War and battle is nothing new to the man, even if fighting isn’t exactly his style. Oh, he can throw himself around if needed, but that is much more his husband’s skill. Azriael appears behind the man, pressing into his side.

"So much for a peaceful retirement," he hums softly, more amused than anything else. His purple eyes narrow on the fights taking place. "I don’t fancy moving again, my love." He says only for @Wolfgang to hear, lest his words be taken the wrong way. The dark Bezra will understand, surely. Loyalty is fickle at best, and the husbands have not been here so long that they will be missed in the exodus should their queen fall.

"Oh, what a nasty pride." Azriael comments when he sees the Plains king fighting one of the Brook for her right to live where she wishes, and others of his ilk ripping into other Brook lions. "Taking advantage of a pride challenge to come in here and steal." He huffs, speaking louder now, his comments and gaze directed toward the loitering trespassers gathered near. "Cowards, the lot of you."

He is not completely unaware of the chaos unfolding around him while he is in the midst of a battle dance. He can hear it, the sounds of claws against skin, bodies clashing together - scents mingling so much he can't tell who is who as he finds himself engorged with the smell of only Neytiri. As much as he would love to watch, love to see what his actions sparked by trying to steal this beauty away - he must first win her.

Which, was proving a bit difficult.

She was a seductress in his mind now, someone who knew their body and knew it well - and knew him enough to know she could easily use that to her advantage. Blood trickles from where her fangs had enclosed around his maw, and he is rather surprised when she gives up the hold there, as well as to his forelimb. With his freedom to move his jaws again, Aeistrios sends her a glare full of warning. He did not want to scar her, did not want to injure her too badly... but gods she was pushing him.

His limbs spread out, balancing his fat weight before she rams forward again, closing the distance she had once made. He is not used to a female being so huge, and he feels his weight waver a bit, a throbbing pain in his shoulder. Luckily enough, Aeistrios had veered his head backwards to avoid his face getting anymore injuries, and her fangs bite down upon the thick of his mane - although he feels the sharp tinge of pain where her teeth had pierced some of his skin underneath.

While having her so close, Aeistrios attempts to splay his jaws and try to grab roughly at her neck, mainly for her nape. His power mindful, he did not want to pierce skin but rather obtain a hold secure enough to try and force his strength down on her. Likewise, he also attempts to use a forelimb to try and hit at one of her own - seeking to aim and knock her off her feet.

'What could he have done to me?'

She has always been a monster, a creature that is used mostly for a warning. A lioness with a tagline. There's something wrong with Helah. She knows exactly what the male could have done to Revna, for had it been any other lion or lioness- she would have done the same things. Though she knows not, if the Mire lions truly have her level of depravity in mind, she wonders why her mind frets over the safety of @Revna.

"I could enlighten you, if you'd just cooperate." She huffs. She doesn't want to do those things to her, does not want to harm Revna. The fight that ensues is one of the stupidest Helah has ever been in. No claws, no teeth, and yet her body aches and throbs.

Helah cannot think of a time, as Revna's paws and legs buckle beneath her- that victory ever tasted so bitter. She sighs softly, panting quietly, as she lowers her head to sniff at Revna, to see if she is okay- to whisper. "I didn't want to hurt you." Soft words, meant only for the female, as her gaze narrows- focusing on tending to her possession, more than anything. It is possessive, not caring- and should never be confused as such. Helah's mind switches wildly from throwing herself into another fight, as the adrenaline courses through her... and from working to get Revna out of there- to her den, where she can be protected from herself.

"Get up. I don't care if your wife comes too but we have to get out of here." She orders softly, before inevitably, things go to shit further.

This red bastard was nothing to her - he was merely a target that needed to be felled. A threat to her home and her family. A threat to the young cubs she had tucked away in the den that had no idea of what was going on with their mother. She didn't know how she'd explain losing their home to the five of them if she fell here today. That's what kept her going in this fight. Knowing that she had a promise to uphold to the entire pride that called the Brook home, and those who had young cubs within the safety of the Brook.

