Attention had drawn to the mountains much more commonly of recent times. Feuds brewed between families among those in Amaryllis that he'd not known existed until he and his wife had relocated to the peaks. Either family name was not something he knew much about. What he did know, was that he stood with @Morrigan, as he had at the last attendance to a challenge for the pride land. As he always would.

Both leaders of the peaks were worthy of the positions they stood in, they'd proven as much to him since his time within the pride. Despite not knowing either woman overly personally there was a loyalty there that had developed from the small knit community, one that had grown in numbers over time.

Colorful body showed among the crowd that had grown, taking a position on the side of the established pride's members. A satchel clutched between his jaws, holding various healing tools that might come in handy after the fights had settled down. Something he'd lost during the last challenge, having fought within the fray where he earned the scar just below one eye, rugged and ugly, pink flesh against ink. Even to this day the skin felt much too tight there.

Words were exchanged between members. Various members of Illyria Summit commanded others to fight. Instead of stand to fight he withdrew further, pawing up a rocky outcropping to overlook the on-goings below. Perched above, slit pupils watching coolly for wounds and damages, while also observant for the outcomes of those fights which broke out between lions present.

Astarte had shifted to fave @Aquila, standing, her head low as her lips peels back to reveal fangs, "Or you--" Just as she was speaking and readying to lunge at the large male, her husband stepped infront of her, shielding her from another attack. The Devorre woman smiled internally as he bellowed out the Rikes reasoning, and then Morrigan snarks off and Astarte eyed the woman.

The battle started quickly, just as Morrigan once again have the command and unleashed her hounds upon them, Astarte was ready, the impact still hurt though, when the large female slammed into her, the air caught in her lungs. She attempted to drive her force into the force of @Isla ♔, hoping they would rolla way from her husband, not wanting to distract him or injure him. She felt teeth sink into her shoulder and ba low hiss escaped her as she snaked her head forward, attempting to latch onto the girls scruff with her teeth.

Curiosity beckoned her, bringing her to the Summit- it was her grandmothers's home, after-all. She knew, that witnessing a fight would be a good idea, so she could take the information home to her family- and it was her grandmothers. She wasn't going to miss this.

As she arrived in the Summit, she was quickly overwhelmed with the brewing war. Morrigan was fighting, and so was another Summit lioness. Eisa moved silently, around the group, until she spied @Talisa. Only then, would she move quietly through the crowd, aiming to come up behind her grandmother- breathing her name softly. "I'm here"- a way to let her know who was here, before she'd aim to take a seat just behind her- to watch her other grandmother as she fought for their home.

The day threatened the nocturnal woman, threatened to burn her skin, leave blisters across her body- and yet, when the call came, the peach woman adorned herself in her cloak of fur and rushed out, sticking to the shadows. She would be here to support her pride, to help keep the innocent safe, though she would be ashamed to admit she was late. How could she hold this noble title without being here on time?

The priestess felt anger bubble within her chest when she arrived, standing beneath the broad greenery of a pine tree, hiding from the prickling of the sunlight, two toned eyes gazing upon the hoard to strangers that began to flood their lands. She listened, dark ears pricked forward, as their queen spoke of protecting their lands by any means necessary. She nodded to herself, eyes scanning the crowd for anyone who posed an immediate threat, claws kneading the frozen ground.

The distant call in the mountains had not roused Valerian. He did not know it's purpose, and it had seemed distant. A head raised, cocked to listen had quickly settled back to a foreleg... only for the Oasis king's cry to soon draw him forth. A more important summon, and one the Barony would oblige.

Duitiful, he took after his kin's trail toward the summit. He had not yet been here, and the bitter wind was a harsh change from the warmth of the desert. Valerian supressed a shiver as he padded up amongst the other Savante, an ear cocked toward @Anthonius. He halted by @Angelo with a grunt.

@Dmitri's blessing met his ears and Valerian rumbled a reverent agreement to the tiger's words. Valerian recognised @Riordan easily - though instinctive wariness kept some space between himself and the colossal man. Savante he may be but his scent made Valerian nervous.

He looks on, tense and awaiting command. Soldier he was and always would be.

