"You should," Ghyslaine agreed, rather flippantly. Though, she figured if she were really a prisoner... would @Tiamat both to have her wounds treated? She kinda thought that this really was a bad attempt to make friends.

The subject of her children, well, Tiamat could at least say the right things, things that easily quelled her rage. The older lioness spoke, that she didn't think that kids should be pawns, and there seemed to be a lingering... but there. Yet, Ghys ignored that. "Cubs are innocent of their parents and families wrong-doings." She said simply. She shook her head, at Tiamat's words. "I don't intend my children to be prejudiced against anyone." She said simply. She simply wanted out of that constant drama. "Unlike some in this land, I don't see the point in keeping on old feuds." She said softly. No, Ghyslaine had forgiven even those who she'd fought before- being everyone's friend was a good place to be but also... exhausting.

"I was there.. I remember all of that." She paused. "That was a fiasco." She admitted, though she'd stayed out of it- just watching. @Calypso was nice, and as she offered herbs- Ghyslaine ate them without hesitation- trusting the female. She nodded, listening seriously to her instructions, before thanking her warmly. "Thank you." A small kind smile, and then her attention was back to Tiamat.

"You need not worry about me interfering in your conflicts with Alizabeth." She confirmed. "I'll do my best to keep Nero out of it," A small promise. (the best she can do since timelines and tense marriage are a thing now.) "If I have anything to say about it, it won't be my children joining in on the 'anti-tiamat-ruling-the-lagoon club." A small smile.

"I'm trying to get out of the drama, actually. It's exhausting and quite frankly constant in this land." She said simply. "Tell Ronin I said hi." A small chuckle, as she considered her friend ruling. She'd have to go visit him soon, for sure.

Tiamat chuckled again. @Ghyslaine ♔ was brave to stand up to the queen who had taken her 'prisoner'. But, well, the prisoner status was really more of a situational formality at this point. Tiamat hardly planned to have Ghyslaine staying here long-term, considering she was prepared to arrange for the woman to be reunited with her husband and children as soon as possible. Ghyslaine clearly had a fire burning in her, and Tiamat liked that about the woman.

"I certainly with Alizabeth saw things the way you do," she answered when Ghyslaine had finished her talk about children and feuds. "But she's threatened to kill me by now, and I doubt she would drop this even if I backed off. She had one of her men maim me already." Thank god she had found that healer on the beach when she had escaped that particular challenge. "I've no doubt she's taught her children to hate me as well." Assuming she wasn't still missing, of course. And, well, at least one of those children had been seriously injured by the Mire heir, which suited Tiamat just fine.

Calypso took her leave and Tiamat nodded her thanks to the woman as she left. No doubt the healer found the entire exchange strange, but Tiamat was thankful she didn't stop to listen in or question too much. She'd be happy to answer future questions, of course, if the healer became curious.

"Nero doesn't seem a bad sort," she offered by way of an attempted peace offering between them. "I knew him when he was...a yearling? I think. He was there when Alizabeth and I first failed at getting along, when Saga ruled the Lagoon." That seemed so long ago, really, and yet it had colored all of her interactions in Amaryllis since then. She'd simply wanted to share her skills as a warrior with those within the pride. "I was a warrior, new here, and wanted to share my skills and work with my pridemates to improve ourselves," she explained. Another olive branch to this woman she was quickly growing to like. "Alizabeth...well, for like of a better term she was an absolute bitch of a sovereign at the time who believed herself better than everyone else." She'd insulted Tiamat's and Shiva's experiences, rude to the point that several other members of the pride dogpiled her in their frustration. If not for Saga turning up to put an end to things they would have put her in her place quite quickly.

Tiamat had, of course, done all she could to make it clear that Alizabeth was the bad guy in the situation, going to great lengths to make a show of giving control over to her for the gathering. It had been an amusing game at the time. Alizabeth's words would have been worthy of a much harsher response in Tiamat's homeland.

"Well," she said, shifting her weight a little. "I'll see about getting you reunited with those children of yours," she said lightly. Ghyslaine had given her a lot of information, and her initial plans to use the woman to get to Alizabeth were clearly out the door. Besides...Tiamat would be lying if she said she didn't want an end to this damn conflict. It was a waste of time. What she really wanted was what she had now - the Lagoon and a crown, as she might have been able to have in her homeland.

"You rest," she commanded the woman, straightening up and stretching her legs. "I'll go get Ronin to either come get you or have Nero come and fetch you. I think Nero is with the Summit, but I wasn't close enough to catch his scent at that meeting. He was sitting with them, though." Either way, she wasn't going to enemy territory when she'd been held against her will before. "Despite current circumstances," she said with a cheeky grin and a sparkle in her eye, "you're welcome as a guest in the Lagoon any time, once we get you home."

And she meant it, too. She liked Ghyslaine and the spirit inside of her. She seemed a good sort, and Tiamat could find value in that. She gave her 'prisoner' a final nod before trotting for the border, intent on heading straight to Ronin to get things sorted immediately.
