Okay so maybe picking a fight with a man that was clearly insane so far from home wasn't the best of ideas. Valens wasn't exactly known for his good luck after all. So he wasn't at all impressed when staggering away from the swamp simply wasn't cutting it. The injuries to his armpits and ribs were agonizing and bleeding everywhere. Flayed flesh near important joins simply weren't a match made in heaven.

Either way, Valens hoped his point with that bastard had been made. He regretted only the location of the battle. Hopefully some of his family or a kindly healer would happen upon him, because there was definitely no way he'd be making it all the way home on his own.

At some point the blood loss became too much and the beast collapsed just outside of Aniadar. Front claws painfully pulled at the sweeping grasses of the fields, trying to drag himself on. He refused to stop inside that place - not when the lunatic could be lurking nearby plotting revenge. Another fight wasn't exactly in the cards for Val at the moment.

Whatever. If he came, he came. He needed someone to get his ass going again, or at the very least patch him up and help him cozy up somewhere until he was well enough to trek back to the Oasis. A call was sent up for any kin nearby to head their tails Valens' way. It wasn't so much an urgent call though, didn't wanna scare them too badly. These were just superficial wounds....

The call hits her ears and she feels them flick forward,.perking up, and then she's rising quickly, paws leading her towards the sound before she has time to register where she is going. She knows that sound, that voice, and worry and dread fills her chest, it coils around her heart until she hears the pump of her arteries and blood in hee ears.

Finally arriving, the girl frantically searches for him, and she sees him, collapsed, still, and for a moment she inhales sharply, thinking the worst, "Dad? Dad!" Shes at his side in seconds, paws shaking and.reaching out, but she doesn't touch him, not at first, she hovers above his coat, not sure where she should touch, them she sees the small rise.of.his breath and she.collapses next to him, relieved and crying openly now, "Daddy please,.please wake up daddy.."

The girl looks behind her, around her and opens her jaws, screaming out into the sky, "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!" She would scream until her voice ran raw and she could not speak anymore.

The fields were becoming a favorite location. The flora here was astonishingly plentiful. Not something she could say about the desert. They may live in an Oasis, but the vegetation was still quite limited.

Lilliana moved about the open area, gathering up yarrow and humming a quiet tune. Her little song was cut short by a familiar call followed by screaming. Lilli stood frozen for a moment before shoving what herbs she had into her pack, picking up said pack and darting towards the sounds of distress.

The Medic skid to a stop beside @Valens, eyes taking in @Levana only for a split second. She hadn't seen her sister in weeks but the blood all over the place was far more urgent. What happened??! She demanded, and in an uncharacteristically stern manner. The smell of the Bluffs on her sister was not missed. Had Wolfbron done this? Whoever had done it wasn't around now.

Lilli pulled out a mass of moss, shoving it toward Levana. Put the moss on a deeper wound and apply pressure to stall the bleeding. She instructed as she moved to to the same to another area.

It seemed somewhere along the way, the midnight beast had passed out again, claws still firmly dug into the ground and prepared to pull him forward. Valens woke with a start at his daughter's shouting. Dark ears dove to his mane and a groan passed his lips. Salmon tongue licked at them, finding them dry and crusted with blood.

It's not that bad, szerelmeim. he rasped, his throat dry and head pounding from the hit he took to it in the fight. The warrior aimed to slowly pull himself up to a sit, only to sink back to the grassy earth with a muffled moan and a string of low curses.

You should see the other guy, I tore him up real nicely. a chuckle and a wince. It just had to be the armpits, didn't it? What a weird place to have scars. Alexander and Anthonius would surely tease him for it. That bastard. Anger still boiled under his skin at the thought of the pale monster.

But for now, his hazy consciousness needed to be focused on assuring his children that he was okay. Resting a bit would have him healed and going about as normal in no time! I just need to get back to the Oasis, then I'll take a nap and be fine. Promise.

Levana stayed by her father, nuzzling her head against him, a small whimper coming from her throat as Lilliana joined then, she didn't have time to speak before she was being given herbs and following directions. Her paws press the moss against the deepest wound, hoping it would help stop the bleeding, her green forest eyes searched for her father's, and he is coughing, rasping out words to keep her calm.

"Apa, csitt... ki tette ezt veled apa?" She softly, gaze softened with worry, she looked at her father's face, she watched as the blood was stopping, her paws were flecked with her fathers blood, and she gave a half hearted smile at his words.

"Mondd meg, ki tette ezt, hogy letéphessem a golyóikat" She growled softly, anger bubbling deep in her chest now, how dare this bastard harm her father

Continue to hold that there and the bleeding should stop soon. Moss is good for such things. Then Lilliana was moving away. Earlier she had noticed a certain tree but had passed it up. Now that it could be of great use she went in search of it. Raking her brain on where exactly she had seen it.

She paced around a few times before finally locating her target. Quickly she ran over and began digging her claws into a tree. Ripping off pieces of its bark. And gathering up far more than she needed in this moment. Surely her father would need more later.

White sage bark. She muttered to them both almost absently.It helps with pain and swelling. Take a piece and chew on it slowly. But don't swallow. Lilliana instructed @Valens.
She rummaged around in her makeshift satchel for a mass of webbing and hide strips. She gently stuffed the webbing under the moss before re-covering and slowly binding everything with the strips. Hopefully this would hold until their return home.
Was it one of the Wolfbron monsters? She asked him but her eyes finally lifted to shoot daggers toward @Levana. How dare she abandon their family and be found smelling of the enemy. Had she no shame? No respect for their kin??

