The Hot Springs was not a normal location for a hunt, but the pink Ranger liked a challenge. Leaving the safety of the Brook early in the morning, Raizel chuffed for any of her fellow pride mates who might want to come along. It was a trek but she finally made it to the Hot Springs and decided to relax for a moment. Pink gaze glanced around for a potential target as she lowered herself to hide among the stones and sparse plants. Keeping her ears pinned down, she dove herself under some of the freshly fallen snow. Trying to make herself not be there but man, it was cold.

they have come in to his land -- their land -- and the beast notices. a clack of beak is enough to draw his focus from the caverns to the springs, heavy paws carrying him towards the strange pink form.

he raced across the tundra, legs flying, muscles burning. it felt good, the air icy in his lungs, and thus he is the first to arrive after the summons went out.

"they trespass, bjorn. they trespass, but ahh, they could aid us. can you smell the prey? i want it; give them strength to bring it down so that i might have its heart." a grin, then, as he slid near to the strange girl.

"we must feast," he rumbled to her, ice eyes boring in to her smaller frame as he stood, the marble sentinel he always was.

Hexa had been hooked on exercise lately. She always ended up somehow testing herself in some way. Especially her muscles and especially in her limbs. Today, she found herself racing through the tundra. Testing herself against the freezing temperatures and snow. It was rather rough on her limbs though, and she was growing tired quickly.

She decided it was not worth it. She didn't want to over-exert herself or injure herself in some way. And so she slowed down, and thankfully she found herself within a rather peculiar place. Suddenly she was surrounded by hot springs, and she found two other lions not too far off. She made sure to scout her surroundings just in case. A very tall man was next to a smaller lioness, and Hexa approached them. She lowered her body as they did, wondering if perhaps they had found some prey not too far off.

With her leg healed Ulva is now testing the limits of her strength. She had been idle for well over a month and the price she paid for healing was showing. She grew tired easily, her muscles aching more quickly. Still, she would not allow the injury to control her.

The tundra is vast. She races across the permafrost, in a space where there is yet little snow, her paws pounding against the ground in a frenzy as she pushes to see just how fast she can go. She feels free when she runs, as if she is really the Hawk, flying through the air and diving after her prey.

But then a scent catches her attention. Strangers on the tundra, and heading towards the hot springs that she loves to relax at. Her ears prick forward and she races towards them, hoping to warn them away before the brothers find them.

She is too late, though. Draven is already there, moving close to a woman. Another woman, brightly colored, is there as well. And then she catches the scent of prey and she slows, approaching them more carefully. They are here for a hunt then? Well, she may as well join them and keep an eye on her real prey in the meantime. She settles in, her white fur blending into the snow as she waits for the hunt to begin, one eye always carefully on Draven.

Occam had thought to settle in the hot springs and relax for a bit. The heat would do good for loosening the muscles. At first he would assume that he wasn't the only one with that thought in mind given the number of others whom had gathered in the area. But then he caught the word feast. Ah, so that is what was going on.

Might as well join in. He could use a feast as well. Feast first and then a relaxing dip in the hot springs to help with digestion. It sounded good to the male.

The invitation to hunt was a welcome sound, drawing the listless lion near. Keen golden eyes scanned the arena with mingled curiosity and doubt. It was a strange place to go for a hunt. Perhaps the leader of the hunt had caught something on the wind that he had yet to catch onto? Quietly he approached the group, taking quick inventory of who was here so far as he took up a spot toward the rear where he would wait until go-time.

@Ulva's leg has been healing nicely, it’s true. but still, faolán worries — worries enough to follow after her as she treks through the landscape. it’s a good way to help herself, too — after the incident at the grotto, she’d been too busy sulking to do much else aside from heal and rest. she needed to get back into things, to get her muscles working again; her pace is slow and measured, careful to keep to the shadows here. she’s used to the tundra, she knows where and how to hide here. practicing stealth is easy, of course, until her steps pause, fluttering, as she realizes that ulva is hunting someone else, too — @Draven. easily her gaze shifts away, stepping closer to her sister as she waits for the hunt to begin.

Oooo. What was this area? There seemed to be a peculiar warmth radiating from the waters here, even though the air was crisp with cold. Oh, how she longed to take a little dip and experience what it would be like for your body to be warm and wet while your nose was nipped by bitter winds. But she had come here following a call for a hunt, and so she'd have to let that curiosity wait for the time being. Settling in toward the middle of the group, she let her lilac gaze sweep across the new faces, offering a smile anytime she caught another's gaze.

The hot springs was an odd place indeed to call for a hunt, but that wouldn't stop the curious feline. Ruger followed the sound of a lion calling out to others to join, and with a soft huff would the lion clear the distance between where he were located to where the call had come from. The thick mist and fog that was created by the warm waters would shift and wrap around him as he neared, red gaze shifting as he watched his surroundings.

The group would come into view soon enough, a couple of them vaguely familiar to the spotted man. Tail flicks behind him as he settles into a crouch, toes flexing and hind legs rocking back and forth slightly as he adjusted himself so that he were ready to spring into action when the time was right.

The last time she had been at the hot springs she had met a rather handsome lion, an encounter that ended with quite the intimate night. But that wasn't what brought Artemisia back here; the thought of being able to soak and relax a bit was what piqued her interest to make the journey here. It was while she were on her way there that the call of a hunt rung out in the foggy air, causing for a brow to rise. Such a peculiar place to hunt in, but the woman wouldn't turn it down.

She'd pad swiftly toward the group, whiskers twitching as droplets from condensation settled upon them. Her lithe form would slink through, eyes shifting between those that were gathered; all quite the abled bodies, perhaps enough to allow Artemisia to simply guide their prey with little effort to its demise.
