Spring
The rain is slowly peetering out across the lands, though it is still heaviest in the east and lightest in the west. Thankfully, however, the temperature is steadly rising and the sun no longer hides behind the clouds. In celebration of the new season, the vegetation is alive and lush and plants are growing wildly across the valley. Spring is in the air!

She agreed with his statement and Jai gave her a small smile. But just like that, they were back to the rain and @Leila agreeing with him once again. He shrugged, Yea it can get kind of swampy and damp when it constantly rains. Jai wasn't fond of the rain but he had gotten used to it as it kept him cool throughout the day and night and helped if he ever got sunburned. I try not to stay out in it to long if I can help it though. Now that was the truth and when she spoke about coming to see the forest and him giving her the tour himself, he found himself blushing beneath that stark white fur. Sure, it'd be fun. He hadn't been expecting her to want him to be the one to show of the rainforest but that would make sense now that Jai thought about it. Oh, I'm Jai. It's a pleasure to meet you. He grinned at her in a boyish way but in a cute boyish way.

He had the right idea, Leila thought. She nods, internally cringing even at the idea of a swampy, damp place to live. She’d always prefer the dry expanses of the bluffs because of that.
The tigress is much more pleased to hear the agreement to a tour, her ears pricking eagerly. “Great!” she hums with a bob of her striped head. After all the extremely positive words she found herself eager to see what all the fuss was about. Perhaps though, she’d wait until the weather was less… damp.
She felt a little guilty she’d left the introductions this long. As they had talked the sky had grown from deep ink to the distant peek of near-dawn. “You too, Jai.” she said, committing it to memory. Glancing at the distant peek of the sun, she sighed. “I should be getting home. You know your way back?” she was sure he did, but equally she was not about to leave a yearling by himself without confirming that.

A small smile formed on his pale features as she agreed and soon he found himself blinking with the new rays of sunlight. Oh wow. Jai hadn't even realized it had been that long and sure enough, @Leila realized it to. A nod came from his head as he would glance back towards the way he had come from before returning his gaze back to her. I do, thank you for the company hopefully we'll run into each other again. He enjoyed her company more than he realized. Slowly, he turned to go back towards the rain forest before he would stop and look over towards Leila again. Until next time. He grinned at her again before leaving for home.

He knew his way home - Leila was comforted to hear it. Otherwise she’d be worrying about it all the trek home, and that just wouldn’t do. With a content snuffle she dipped her head in farewell. “I hope so too!” was an easy reply from dark lips, turning to blink into the low peeking sun and distant western slopes that were her own to return to.
“Safe travels!” she pipes up over her shoulder as they part, moments before she disappears into the tall grasses. Here, the tigress's striped pelt made merely a quietly-padding shadow, in her element.
