth into the base of his tail.

This time, it would seem that her opponent had the advantage. His grip on her ankle had never let go the entire fight, and therefore his ivory fangs had torn their way effortlessly through flesh and muscle. His jaws shifted horribly, and she felt her bones break inside her arm. She couldn’t help but fall to the ground, and much to her dismay he even held on to her ankle for a moment longer.

The pain was like a red-hot burning fire, something that she had never experienced before. She gritted her teeth and stared up at the inky lion, watching his face bleed thanks to her attacks. He finally let go and spat her blood at her face, and let out a low growl as he told her to get the fuck out. Despite the pain, she was still filled with rage, but she knew that the situation she was in wasn’t ideal.

She got up, wobbling and struggling now that she was forced to use only three legs. She knew that she couldn’t stay any longer, even if she wanted to. She was now weaker, and an easier target for the Brook. There was no choice, nor good reason, to stick around. No, not unless she wanted to be mangled further.

The Queen forced herself to hobble off, noting that both Aeistrios and Renfri were now locked in battles of their own. All she could do was hope that they ended up victorious, and not end up in the same shape that she was in.

The large, clay mountain before him @Eskel seemed a dull sport, smoldering with few words compared to the cleaving sparks of Vermier's (superior) French-tainted language. "Oooh, monsieur? Ze bet, she no place." Lips half curled, reveling in their scars. He wanted a scrap to fight over, some little feminine thing to frighten. Even if he lost, he could have scared her with the thought of what happened if she won. As the Brook ladies did not seem forthcoming in their admiration of him he looked around for an Oasis lady to pursue. Interrupted, unfortunately, by the arrival of the Brook queen (here to steal his thunder?), and then the stately sensation of a gray truck ramming him from behind.

The scent was of nothing, a rogue, overpowered by the sharp outtake of breath from his own chest. Fangs stab painlessly into the massive scar tissue around his few stubby vertebrae remaining from when he and Arjana had stolen each other's tails. Vermier couldn't feel much back there. Mostly phantom sensations, a sense of absence and freedom. But blood spattered around the stretched ropes of scars before the momentum of the shove saved him from a lasting grip. Heavy bruising stretched over his left flank and his body was thrown forward, hindquarters slightly airborne and front paws pattering to scrabble-twist his body around... the contortions much like that of a cat attempting to orient itself in zero gravity. He aimed to end up perpendicular to the male, his skull sweeping low with yellowed fangs hissing and trying to grab an elbow or whatever was in reach really. It was all meat and marrow in the end.

She arrives late, but with her healing wounds Isla thought it better to be late than not show at all. With Morrigan recovering and Talisa just about to pop, Isla knew that not many from the Summit would be here and it was all the more reason as to why she needed to be. She had followed Roarke's scent, and as she pushes her way over the Brook borders she would take note of the fights coming to an end while others were just beginning.

Dual colored eyes first looked over at her older sister, watching Cassandra defend her crown, before her attention was brought to see the Summit's lead fighter engaged with the Hollows ruler. The Heiress was familiar with Vermier, knowing that Mutter and him had some sort of feud between them.

Isla would come to settle near a tree, staying standing while she continued to watch the fights. Ears would twist and muscles would tense, keeping herself aware of her surroundings to ensure that she would be ready if another tried to come at her.
