Alaric had watched the fight closely, noting the strength of both competitors. It was surprising to him to see Markus hailed unsuccessful; from where he was sitting he had seemed the clear winner. All the same he would have given the same answer as his wife, and since she speaks up he merely grunts his agreement. "I'll look forward to the next fight," he said to them both, for indeed it had been a good fight. Rising, then, he ushered the cubs along with the queen, never passing up the chance to spend some quiet time with his family. -exit-. |

And so it would seem that he would end up keeping his rank. His bloodied jewels watched Markus closely to make sure that he wouldn't attack him anymore and once it seemed that the Rike man wasn't going to, he felt his body begin to relax. With relaxation came the pain and Adeodatus grumbled in frustration. However, he was pleased to know he would still be the Mire's noble and it would seem that he had Slaine's approval as well as Alaric's. Which meant that he needed to keep his training up so the next time this happened he wouldn't lose. And he would be ready for Markus. With that being said, Adeodatus would seek out some water to clean his wounds.

Ciara welcomed her mother's gesture, nuzzling her cheek back with joy and giggles. Her dark tail moved behind her with eagerness. Her little paws stretched through the mossy terrain beneath. The mire and its particular plant life had been of great interest and wonder for the young cub, it seemed herbology and medicine might be the girl's aspirations. And these were the earliest signs of her affiliation with these.
"Their efforts will decide which o' them will be our Noble." Her abyss mother had said. She nods and takes her time to watch both males fight, both eager for this rank. She didn't have a particular favored one. She really didn't put too much thought on that, she was here just to enjoy time with her parents and family. Once it was over and settled she followed her parents and siblings back to their den. She felt sleepy, she wanted to have a good nap right now.

And so, another battle had reached its close, with its participants seemingly still in firm possession of their limbs, hides, and arteries.
Always good, that.
With her curiosity more or less sated and no emergencies to be dealt with, Hadiya would take her leave, taking a few moments to enjoy pressing her toes into the sand lining the narrow strip of beach near her den before actually returning to its cozy interior. Or maybe she took more than a few moments, but she got back there eventually. That poultice of hers wasn't exactly going to make itself.
Once returned, the girl would return to the mindless task of grinding different leaves into a powder, occasionally stepping out to throw out more herbs whenever her searching paws ran across them, or to retrieve a bit of water in the hollow of a seashell. So far, so good?
Perhaps she might hunt down Adeodatus and Markus later to try offering the salve for their wounds. The risk of infection wasn't something to be taken lightly.
Or so she'd been told.
