A call is made, to those within the Oasis - it is a little ways from the inner sanctum of the territory, but Alexander wanted to move to an area where footing would not be so perilous. The pride was growing larger and due to this, he knew they needed more - more to put in the cache and more to go around in general. Especially given so many of his kin were of the...larger variety. They could move out from here once the rest arrived, and by the time they did - the prey would settle down from his call, be less spooked. He had no idea what mingled within the desert, but he supposed this was the time to learn. The Savante settles to sit, awaiting those within the pride to arrive before giving orders.

Laying at his feet was the ever-dedicated Camellia. Her eyes were narrowed against the harsh sun, her jaws lightly parted to aid in exhausting the ever present heat within her body, compliments of summer in the desert. She needed no summoning, for she had followed him from the moment he moved out for the hunt, prowling in his wake. The siblings had honed their hunting strategy since they were cubs; where Alex had his size and raw power, Camellia lent her speed and deftness of paw. Together, the two of them had a long history of successful hunts, and Camellia was happy to be joining her brother that day. She was sure that more of her kin would join as well.

Five years, no perks

Listen, he wasn't big on the whole hunting thing. Not because he couldn't but just because it was so much effort. But, Alexander had called and he would answer. Besides, he needed quite a bit of food to keep himself running, especially since he hadn't been able to eat a whole lot for the past month or so thanks to the little fuck up with his jaw and all. Which was now healed but was still stiff and made his speech sound so stilted, he hated it.

Look, he'd shown up for a hunt. Someone be proud of him.

5 years, no bonus

Valens was hardly half the hunter that his siblings were, but he'd attend all the same. They made up a good portion of the pride, and would need to show the effort to keep everyone fed. Not to mention, since they were actively vying for higher ranks in the Oasis, it would be a good show of not only responsibility, but action toward making the pride ' a part of their family'.

Either way, the dark dappled beast would join. He would do as he was told, and probably enjoy it as well. Anything worth doing was worth doing with the family after all. An additional call toward his daughter (@Lilliana) would be made, just in case she hadn't heard. As when he approached, he'd not scented her among those gathered.

Viggo was tucked safely away in their den, hopefully napping like a good boy. He'd had to promise the spirited child to take him out for a separate hunt later. They'd likely be looking for things far larger than the boy could handle, and the Savante wouldn't risk him getting into harm's way, or distracting one of the others enough for them to get injured.

Padding up to @Angelo on his left side, Valens would aim to bump his shoulder against the blue man's in a friendly manner. "Ready to get your paws dirty?" he'd rumble with a smirk. Probably not.

Oh, Csitri was absolutely thrilled! After her lovely hunt with Leila the tigress, the piebald lady was stoked to show her family members just what she could do. With a pep in her step, she'd trot passed the other kin gathered and sidle up to @Alexander ♔ with a broad grin. "Bet ya we could take down a whole elephant with the lot of us!" she'd chirp excitedly, waggling her brows for good measure.

Meanwhile, her paws kneaded anxiously at the ground. Not because she was nervous, but so ready to begin! This was gonna be a blast. The family hadn't gathered to hunt all together in quite a while. It'd be a good source of bonding and teamwork.

Plus, if things got a little competitive, they'd be able to make some fun come out of all of this. Surely with all the testosterone bouncing around their family tree, that'd be an easy feat to achieve. And Csitri would leave them all slack-jawed at her new-found finesse! It was a fool proof plan.

3 years, no bonus It had been quite a while since she’d hunted with a pride. For as long as she had lived in Vermeda, she couldn’t recall a single time she had ever gone hunting with the rest of them. Her time there had been okay, she supposed, but rather boring and awkwardly quiet at times. Although she wasn’t excited about the possibility of war (was anyone ever?), she was quite happy to be back home at her old stomping grounds. The dunes made her come to life in a way that no mountain or hill or stream or valley ever would and the lioness nearly floated across the sands, drifting towards the gathering of Dragos’ family with a timid smile. “Be mindful of your stamina in the sands. Hunting here is much more difficult than on solid ground, so we’ll need a good strategy for sure.” She glanced to @Alexander ♔ and gave an encouraging nod, happy to fall into the rest of the crowd and await orders. If he was lucky, she might not even critique them.

2 years No perks

She had heard but she had been sluggish in heeding the call. But then a secondary summons from her father had her picking up the pace.

Lilliana trotted in, careful not to waste too much of her energy in this heat. The shifting of the sands made muscles in her legs work overtime and already she could feel a pleaing burn.

Saddling up next to @Valens her head bumped his shoulder but other than that it was far too hot to remain any closer. Mother and I blend in better with the sands. Perhaps she and I can sneak in close to whatever we find? The pied lioness suggested.

The call for hunters would take him further than normal from the Oasis, but he would not complain, it was good to take out game farther from the pride, to push them in for later huntings and to not completely push them out of one area. Dragging whatever it was back…that would be a different story, he doubted anyone would be happy about that trek. He was curious to know who would show up though, who would answer Alexander’s quiet call? As he approached, the King was not surprised to find that the majority, if not all, were a Savante. He would smirk as he nodded to them all, listening to the tail end of one lioness making note of their pelts blending in better.

He would look amongst them, wondering if any others had ideas. He had his own methods, but this hunt, he would let them figure it out without his input. He didn’t want to influence their decisions, though he doubted it was his opinion that would matter. Mismatched gaze would fall to Alexander, brow raising slightly.

three years, pride tier zero
After joining, Zelda had done a lot of snoozing. However, she would hastily point out to anyone that came asking of what she was doing and made a clever show of hastening herself to changing that whenever someone was nearby. Whether that was pretending like she was studying a plant or a particular color of sand, or even the trees that grew around them. And she was very clever about it; that was why she studied certain things so that the information that she gave was never poppycock.

So after lazing around on one of the warmest rocks she could find, her dreams drifting her in and out of a hunt on the savannah. Not one that she was partaking in, but some random figure of a male that was gallivanting like he was Prince Charming himself. Almost didn't look like a hunt, really, but she could see the prey in front of him running while the prince just slow motion ran. Only at the sound of a beckoning call was she woken from her busy daydream.

Perhaps that was why she was dreaming of a hunt, that was what they were calling for. With a loose weave of her shoulders in an exasperated sigh did she hoist herself up and begin wandering towards the gathering. A few were present but none that she was familiar with aside from the High Sovereign himself. Keeping her distance polite yet astutely far, she waited.

Returning to pride life led him to one thing he did like about such a life- hunting. Eskel loved hunting. If he wasn't so good at scouting and spying, he would spend all his time hunting, and in fact enjoyed spending all his free time doing so. With the call for a hunt, he rose from the small place he had been resting and made his way across the territory towards the sound. Nearing, he finally got a better look at a portion of the pride. It was a decent sized group, he noted as he approached- and his eyes traveled over the others gathered, noting them, but remaining silent- waiting to see who would take charge and lead the hunt and to see what kind of leader they were.
