Spring had been a welcome thing for her, as she wandered through the fields. The flowers and herbs were slowly opening for fresh growth, their floral and fragrant scent strong as they grew further and further. She had rolled in some of the fresh herbs, as she tracked the tracks through the grasses- her nose low to the earth as she followed the scent of prey.

It is only when she draws nearer, that she comes to a halt, that she lets out a soft chuff- alerting anyone nearby that prey is present- and perhaps they could have a hunting party if they wished.

2 years, no perks

she was starving. the cove wasn't the first place one could find fresh meat to hunt, unless they were lucky enough to encounter a lost beast in their midst. whatever hunt they had were stored in the cache, but diantha's taste leaned more towards a newly killed type that she hunted down.

the fallen princess thus made her way out of her prideland and into the neutral lands. the chances of catching bigger, meatier prey was abundant here, and with the addition of a hunting party, she may be able to gorge herself with delicacies the cove have yet to take down.

there was enough hiding spots amongst celosia for diantha to find her perch, settling low in the grass blades. her eyes narrowed as they took in the sight before her, keen to watch for a sign of prey movement.

1 year, no perks

The lanky yearling found herself in the fields quite a bit because it wasn't super far from the Brook. When she had scented the prey, she had set to work on tracking it- following the cloven hoof prints along a trail, as she scented it- taking in all the strange scents. The hooves of whatever animal had made this had bigger paws... hooves? than she did! She paused in her tracking, placing a paw near the track to compare the size- her eyes widening as she studied it.

Shaking her head, she follows the tracks, until she nearly stumbles onto another pair of lionesses, and immediately drops into a crouch- because they looked serious! Like they were hunting. She moved up beside them, willing to be a distraction, or a runner though she knew she still lacked the strength to take anything huge down yet- that didn't mean she couldn't help!

1 year, no bonus

The arrival of spring has proven exceptionally advantageous to the prince, considering his budding interest in the various flowers and herbs popping up all over the place. Or rather, his budding interest in the uses that the flora might offer him. Not all of them pleasant.

He's poking around a towering plant with vibrant crimson petals, carefully shifting the blossoms around with a claw to examine it, when the quiet call for a hunt perks his ears. Curious. Is it something the prince should bother himself with? It certainly sounds more exciting, if nothing else.

He rolls himself quickly through another patch of nearby flowers (which he's fairly certain aren't poisonous), and then lightly trots toward the sound, crouching to try to better hide his dark form within the grasses. He remains as silent as he can as he approaches, tail tip twitching in anticipation behind. Waiting for the signal that is sure to come.

Hunger, yearning. A desire for blood, for flesh. It draws the beastly leviathan forward as he feels the warmth of congregating bodies packed among the fields. The scent of prey lingers upon the atmosphere and Harou follows it, obsessively. His jaws taste the wind, a delicious cocktail of potential flavour against his tongue; the promise of a feast, goading him with hungry, predatory thrill. Wordlessly he slips by, a dark raven-kissed shadow; a sentinel, a fiend. He looks at their faces. Oh, he could eat anyone. Anything. But for now, he feels like a gentleman, as a toothy sneer gathers against the sable lines of his jaws.

Hunting, fighting. That's how he spends his time now. He avoids everyone, anyone; expect for moments like these. Perhaps, that is how he feels most like himself; when there is blood in his mouth and his veins are pumped full of adrenaline. Anything to distract him from the pain that still ached in his chest. Quielty, the hulking mass of the lean, rugged soldier draws forward to join them. He greets them wordlessly, wearily, with cold, unfeeling eyes and a soft scowl carved into his disheveled countenance.

The pepto pink lioness hadn't gone on a larger animal hunt since the mammoth was taken down. She had mostly focused on smaller prey that she could take down herself but Raizel was getting tired of having the same thing. The Ranger wanted some variety and felt her stomach gurgle at the thought of having something new. Flicking her tail nub behind her, she found a place where the rain had made a nice mud puddle. Gliding her body downwards, the pink lioness covered herself in the sticky mud until she turned brown. Only her matching colored eyes showed the true color of her pelt. As she finished up, there was the sound of a chuff. Barely detectable, which meant that prey was nearby.

No need to panic! A stampede would not be an ideal situation and so she kept her body low to the ground as she crawled forward. Picking up the scents of several others in the area, she ventured towards the one who called for the hunt. Awaiting the signal to cast forward, her claws extended out as they readied themselves to launch her body forwards.

Though she smelled strongly of herbs, so strongly- it seemed the bongo hadn't noted her- she noted the arrival of others. The group grew until there were seven of them to take down the animal. Ansella, rather liked those odds. As they moved, and the beast was killed- she waited patiently for those who had joined her to get their fair share of the meat, before she would move to take some of what was left back to the pride- and eat some of it for herself- to keep her own strength up, before heading back. A successful day, over all.

Her muscles quivered where she remained crouched, and waiting until a signal was given, apparently because everyone began moving. Eisa lunged into the action- doing what she could to chase the Bongo into others paws, doing what she could to participate, and learn from them. When the beast finally crumpled, she waited, and then would move forward to take a chunk of the meat with a triumphant smile. She was excited to take it home- to show her parents, and siblings- and tell them about her hunt! Anything she could contribute to the Brook was good, and anything that made her a better hunter was considered a success!

As she went home, she would make sure to pause by the hoof tracks, and study them again, compared to her own- so she maybe could remember the size and style to perhaps know what kind of hooved animal they belonged to?
