It had been some time since he'd spent any extensive time with @Angelo - and as such, it was a shame. Despite being nothing like any of the family, or conforming to their usual antics, he had his own he brought to the table. Of which Alexander enjoyed. The Valentine man helped bring out an easier side to the Savante Patriarch, offering him comfort and relaxation when he'd otherwise be on guard. Always on his best behavior, always acting the perfect prince. A low chuff is sent out to his lover, blue eyes scanning the horizon. The sun was setting, blanketing the Oasis in a cool, gentle breeze and vibrant skies full of color. Heavy paws would carry him over the sand, searching - searching for that hoodlum he adored so much.

Given how many of the Savante were in the Oasis, Alexander could be forgiven for not having the time for Angelo. You could barely walk a few feet without tripping over one of the family members, and Angelo was (generally speaking) responsible for the lot of them. Sure, Teodora was the matriarch, but for the most part Alexander was the one to run things. So, yes, Angelo didn't expect anything in the way of undevoted attention from the man. After all, he also had his wives to worry about and, Angelo suspected, new prospects on the horizon.

Suffice to say, he was quite pleased to hear Alexander's call for him as he was laying under one of the few palm trees in the pride's territory. Still, he was a lazy beast at heart, and while he rolled from his side to his stomach, ears perked as he looked around eagerly for the man, he merely chuffed out his own response and didn't get up to go wandering for him. This was, after all, a lovely enough meeting spot.

In truth, Alexander missed the simple moments between her and @Angelo. Amongst those who took up ranks within his family, the Valentine man had become one of the few he could truly relax around. Not worry and stress about the happenings within the family.

Blue eyes would finally settle upon the abyssal beast, a smile curving his lips at the sight of such lazy candor. Gaze sweeps along the male, a low, rumbling growl of appreciation and affection vibrating his throat and chest. Purring deep in his soul, Alexander would bump his head against Angelo's finally.

The movement was followed up by a languid lick to his cheek. "In such a position, you are easy to ravish." He teases warmly before moving to slide up beside him, lowering to his stomach and brushing his nose beneath the male's chin.

He was found quickly, a relief to him as he treasured every stolen moment with the man. Stolen, in his mind, because he was ever so busy with the running of his family and with his wives. Wherever could Angelo fit in, being unable to bear him children? So he never begrudged the man his lack of attention, though he could be quite petulant and pouty about it in private where it wouldn't bother anyone. Acting like that in front of his beloved was a quick trip to a fight, though, and he didn't want to spend the precious time they had arguing, nor was he willing to risk driving him away.

Maybe I'm just waiting for someone to come along and do just that, he suggested with a rumbling purr, more than happy to return the head bump of greeting and to nuzzle his nose into Alexander's cheek.

The press to his cheek is welcomed and Alexander turns to face @Angelo, letting their noses briefly touch in an affectionate manner before he pulls away with a low, baritone laugh. A paw moves to overlap the merle beasts, toes splaying and mingling their colors creating a unique crisscross of red and blue. Perhaps before the night is out. He teases, offering a wink to his companion. Glancing out, blue eyes take note of the Oasis quietly, enjoying the simplicity of this moment for a time. Finally, the beast turns to look at the Valentine man again before humming thoughtfully, Would you ever consider undergoing the Conversion?

It was nice, having a quiet moment to themselves. With all the fighting that had been happening, and then his face getting fucked up, and then multiple people getting fucked up, and then getting kicked out of the pride, and then coming back to the same pride... Yeah it had been pretty eventful lately.

He accepted the flirtatious promise of fun to come at some point, for the moment settling in to the peace and quiet that was around them.

Alexander finally turned to him, and Angelo raised a brow at him until he heard the question that came. Thought you'd never ask, he commented with a grin. Then, more seriously, because he knew the importance of it and wouldn't dare to be lighthearted (or at least too much so) when it came to the Savante's rituals, he added, It would be an honor. It would, truly. He'd been hoping that one day he would be given the opportunity to become part of the family, and that he had proven himself to them all enough.

