@Violarum had asked her to be his Queen a little while back. Caught up in the hurt and the anger, she had let the question slide -- ignored his request thanks to her undying stubbornness.

Fallon is also much too proud to ask for the role and thus, the Lorien Noble does the only thing that makes any sense. She reaches the familiar clearing within Lorien and releases low chuffs to anyone who might be home, announcing her intention to challenge and fight for the title of Sovereign.

Steadying herself on her paws, the lithe figurine awaits for anyone to approach. She would hope that there are others that aim just as high as she did. If not, perhaps it would be the first time that she would spar against her husband (beyond the wrestling that they would partake in in their private time). Impatiently she waits, readied and eager.

The call was a rather interestin' one to the dun man. It was a challenge for the seat next to Violarum - Sovereign. Now Lucien never seen himself at the ambitious and go-getter type, but when life begins to feel a little stagnant he knew he had to throw somethin' fun into the mix. And what more than answerin' the challenge could scratch that itch for him? Sure, the thought of rulin' did appeal to him and it was somethin' that he thought about several times before, but aside from Lorien he didn't really have any interest on livin' in any other prides, meaning he had no desire to challenge for them.

With a good shake of his stygian mane and a hearty stretch to loosen up his muscles, Lucien would begin his way toward the clearin' that Fallon had called from. Her scent would hit his nostrils before his eyes spotted her, and as he neared he would release his own chuff of greetin'. "Now I hope you don't take offensive," he would begin as he padded directly head-on to her. "I just need to see if I have the gumption to have what it takes to go for a crown." Comin' to a halt several feet away would his body instinctively set its defenses, his tail tip flickin' at his hocks while his claws unsheathed and gripped into the soft grass beneath him. He would allow for her to make the first move, for she were the one that called the challenge so Lucien only saw it for her to begin it.

Even if he did win that didn't mean Violarum had to give him the empty seat. This was his wife, after all.

Violarum had every intention of seeking out @Lucien. Before Ghyslaine had left, she had spoken many a good thing about the dun-striped male. True, Violarum was well aware of his scent along the borders and his attendance at group hunts. Still, he hadn't truly expected... this.

With Lorien a haven for friends, the King never had any intention of handing Sovereign to the highest bidder. It was a rank reserved for his queen, and if not her, somebody he wanted there. And yet, Violarum is nothing if not simple and appreciative of battle. If Lucien were to fight and win, he'd have earnt it.

With a toe-dragging stride the burly male arrived upon the challenge with a chuff, always keen to see @Fallon at her best, and sought to flop lazily down nearby to observe; crimson gaze skimming between the unlikely duo. _code

The Siguen had been into her duties, mostly self imposed ones. She never wanted for someone to tell her. She was to give the first step always. She was back from walking around the pride, making sure everything was well, caches well taken care off, a clean meeting place. Marked borders and anything else she though needed some checks.

After most of it was done, she felt like having some rest. She wasn't that old but past injuries made it a bit harder to move as good as she used to.

Then a call, a challenging call rang across the plains. Curious she approached to find Fallon being the one to claim the place to rude beside Violarum. And then a male she had seen in passing but not well enough.

Quiet she took seat on her own spot, wanting to observe.

Much to her surprise (and delight), there is someone that comes to meet her challenge. She has seen @Lucien around but has not had the opportunity to meet him in person. From what she understands, he was recruited by Ghyslaine during the midst of their daughter's disappearance.

Ears prick as he speaks in interesting intonations, an accent that the Salem woman has not heard before. "No offense taken," she replies simply, her expression determined but not unkind, blatantly sizing up her opponent, "let's test our gumption." The fact that he had turned up was enough to warrant some respect.

From the corner of her eyes, Fallon can see that @Violarum and @Ragna have arrived to spectate. Of all of her concerns, she does not wish to let down her husband -- eager to show off her prowess and not lose yet another battle in front of him.