Levana does as told, pressing moss to her fathers wound, and then Lili is disappearing, leaving her with her father, "I'm sorry dad, I should have came back when you'd found me." She whispers softly, pressing her forehead against his, when Lili returns levana looks up, watching, learning, she wanted to speak and to tell Lili she'd missed her, that she'd never meant to be away this long, but right now they needed to help their father.

Was it one of the Wolfbron monsters?

Levana's eyes shoot up to look at Lilliana with a questioning gaze, only then seeing the accusator glare being sent her way, daggers directed at her by her own twin, and she feels her lip twitching slightly as she prepared to defend herself. "What are you getting at Lilliana?" Levana growled, she wasn't taking up for the Bluffs so much as for herself, shielding herself from her twins daggers. At this point Levana had no clue what all had happened, she'd went exploring, got lost, found Ryker, was told her family was in the Oasis, headed towards there, got lost in a sandstorm, traveled to the bluffs to heal up, and she'd decided to stay. She didn't have to be stuck up her family's ass twenty four seven, she was always a wandering soul, always wanted to explore, even her father understood her better than her own twin.

All Lilliana's eyes could do was narrow further. What was she getting at? Really?? And she threw back her own growl. You are so much smarter than that, sister. I told you. Told you what The Bluffs did to our family. How one of them maimed more than one of us. Told you what Ryker did. And you have the nerve to smell like them? Like him? What are you thinking? Then her anger is skirting towards @Valens because his lack of response to @Levana's scent is very telling. Did you know? She asks. Her mind reeling and instantly filling with hurt and betrayal that the ones in her family she was closest to would keep such a thing from her. Not saying anything might as well be lying about it.

Levana moved from her father's side, glares thrown at Lili, if perhaps she was defending herself, if she hadn't felt attacked, maybe she would have responded better, but the girl had always been brash, had always been the one to throw up walla when she felt like she was under siege. "I barely got to talk to you, I had just met Ryker, and when the storm hit, he was bringing me to you all." She growled, ears pinned back, voice clipped as she tried holding her emotions in, "I went exploring, I didn't want to be tied down. And when the storm did hit, Ryker took me somewhere to heal and get better."

She wasn't lying, that's how it had been, in honesty Ryker had never given her any reason to distrust him. Her sister's anger turns to their father and Levama steps forward, "Leave him out of this. Atleast he was understanding that I am my own person! He still sees me as a Daughter, not an enemy. Loves me and knows me enough not to throw baseless accusations, maybe you all could learn something."

She looks to her father, her eyes apologetic as she presses her forehead to his skull carefully, "Szeretlek apa, sajnálom." She speaks softly before glaring towards Lilliana, "Én is szeretlek, húgom, remélem, ki tudod oldani a haragodat."

The twin turns away after making sure her father's bleeding had stopped, a shaky breath is taken as she hides her face, not wanting to be seen crying, "I've got to go for now." Her voice cracks as she leaves the scene, tears now freely shedding down her cheeks.

Teodora was not a forgiving woman like most of those in her family. The women amongst the Savante ranks were kind, gentle - predisposed to taking kindly to children. The Matriarch, the Veriemä. The ultimate authority - even that above Alexander - she was not alike to her kin. No, she - who had been betrayed, tortured, taken advantage of and shown the darkness of this world all throughout her life -

She did not have the patience..

Her blood was red hot. Fury incarnate. The scent of Valens is heavy on the air, calling to her like a siren's song. Lips quiver, jowls salivate as the ghoul arrives on the scene, nostrils flaring - temper alive. Ears flick, sweeping forward to hear the tussle between @Lilliana and @Levana. The scent of Wolfbron is heavy upon the girl, the smell of someone foreign, but by the sounds of it is this Ryker beast. Their enemy? The Blood Mother cannot hold back her tongue any longer.

Slipping from the shadows to stand nearby, her fangs flash, "Bolond gyerek, azért vitt el, hogy hasznát vehesse. Azzá lettél, amilyennek ő akart lenni... a pause, letting the words sink in - her single good, crimson eye narrowing dangerously on Levana. "Egy eszköz." She spoke of being tied down? Who held her - Levana had not been a prisoner ever, in her entire life. In fact, the entirety of those who had fought in the war to protect her had made sure of that. And here she stood, a selfish, insubordinate little girl, implying otherwise. A sneer paints itself across the Matriarch, tongue lolling out to slither along her dark lips.

Levana speaks to her sister, causing the hair along her back to raise, words ushering from her lips in a snark, "De mi van a haragommal?" As the girl moves to leave, Teodora actively shifts to stop her - ears flattening against her skull. Head raises, having little to no care that Levana was larger. She could play the victim all she wished, act as if the family neglected her, mistreated her - as if their accusations were not sound. The truth of the matter was, if Levana had been doing her duty, the one to her family, she would not have been alone during the sandstorm, she would not have been whisked away by Ryker.

She would be safe. She would be home and her family would be surrounding her with support.

But she had made her choices. To follow, to trust and blindly put faith in a beast who had been painted their enemy. Ignoring the words of her kin as if they held no weight. When it came down to it, would she trust her sister or that of their enemy? Skin itched with the desire to put this child in her place, teeth clicking together with barely tempered violence. "Addig maradsz, amíg apád meg nem magyarázza."

A command.

An order.

And let her disobey. Let her give the Blood Mother a reason to punish.
