The lower slopes of the bluffs were ideal locations for a hunt. Leila had spent many a morning passing through here, picking up on interesting scent trails. In truth, she set out here today to get her most recent encounter with Dragos from her mind. It had been a few dawns since, but she was still sensitive and tearful at the slightest inconvniences. But now she was hungry, and the cache needed filling for the many that needed feeding in the bluffs.

Leila crept low through shrub and rocky outcrop, on the search for viable scent trails. The tigress was desperate for something, anything to pour her energy into than feeling sorry for herself.

six years, no perks

She knew that form that she saw slinking along below, though it had taken her a bit to notice the tigress considering her small frame and the way she blended in with the scenery. Arcania smiled to herself, making her way down to join the other woman as quietly as she could. She perched above her, looking around to see if there was anything nearby that she might startle away by doing what she was about to. Not seeing anything, she dropped down, attempting to land at the woman's side and lightly grapple around her shoulders with her front legs.

"Caught you," she crooned with a grin that was for once not scheming. She was just having fun, but, of course, her idea of fun was a bit different.

Amara was always pleased when someone called for a hunt. It showed that they wanted the pride to do well, to keep on living and thriving. The star-covered lioness made her way to where the call had come from and spotted a newer member to the pride. A tiger. Not really something she ever thought would be in her pride. She hadn't been properly introduced to her so she made her way toward her but @Arcania ♔ dropped in first. It seemed to be a friendly greeting between the pair but Amara's brow still raised as she watched the pair for a moment before coming closer. Amara. High Sovergin. I thank you for calling a hunt. She gave her a little nod before she looked out over her lands to see what they would be making a meal out of.

one year, no bonus, pride tier five
Now having decided what direction she wanted to go in as far as duties went, information gathering seemed to be something she was rather good at. Able to charismatically play out a conversation and likely gather shreds of information without anyone being aware that it might not be for good intention. Laerra was moseying around the base of the bluffs, rolling in some mud that was left over from a brief bout of rain just the other day. Covering up as much of her body as she possibly could to avoid detection, but mostly just figuring out what worked best for her. Her twin didn't seem to be around to ask if she still smelled a certain way but she was hopeful that she had rolled in it long enough.

Casually seeking out the call for a hunt as she wandered her way there. Mud occasionally dripping off of her but otherwise, she'd caked it on pretty tight. Wolfbron wasn't all that large in change of scenery but she imagined that it would be pretty difficult to hunt if the prey traveled up along the ledges. Some were not so wide and could only hold so many lions from the looks of it, but if they could coordinate just right they could make it work. Whatever this ... what was that? Eyes cast on the small tiger as she realized that something was out of place here.

The giant yearling had been scaling up and down a narrow trail, that curved steeply up the side of one of the sheer rock walls. She was puffing with effort, when the call for a hunt came and she almost ignored it. Hunting was stupid, she wanted to fight but the idea of raking her claws through some prey? That did sound good and it would be good practice for when she was fighting. So Aideen moved towards the sound, and as she neared she scented her sister... whom she moved to join with a bump of her shoudlder into @Laerra if she could- while she waited for the leader... a tiger to get this show on the road.

5 years, no bonus

Helah's arrival to the group wasn't planned, wasn't exactly something she wanted to do but when she came across the group- she slipped into the ranks. Ready to join the hunt, she would make to approach the tiger. "How nice to see you hunting, beautiful." She crooned to @Leila with a grin. "How can I help?" A rare offer of help with no intended strings attached.

No, plan or not, Helah did rather enjoy the hunt and she had nothing else to do now anyways but join them all. Her eyes glanced over the group- nodding to @Amara and @Arcania ♔, and her eyes then narrowed on the pair of yearlings. "Who's the kids?"

Leila was joined by pridemates. The first is @Arcania ♔ who surprised the tigress with antics. Leila, as a rule, was not fond of unexpected touch and the soft paws around her shoulders received a curt, displeased grumble from her throat and a wriggling away. The tigress prized her personal space.

She was distracted by @Amara's arrival. Oh, so this was the high sovereign? Leila gave her what she felt was an appropriate dip of her head. "Of course." she answered - shyly. It was the closest thing to praise she could stomach, in truth.

Next are a pair of yearlings who Leila recognised with a bob of her striped crown. They looked like sisters. Twins? Surely related. It's a relief to see @Helah ♔, becoming a frequent face in the bluffs. She doesn't really know what to do with her charming words, averting her gaze bashfully, but she was keen to accept the help.

But Leila had bigger plans than idle chit-chat. Soon she had picked up a trail and soon the hunt was on. A Gemsbok, with long horns and distinctive black and white markings that made it easy to stalk through the bluffs's rocky terrain, warning caution over a full-on chase where the more-nimble antelope would have favour.

Her patience paid off. The wolfbron group were successful and Leila quickly busied herself organising the carcass. Chunks would need to be taken to the cache so it didn't spoil quickly in the sun. "Well done, everybody." she would offer before taking a torn gemsbok leg up toward the cache cavern. The first of many trips, surely.

Arcania suppressed a chuckle when Leila reacted negatively to her entrance. She didn't really care if she annoyed the other. Though, she supposed she ought to have tried to behave when Amara made her presence known a moment later, no doubt having seen the whole thing. Oh well, she could just deal with it afterwards if she got called out for her bull she supposed.

She glanced at the pair as Helah questioned who they were, discretely of course, and shrugged. If she was being honest, they looked like they could be Miroslovs, but she knew better than to open her mouth and say that in the Bluffs considering the prides had been at war for so long. Besides, she didn't even know if she was right. She just knew they looked a heck of a lot like the family members she'd seen running around, just like she could usually identify a Tollaire.

(And don't think she failed to notice the difference in Leila's reaction to Helah. Because she did.)

Whoever the wonder twins were, they were all successful hunters, which was good considering they weren't going for the easiest of prey. Their success was all that mattered, and here it had worked out for them despite their smaller numbers.

In a flash did her eyes move to @Helah ♔ as she received the who's the kids? Laerra did not have an appropriate response other than a whip of her tail which could've been for any such reason. She would simply leave it to @Aideen if she wanted to snap at her. Laerra instead decided to put her sights elsewhere because she didn't have a moment to lose in preparing herself for the hunt. Gathering the platform that they would all no doubt be hunting out and even letting her gaze trail elsewhere. She did not think that the prey would run itself in that direction for too long but unfortunately, they didn't have a choice sometimes.

There was a vague mark of trees not too far away that the gemsbok could potentially lose them in. Trees that were woven tightly together that could separate the lions from one another, but ultimately she believed they could still get what they came here to receive. Pushing her paw into the dirt and mud just beneath her, she attempted to slather some more onto herself and (unintentionally) throwing a few tiny dirt clods in her sister's direction. While she did so she let her mind become clear and focused until snapped to attention. Gazing over her forelegs and turning her head to gaze as best she could at her shoulders. She was done -- and this beast would be, too.

With everyone present and accounted for, the beast was felled. Leaving Laerra to help heave their collection back to whatever cache was deemed necessary for their findings. Relatively ignoring anyone unless they were giving her clear directions and following closely to her sister's flank. exit laerra
