The tall soft grasses gently blew in the evening breeze, bring with it the sweet, tempting scent of prey. Eisa walked along the narrow path, her nose high in the air as she moved- trying to figure out where exactly the scent was coming from. As the breeze rustled her fur, the strange black furs that were coming in at her neck- like a mane moved in the wind. She finally came to a halt, as a 'y' sort of intersection of paths.

Taking in a deep breath, she breathed out slowly- and turned towards the right, where the scent seemed to be strongest, and the tracks seemed to lead that way. So she crouched, as the scent grew stronger and kept on moving as quietly as possible.

it's like blood to a vampire

This is not where he prefers to be, but Harou is a beast of wanderlust, and staying in one place never suited him. Despite the tundra on his fur and the winter on his breath, he descends upon the glades with a silent, stalking prowess, ready to take blood, ready to lead. First, he will scout the lands, seeking any sign of life, and life comes in the form of a lone yearling. Harou is an avid hunter, and much a loner, but sometimes he'll entertain engaging strangers if it promised a bloody feast.

Tall grasses sway to the rhythmic cadence of a slow, unfurling breeze, rustling his thick, wild hair as it cascades against his skull in waves. His muscles shudder with both hunger and anticipation.

Twilight had brought to the grove the promise of prey, a potential the scout was unwilling to ignore. He had been tracking the divots of said quarry in the earth when the languid breeze brought to him a more alarming scent—that of foreigners, and ones who skirted along the edges of his home. A frown pulled his expression as his silver gaze lifted to the horizon, his limbs carrying the Alacine scout in their direction, until his pursuing eyes landed upon both forms of the hunters. It was then that their intention grew more evident; the scent of their shared quarry was stronger here, their marks in the earth multiplied, the body language of the strangers implied. The Grove was safe from their curiosities, it seemed. In a moment, Falcon made his decision and sidled up to join their hunt, dark mitts aligning him in a trifecta – allowing the smaller maroon lioness the head, taking his cue from the large merle lion.

3 years, no bonus

The fields are soon becoming an escape for the tigress. She found she needed the peace of the open plain to shake herself loose from tumultuous thoughts. There is the scent of prey - of opportunity - on the air and the woman instinctually followed with low gait and pricked ears. Filtering from the dense grasses, brown eyes settled on the two strangers and a more familiar red-pelted form. But they were too close to the trail for pleasantries and so Leila offers @Eisa a bob of her striped head - and the other two larger lions (for everyone was bigger than Leila and her tiny stature) a wary stare.

But hesitation did not keep her from duty and the tigress shifted into position, ready for the signal to go.

1 year, no bonus

Hunting is as good an excuse as any to explore, and so with leave, the girl darts from the swamp to learn the trails and scout out paths to herds and the like. Her excuse is hunting, and so she intends to return with something to show her effort to the Mire leaders. Still, her wandering is aimless until a scent catches her attention - downwind, the smell of others do as well. A hunting party. Daphne adjusts her course, sticking to the shadows, until she finds a band of others - and… a tiger? That is odd, but she can’t voice her confusion currently. Instead, she looks to the one that seems to be leading this hunt, silently joining them.

3 years, no perks

The tall grasses swished and hissed around him as he stepped through them with a ghostly presence. He couldn't see them, but the breeze that blew between the tall grasses told him others were here - including @Harou ♔. As he broke through the tall barriers and joined the others, he paused, lifting his nose to the air to scent the ungulates nearby.

What a delicious smell...

Of course, there was a discomfort that stirred within him. His secret was that he preferred a different kind of meat... but until that could be obtained, this would do. The bloodier, the better.

Dagr lowered himself to the ground, listening to those around him, waiting for the signal to move, to kill.

What an interesting assortment of faces... lions and tigers, oh my. The silver one with red eyes and a permanent snarl, that one she supposed could passes as a bear. She offers no greeting, swamp-green eyes flicking from beast to beast, but her posture does not invite conflict. She's calm, collected, ears pricked up to listen for the slightest hint of a signal from the de-facto party leader.

However, though she tries to be be aloof, especially in times like this, her eyes keep fluttering back to the tiger of the group. The shadow-striped fur had caught her attention and though lions hunting were old news, watching a tiger hunt was certainly not something Vansen saw every day. How interesting...

This time, luck had brought them a giraffe. Eisa was a bit daunted by the large animal, the height of it making all of the lions look like cubs in comparison. Yet, she was determined to lead the hunt- to make it successful.

Unfortunately, the giraffe was stronger and faster than she had thought, and when the giant creature managed to escape them- running off across the Glad, she finally slowed to a walk and sighed loudly. Disappointment was obvious on her face, as she hung her head and shook herself.

With her tail trailing behind her, she turned to face the group and muttered. "Well, that sucked."

Failure, a sting to the pride of the great titan. They had been unsuccessful this time. And yet it had been a giraffe of all creatures, a willing foe to the leonine kind. There would be no blood spilled today, no feast nor red bath to saturate his fur and fill his stomach. Harou is pissed, livid, wrathful, but outwardly, he is an avalanche; icy and cold. His blood-red gaze catches the sight of his brother @Dagr, and Harou will acknowledge Dagr's presence with a low, rumbling noise, before Harou makes his exit into the darkness of the shadows. There, he will continue to scout the terrain, perhaps engage in a solitary hunt by himself.