The beast lets out a soft chuckle, enjoying the sight of the grin that curved @Angelo's handsome features. Quickly his expression shifted and Alexander couldn't help but feel appreciative toward his acknowledgement to the importance of this question, despite the original light-heartedness. Inhaling deeply, the Savante male would lean forward and press a soft, yet heated kiss against the merle male's lips fleetingly, humming contently as he does so. "I will have it arranged, then." Slowly his thoughts drifted elsewhere and it occurred to him that it made him quite regretful that the two of them could not have children. "Celestia and I, we may...try for children soon. I know that we are unable to have our own, but if you would like, I would love for you to be apart of their lives. You would make a wonderful Father." Alexander pauses, laughing lightly, his chest vibrating from the intensity. "Teaching them how to be slackers, I imagine."

Angelo returned the kiss with great happiness, and while he wouldn't have been opposed to continuing down that particular path, Alexander had further news for him. He couldn't help the twinge of jealousy that Alexander and Celestia could share in such joy that he never truly could, but so sorely wished for. He loved them both, of course, perhaps in ever so slightly different ways, but the both of them indeed. It was a pointless feeling because of that, but he couldn't help it. At least he wouldn't be completely void from their lives. As long as Celestia was okay with it as well, but he presumed Alexander wouldn't make the offer if she wasn't, and he'd always tried to get on well with all the women in the family, particularly those who were tied to his lover.

Oh, I think you'll make a much better father, he replied, setting aside his desire for children of his own, and the dream of Alexander and himself somehow being able to have some. He just hoped things would go well with the pregnancy, as he knew how difficult they could be for Savante women. He would choose to believe that it would be okay. Hey, someone has to, he replied with a chuckle of his own, playfully swatting at Alexander's shoulder. I'd say someone has to teach them how to fight, but I think Teodora has that covered, he continued. I mean, you're no slouch yourself of course, but still. He'd count himself among those ranks, but after losing his fight against Apollinaire he still wasn't entirely certain of himself.

Alexander's heart ached for his lover at the mention of him making a much better father. He knew in his heart, if they could have their own, Angelo would be a wonderful father as well - so far it seemed the Savante had failed on that front more than he had succeeded. A sigh escapes his lips, ears sweeping toward the Valentine beast with keen, warm affection reflecting in his eyes. "Teodora can teach them how to be very scary, I can teach them to fight." Playfully he shudders, as if the idea of his Aunt spooked him.

In a way, it did - she was certainly nothing to underestimate. Alexander's head lowers beneath Angelo's once more, rubbing against the soft underside of his neck, "We will make excellent father's." Adopted or not, even if they could not have their own children. It was then Alexander withdrew, his features growing a bit more serious as he admired the male beside him, "I do not know if I have ever said it, but I love you, Angelo." After all, between men - how often were the words of love shared? Alexander felt a bit flushed even saying them now.

Maua, for the most part, had always kept their eyes on the couples of Amaryllis. They found it joyful to watch small interactions develop into something more substantial - an odd conversation transforming into an admittance of love and devotion. It was one of the reasons why they had transformed an ugly and inhospitable island into something beautiful, attractive and tempting which brought in new life from all directions.

They had seen many interactions since the natives had been flooded by the new-blood that had caused quite the disruption all those years ago. The affection between @Alexander ♔ and @Angelo had caught their attention and the Deity lingers for a moment longer, listening to what they had to say to each other and the admittance of love is what finally brings them out from their hiding place.

They stir with a gust of wind as it whirls through the Oasis. The Deity ponders for a moment whether they should appear or just leave a sign of their presence, curious to understand just how much Alexander and Angelo believed in them. Maua decides, with all the turmoil and uncertainty, to remain hidden. Instead, the gust of wind that travels through the Oasis carries with it a sign of their approval for the couple. As the sand settles from the unexplained movements, a bundle of leaves rest before the couple, adorned with two jewels: one red with hints of white, and the other a deep blue (or was that merle?) mixed with a shimmer of white. Perhaps this was the sign that the couple were looking for, or perhaps they'd interpret it as they so desired.

Maua hung in the reflection of the water for a moment longer, visable only to Alexander and Angelo before disappearing into the gentle waves.