"Ladies first!" the lithe figurine declares before she makes her first move. She charges in as she normally does, attempting to ram her bony left shoulder square into her opponent's chest. Simultaneously, her right forelimb lifts and with claws unsheathed, they aim to rake down the length of the male's ribs.

the call lures her like a siren song, delivering notes forlorn with its vie for restored power. it is a summons that serves to intrigue and perplex in equal parts, for olive were under the assumption that @Fallon had resumed her place upon the lorien throne with the return of her husband. evidently not, and as she saunters to the challenge epicenter, so incites the flutter of butterfly wings against her stomach lining. uncertainty a claim upon her psyche with a newfound dilemma: should she?

relief is a sweet sigh against summer air with the realization that she is late – as per usual. a smirk unfolding across her countenance as her gaze combs the expected, beautiful form of the former queen, and that of her opponent: @Lucien, a challenger she had not anticipated. how curious, and the quirk of a single brow conveys of her interest as she bounds up upon her king’s flank with little grace. “looks like you may have a new queen, yet,” is the roguish comment she spares @Violarum, gesturing to the cowboy with lifted toes. but olive does not truly doubt fallon’s prowess, and her gaze fixes upon the ringleaders as the dance commences, reclining neatly beside her friend._{BG — CODE — art}

She had just been leaving the pridelands when the call rang out. Anniston perked up owlishly, pressing her lips into a taut line as she considered the implications of it. Oh, her mother was to be a queen again! Though Violarum's reign was enough to secure their cubs as royalty, there was something so grand about having a queen for a mother. Her heart skipped with excitement as she pivoted around, trotting like a quail across the grassy plains with quick steps in pursuit of the stylish spectacle. The tall blades rustled with each swaggered movement, hissing to warn of her arrival before she was even visible.

Her stomach fell. Anniston, finally within view of her Lorien subjects, was mourn to find her doting mother charging into one of the other adults of the pride. Well, she considered, he hardly looked like a queen! His pelt was dusty brown like dirt, his eyes a ghoulish yellow, and his mannerisms entirely unrefined. She narrowed her own gaze, battling the way her stomach churned with displeasure as she longed to wish him away from the scene. She blinked, hoping that perhaps it would be enough to bring forth the grand image of palm fronds and bowing servants she had imagined. She blinked again, but they did not appear.

Resigned to this, Anniston turned her attention stubbornly toward the few other lions decorating the brawl as an audience. She might have been glad to see Olive's familiar smallness there if she were not pressed up so closely against another – another, who should also reserve his attentions for her. Twitching her whiskers, she approached the pair by attempting to dive and wriggle between the two of them, running her coat of purplish wine across theirs of sienna and umber.

"Um, I need some personal space," she remarked in a devilish hush, her eyes gleaming like laughter with satisfaction at her own mischief.

As like Fallon, Lucien also notes the arrival of the Plains King as well as another member, giving them a quick nod to show that he acknowledged their presence. But when the ashen woman before him quipped would it bring his attention solely back onto her, his body tensing and instincts taking over to allow for his defenses to slip into place. Lucien watches as she barrels toward him, and with bent knees and unsheathed claws gripping tightly into the ground to help stabilize him, he would allow for her left shoulder to make connect squarely into his chest. It would hard enough to cause for him to stutter a step backward and release the air from his lungs, only letting out a chortle of soft laughter after he sucked in a breath. To win some fights you had to make some sacrifices to ones own body, and the bruising he knew would come from the throbbing he was feeling upon his chest would continue to remind him for several days to come.

With the step back would Fallon's claws tear into his left shoulder blade instead of near his ribs, causing for him to let out a hiss at the sting. His own right forelimb would raise itself and strike toward her, attempting to smack the left side of her neck as well as hook his claws into the skin, and while he did this would his jaws snap toward her right front leg, attempting to gain a hold on it and try to keep her balance hindered.

Almost as soon as she throws herself in the lurch, Fallon immediately begins to feel her stomach flip. It is a nauseating feeling that overwhelms her and causes her feet to stumble from beneath her, as if she was not where she thought she would be. The Salem woman feels herself fall -- @Lucien's claws pricking at her cheek and his teeth felt on her front right leg as she tumbles head first.

She knows this feeling -- the one where she feels the need to empty her stomach's contents. She has only ever felt such a sensation during her first pregnancy with her first litter and it dawn on Fallon that this may very well be the first signs of a second. "Stop," she asks of the golden male, hoping that he would have the common sense to detach himself from her. Or he may very well risk being puked on.