His paws end up on the ground now, both of them finally standing fully on the ground once more. Her headbutt into his neck is successful, taking his breath away temporarily. His teeth would find purchase around her nose bridge, and she would aim to rip her head away after from his jaws. She would not be held down in any way - not if she still had a say in it. Her front legs no longer needing to keep her from falling, Cassandra would aim to lunge both of them forward in a last attempt to rip at anything within reach - be it his shoulders, legs or chest. Her aim was anywhere within reach, and she was aiming to rip and shred should her claws find purchase.

Approaching steps make her turn, expecting to see her wife. But... no. It certainly is not Revna. Her gaze flutters to him, turning shy as she shrinks into herself. As big as she is, it's no real illusion -- proven as @Caelum stays by her side, purring softly. He is familiar but only vaguely -- the sense of unease more evident than the memory of why. The war at the mire had been a blur of blood and snapping limbs; she spent so long trying to forget that she remembered little of the specifics.

She remembers enough, though, to know that he shouldn't be here.

Her smile is thin, fragile -- ears duck against her skull momentarily, as if she's sheepish about her state. E-excuse me, she says, rising to her paws -- clearly intent on leaving him here. The fight raged on for the brook but she's barely paying attention to it as it is. Missing so much of what is happening in front of her, missing the most important thing in front of her.

Her attacks land precisely where she wanted them too, the metallic taste of blood coating her tongue. Delicious. The thought was practically a purr in her mind, even as a new kind of pain spread across her ribs as teeth scraped and ripped the thin flesh spread over her ribcage, a thin stream of blood trickling down her chest. With a muffled snarl, she attempted to latch down on his flank with her teeth, shaking her head wildly from side to side in the hopes of causing more damage to the limb. It was evident this was not his first time getting torn up, but she hoped to leave a few marks of her own behind by the time the battle was done. Revna knew she had lost the moment her vision went black from the impact of @Helah's paw against her skull. Her head aches from both impacts and she is disoriented, feeling weak. Her heart still wants to resist but her body cannot.

Helah's words barely reach her in her daze. She hears the word enlighten but does not remember what she said to elicit such a response from the woman. She is aware enough to feel as Helah nears her, sniffing, checking her before whispering soft words. "Hurt can be more than just physical," she replies coldly, none of the flirtatious tone she often had with Helah present jn her words now. For though she does not remember the last few moments of the fight, she does remember why they were fighting.

But she is tired, oh so tired. The theft challenge had been so quiet, more of an argument than anything else, that no one around them really seems to notice what is going on. Revna glances around to the chaos of what has turned into a war between the factions. Cassandra still fights, and so do others. Her battle with Helah had been short in the grand scheme of things. What's worse is that she can no longer see her wife. She has lost sight of her in the chaos.

There is no rescue for her today.

She pushes herself to her feet, dizzy and unstable. But she is coherent enough to turn a glower on Helah. "If any harm comes to my wife because of this," she threatens, softly and darkly. "I will end you." Because her wife is currently unseen, blocked by the beast that had threatened her before, and Revna cannot see her. Anxiety hums through her body, but there is so little she can do right now. It is out of her paws.

When @Revna answers her, Helah scoffs softly. "Those kinds of hurts are easily survivable." She says matter-of-factly. She aims to nudge her with her head, to push her up to her feet- as Helah's gaze leaves her to study the crowds around them. Cassandra still fights, and so do others. She huffs softly, her gaze coming back to the female before her, when she speaks.

"Hold on to that. It'll keep you going." She says, as her gaze leaves, looking for this wife. She can see her by a large male, and she frowns- but that isn't her focus. "Would you like me to claim her too?" A pointed question, but surely is she not left in safer paws on her own?

"Come. We must go." She urged, trying to push her head against Revna to steer her away from there. Away from the chaos. Helah is done here, and wants to get out of here before anyone can realize what has occurred.
