On the tenth day, he was in better spirits.

Wins and losses aside, he felt that he was making decent progress in regaining his former perfection. The wounds he had would heal in time, and he would come out stronger than he had ever been. He felt it when he flexed his muscles and sharpened his claw. This is what he had been waiting for and now, he would not stop. He came into the pit early in the morning, feeling confident and quickly picked out his opponent for the day, wondering briefly if his adoring fans missed him.

When he saw a younger lioness of abyss fur and pink eyes, he smiled, having found his latest opponent. You girl, he called to her, Let us do combat! Why else would she have been here?

She were exploring like she usually did, wanting to find new areas or new useful things in territories. It was what brought Leilani here today, or else she really wouldn't be bothering with these lands at all. She'd heard the calls for fights that came from the pit, and although battle did pique her curiosity she knew it was best to just steer clear until she was more properly trained. But the sense of adventure was too much for her, and as she padded along one of the well worn paths would she allow for her pink gaze to observe her surroundings. She took note of the way the pit seemed to be encapsulated, as well as several shredded trees and boulders that shown the claw marks of many lions wanting to keep their claws nice and sharp. As she neared would she inspect it more, a brow rising as she then lifted a front paw, claws unsheathing, only to drag them down the boulder herself. It were a weird feeling, one she wasn't sure she liked, but she could see the usefulness in this action.

The call of an unknown lion caught her attention as her paw hit the ground, skull whipping in the direction he were at. Did she really hear him correctly? He wanted to fight her? "I think you're mistaken," Leilani would call out hesitantly, brows now furrowing to show her puzzlement. "I'm not much of an opponent." Or hardly even considered to be one, either. She'd never fought, never really thought much of it, but now she were silently kicking herself in the rump because now she felt as though she had no choice other than to fight; he looked like he could outrun her.

The first time he had run into a lioness who did not seem to understand the purpose of the pit, he had been kind, letting her finish what she was doing before he engaged her. This time around, he was feeling far, far less kind. In spite of his wounds, he was not interested in taking the easy way out. It would be far too simply to simply call it quits and give his body time to heal. But that, he felt, was for the weak, and he was anything but.

I will be the judge of that, he hissed, flattening his ears and unsheathing his claws.

He would charge forward, uncaring of their difference in size, putting the full of his strength into running towards her. As he drew neared, he would crouch down, attempting to pounce of her with arms splayed open, hoping he would be able to grapple her.

Leilani would watch in sheer fear as he hissed and charged toward her. Every fiber of her being begged for her to run as fast as she could, to at least try to escape this man. But she knew it would be all for nothing, and as he sprang forward to grab her would she find herself trying to move backward in an attempt to miss his limbs. As she moved would a back paw trip over loose stones, causing for her to instead fall backward onto her back.

She would let out a yowl, terror in her eyes as the lion's grip found its way around her neck before she fell backward. It would be here that instinct would seem to take over and kick in, and before she knew it Leilani's back legs were tucking themselves close to her belly before they kicked outward in an attempt to rabbit kick his own underbelly with claws unsheathed. Her front paws would swing wildly above her and toward him, attempting to slash and cut whatever her claws could touch - if they touched anything at all.

The fear in her face was exciting, though he had always found such things fascinating. It meant he had more control than fate though him to have. He caused her to fear and that made him powerful. But little made him feel more powerful than getting a grip around her neck as she fell backward.

He shouldn't have really, but he was proud of this small victory, which lasted just about as long as it took her to kick his underbelly — claws unsheathed — and force a wheeze from his lips.

Her flailing claws caught the inside of his forelegs, close to his armpit and it was uncomfortable enough for him to release her and climb off, but in that same instance he raised a paw, attempting to slam it into her face before she had a chance to get up.

Feeling her hind paws make contact with his underbelly made Leilani feel like she were doing something right, and the feeling only heightened when she felt her claws dig into his flesh around both of his armpits. It was enough to make the man release the hold he had around her neck, the abyss woman thankful that the hold was short lived. But him moving away only to strike back toward her didn't give Leilani enough time to scramble to her feet.

His paw would hit the right side of her face, causing for the left side to be smushed toward the ground as her head turned from the force. Should could feel his claws gripping into her cheek, and with a desperate cry would her bring her right front paw to swing over toward him, attempting to rake her claws down the leg that was attached to the paw that held down her face. While she did this would she also try to wiggle her body to her right, attempting to create some space between them so that she would be able to get back onto all fours.

He is a bit late to the fun, and for that a frown draws to his dark face.

By the time his colossal frame emerges, Lachesis is already in combat with another individual. Aeistrios moves off to the side, nearing a spot he could settle down at and watch from a distance. Bodice lowers to the hard terrain, limbs spreading out as he yawns briefly. The sun begins to warm at his pelt, and his attention focuses in on Lachesis and his opponent. He ponders on what the outcome of the fight would be- and he hopes the brute would have a chance to shine in the light.

Was there much fun in attacking lionesses that did possess the same bloodthirstiness he expected of lions here? No particularly, but even he could not pass up the temptation that was a potentially easy victory. And, if nothing else, it gave him practice for the real threats out there. He was pleased his paw caught the right side of her face, just as intended and her cry made him smile. He couldn't help it, really. It excited him.

But why shouldn't it when it made him feel alive? Stronger?

His arrogance cost him, however, as her claws raked down the very same leg that held her face to the ground. He yowled feeling the burn of the claws cutting his skin. When he felt her wiggling he pulled back, allowing her the mercy of getting up.

Let it not be said he could not be kind.

His yowl and feeling of her claws slicing through skin was all she needed to know that she had indeed hit her intended target. And as her limb began to wiggle with the rest of her body would the man release his hold upon her and taking a step back. Leilani would wheeze and scramble to her paws, her eyes wide as they stared over at him. "Do you feel powerful, beating up a small woman?" Her words would be spoken in a hiss, a sudden flood of confidence and defiance surging through her. It would cause for Leilani to charge the small distance between them, attempting to slam her right shoulder into his left. She was quite smaller than the lion and she knew that this attempt most likely wouldn't do much, but she had to do something to try to redeem herself.
