Beñat did not know that he was being followed by Papa, that Tripfire did put some trust in him but not in others and refused to take his eyes off his children. A grin was plastered on his maw while the older cub led his two younger siblings on their first outing outside of the bluffs. Though he couldn't go too far, he could only lead them to the grove, which was closest to the bluffs. They were still too little to make the journey to the jungle, but Beñat was confident if he called loud enough he could attract Nazonel and Asteria to him here. "Kay, you guys stay here, I gotta climb up and call for them ok?" he instructed his siblings, more importantly Mars, who seemed to be in a constant state of bubbling rage. Unless you gave him enough attention. Climbing a nearby tree in the thicket, he chuffed and called for @Nazonal , @Asteria, @Spider, @Aphid, and @Beetle to come say hello to their new family members. Because to Beñat they were all one big family, and that included any siblings he gained from his parents! "speech"

Mars wasn't really angry all the time, it just appeared that way cause he was always loud about how he did things. But when Beni said they were going exploring nearby without mama and papa, oh well he was raring to go! He reassured Venus with a nudge while he pranced after Beñat grabbing and chewing his brothers tail tuft while they walked. While they entered the thicket Mars was grinning widely, this would be the perfect time to slink away and go exploring on his own! But as if Beñat was reading his thoughts he was told to stay put, and a huff left his chest leaning against the tree his brother was perched on. A glare sent upwards he started calling too, but it was more a loud chirping sound, heh he could do that too!

ooc: ** means French speaking, too lazy to translate. Had Beñat worn him down? Yes, and no. Tripfire saw the good in letting his cubs explore outside of the Bluffs, but being an overprotective father meant it came with conditions. To stay nearby so they were within earshot of the pride, or that was what he had told Beñat. He didn't reveal that he would be following them out of the territory. So when he saw Beñat leading the group, Tripfire waited a few minutes before he rose to follow them. Keeping a good distance that they wouldn't hear him or see him, he followed them carefully. Before they arrived in the thicket, Tripfire had paused to chuff and call for Asteria and Nazonal, knowing his calls would travel much farther than Beñat's! Resuming his walk, the red hued lion shifted beneath the foilage to watch Beñat climb a tree and call for his aunties. A smile curling on his maw watching Mars try to imitate his brother, oh yeah, he was getting payback in excess with Mars being so alike himself. Tripfire is hiding nearby

Someone called for them, another youthful voice that she recognized vaguely but couldn't conjure a face offhand. Charcoal legs pumped to take her that direction, moving to see who it was that called she and her siblings to them. It would be nice to have playmates!

Curious enough she only found a cub on the ground, but she felt as though the initial call had come from higher, like Mango could go. Hiya! Naivety remained blatant as she approached the other cubs, eager to make new friends. If she had noticed @Beñat within the tree then she'd have recognized him. I'm Spider. I live here. Do you live here? The bright red cub (@Mars) wasn't someone she'd seen around the jungle but that didn't mean much with the jungle being so big.

Mars was pricking the wood with his tiny claws glaring jealously up at Beñat. Suddenly when his brother fell quiet he called out to him, "When I king... you be... *guard!" The French rolled easily off his tongue while he found it hard to find the right English word. It was hard enough learning to talk, but to do so in two languages!? Mars was sneering, though. He was trying to see if Beñat got angry, pushing his buttons, so to speak. Maybe that's why he didn't hear Spider approach...

'Hiya!' the voice called making Mars jump up straight with a yowl of fright. Purple eyes widened, then narrowed in dislike. He didn't like being caught unaware. Then she was babbling, and Mars, being the young cub he was, managed to blurt out loudly for Beñat. "BENI! BIG SPIDER!" He wailed, moving to hide behind the tree trunk. All thoughts of being a brave king had been scared right out.

ooc; --- Beñat had heard a lion calling on the borders of the thicket but paid it little mind, he could play the role of bait well enough for his siblings to hide. Speaking of... Mars was trying to goad him into becoming jealous and angry, something that was hard to in Beñat. Especially family. "**Mars, by the time you become king, I will be a old man," he spoke with smooth French, it made him sound far more mature and older than he was when he spoke it. Making a point to keep his eyes forward to ignore further goading, he didn't hear or see Spider until he heard a bizarre wail leave his brother. Shit! Turning sharply, he felt his claws grip the bark, expecting to see a big tarantula or something. Then, seeing @Spider instead, he felt himself relax laughing. Moving to leap down in front of her, he moved to try and embrace her into a half hug. "Spider! It's been forever!", he said, still chuckling at the way Mars had cowered so quickly. "speech"

When Beñat had first came up with the idea, it had taken her brothers poking and prodding and begging her to go with them, but finally she agreed, the timid little cub cast a glance back to her parents and trailed after the excited pair. Her eyes took in as much as they could and soon, the anxiety left her chest, and she felt free. She giggled as Beñat and Mars went back and forth, and watched her eldest brother climb up a large tree, her eyes open wide in awe. It wasn't until a new voice interrupted them, sending Mars flying back to a hiding spot, that she was thrown back into her usual self, except this time, with Mars yelping and running off scared, she lowered her head and took a stance, ready to protect her twin however was possible.

The little child gave a warning growl, which sounded more like a furby purring than it did a lion, but she was at least giving it her best. Beñat made his way down the tree and enveloped the other lion in a hug, causing Venus to watch in confusion, but no less as protective as she was.

Of course where @Spider was @Asteria was never far behind. Things were changing -- subtle, for now, but changing all the same -- and she moved a little more carefully through the jungle. They left the comfort of home and headed further west, towards the forest that she loved just as dearly. More, if she was honest, but Secondstone was home and so it trumped all else. The summons had surprised her, but she had not wasted time in answering it. @Beñat was the one she had expected to see, so it hardly came as a surprise that he rushed to greet Spider. There were others present and so Asteria hung back, encouraging her children forward (assuming @Beetle and @Aphid had followed, knowing darn well that @Dozy would be napping) with a gentle smile.

The ebony girl is a little late to the party, bounding after @Asteria with no lack of enthusiasm; but having been ensnared by the curiosity that was life in general, had fallen vaguely behind. Regardless, the girl arrives upon a gathering of cubs - none of whom she seems to know - and sidles up alongside her sister, @Spider.

"Don't worry, she's way more boring than a real spider," an innocent beam to the group of younger cubs, namely little @Mars who had lurched back in apparent fear. "Come on," she urges the red boy, maned head tilting in a friendly smile, "Come see her." As though she were a random side-show attraction.

On second though this wasn't the jungle but a different forest. She realized this as soon as @Beñat jumped down from above. Alabaster paws jumped, her small mop of hair flopping into one eye as she shrieked. Beñat is that you? Silver eyes grew wide, shocked from her wonderland. Arms wrapped around her, which she was grateful for after the sudden shock of Beñat's appearance.

Thankful @Asteria wasn't far behind so that she could retreat, hiding partially behind her mother. Pale eyes glared over at @Aphid as she approached. Most spiders were harmless anyway! Careful to peer out at the other children present, @Mars and @Venus, there was no motivation to come out from behind the protection of the larger charcoal form. Who are all these cubs? Seemed like Beñat had found a posse. Hope they were friendly remained high though she refused to leave the safety net of Asteria's legs.