He had been here before when the Mire had tried to dethrone Morrigan. So, with his wife tucked safely within the borders of their home, he would make the trek to wield his club in defense of the Summit and the Sigrun. How could he even fathom ignoring such a bold call for the Rike?

His blood was already boiling as he made his way toward the source of the challenge. He was already nearly seeing red, the Jarl barely able to contain himself as it was. He couldn't help but seethe. Morrigan was already battling her challenger and his snapped in the direction of Adalwolf's voice as it rose up in an effort to denounce his bloodline with @Aquila nearby.

It was here that he found himself charging at Adalwolf once more. His healing shoulder and forelimb burned at the memory of the wheat devil's claws dug into them not so long ago. The sacred mud Camellia had placed upon it had begun to flake, but his limb did not fail him.

Myrkvi sought to come at his target from behind, aiming to take out the other lion's hips with his weight and momentum, his claws attempting to sink deep into the flesh of Adalwolf's sides just ahead of his haunches. His jaws were open wide in an effort to bite on either side of his spine.

Zoltan is less excited about the idea of bloodshed, but he follows his friend up the snowy mountain, eager for information if not a fight. He is a warrior by trade, by necessity, and he’ll likely die a warrior’s death, but Zoltan would just as happily sit back and watch a pride challenge that does not erupt in all out war.

He doesn’t get that chance today.

The dark-pointed lion arrives a few seconds after @Riordan, catching sight of the blue lion’s kin with the same excitement as he; Zoltan grins broadly, pleased to see other Savante - and he pointedly ignores the way that @Valerian wearily keeps back - which must mean more are around if not here today.

He does not intrude on the reunion, however, and sets to scanning the fights that have already broken out around the main battle to protect Riordan and his kin while they speak. There are others lingering on the edge of the arena not yet engaged in battle -

"Rio," Zoltan breathes when his dual-colored eyes lock on a pelt of ink and sunset, so clearly marking the lion that wears them as enemy. He is perched above, looking down at the fray below, but he is within reach. Zoltan’s chin jerks up, directly at @Archaic. "There."

Enemy.

Of course, Eyvindr would follow after @Talisa. He understood the need to see the outcome of this challenge for themselves. He saw no point in trying to convince her to stay within the heart of their territory to protect her and their unborn, she was going to go anyways. So the colossal medic followed after her, seeking to remain close as @Eskel joined them on Talisa's request.

He occupied his wife's open side, seating himself close enough for their sides to touch. It would not show on his face, but he carried his worry with him even as pride reached his green gaze as he watched Morrigan battle on behalf of his side of the blood feud. He found his piece of comfort in the warmth of Talisa here.

A young voice would ask for her attention and @Eisa would gain the Skagos' as well. Come, sit young one. He would invite the crimson girl to join them in protecting one another.

It had taken him a while to get here as the Cove was far south as the Summit was in the north. But the Gaia lion was always looking to get into other's business and when there was word of his pride's allies marching, he had to follow. Gauthier had placed the Summit as enemies of the Cove and as Lead Fighter, he felt he needed to help keep those politics in check. So to speak. The brute made his way up the Summit to where the challenge was located and several other fights had broken out. Flicking his ears, he recognized several of them as friend and as foe. Making a face, he spied upon them as he picked out the Cove's allies from the ones of the Summit. If the challenger of the Summit would win, could that shift the entire alliance with the Cove? Periwinkle gaze kept rapid views as he readied himself on top of a pair of snow covered rocks. His focus was primarily on the pride challenge battle but he stayed aware of his surroundings.

She watched from her hiding spot as Morrigan came to confront Rainer, she watched her father bellow out his words, and then she put two and two together, she faltered a bit, stumbling in the tree as she did, Morrigan was not just Sigrun allied, her sons were related to them. @Virgil was Sigrun. The falter had caused her leg to slip, she was always so sure footed in the trees but now, she was hanging, trying to pull herself up, trying not to fall from this high up. Fear, hurt, anger, it all burned through her, none at Virgil or his family, she hated where she'd been born, she hated the situation she'd been placed in, a loud snap at the branch she clung to snap caused the girl to give a cry out, body crashing through the pine tree, and before she hit the ground, she was bounced off of a bottom branch, and her face slammed the trunk, knocking her unconscious.
