The young Mire prince had taken it upon himself to look for something to chew on that will take away the nuisance that was becoming this pain. In the aftermath of his run-in with that bitch at the Lookout he'd acquired a few wounds, most not too deep or fatal, but one, in particular, was bothering him immensely. It was across his left shoulder; a few claw marks were left over by his opponent.

Luther knew that if he goes to ask one of the Ecrosian healers he'd most likely get it patched up, but he was too proud to bother. It'll heal on its own, right? Irritated with the constant throbbing, he lashes out at a small plant that proved to be not what he'd been looking for. Damn it. He should've pushed that roach off the goddamn cliff! If there was one thing he regretted, it was not slitting her throat on the spot.

Iofiel was out hoping to find a things of last minute growth. Besides, he had been told of things that grew within the damp places and that was why he found himself within the bog. But it would also seem that he wasn't exactly alone out here. But then the pale medic never really expected to be alone wherever he might go. There always seemed to be so many lions out and about all of the time.

"Those don't seem as it they are doing that great." Deep, yet quiet voice, spoke out. Crimson gaze was focused solely upon the angry wounds upon the male's shoulder. "Whomever has been tending to them for you needs to do a better job." The large lion was worried that it might have the onset of infection in it.

It didn't help that when Luther moved to strike a plant in his anger, his injuries (and the smaller ones, too) began to ache anew. The sudden jolt of pain that crawled through his body was infuriating, and at this point, he was like a cat with an electric leash that buzzed every time he did something bad.

And Luther was not a very well-behaved house cat, let's just put it that way.

Gritting his teeth, he was about to continue down the Bog's shrubbery until a deeper voice caught him unaware. Turning around, the princeling stood face-to-face with a soft-colored man, much larger and much older than himself. @Iofiel's expression was practically unreadable, which made the man's words sound only like a jab than an offer of help. "Nobody has tended them," he murmurs with a shrug that only makes his teeth grit together. "Why, do you know how to?" Maybe Luther was in luck today.

It was a shame that no one had saw fit to do anything about the teen's wounds. Did he have no one that cared? Or perhaps his pride didn't have a proper healer. At least Iofiel was assuming that was a pride scent that clung to the pelt of the much younger male.

"I do. Sadly I have not brought anything with me. Certainly something could be found here though." And with that the pale medic began to search the area for a proper wound dressing. He had already come here to hunt plants in the first place. This gave him further excuse to test his knowledge. Plus he just hated to see anyone suffering.

"How long has it been like that?" Hopefully he had caught it before infection had begun to set in. "We also need to search for clean water as well." Can't exactly clean it with muddy water if trying to stave off infection.

Ecrosia certainly had some capable healers, but Luther was too prideful to go to any of them. Perhaps it was his young ego, or maybe his wish to look tough in everybody else's eyes, but he didn't want to run to the healers like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs. That's why he ended up in a much more complicated situation. It was a learning lesson, really.

I do, @Iofiel confirms. Perfect. He should take advantage of this man who was a complete stranger. He couldn't possibly know who Luther was, which was ideal for the arrogant princeling. When the man began to look for herbs, Luther put on his best behavior and joined the palomino lion. "What are we looking for?" He inquired so he could help the Andal lion.

How long has it been... that's a good question. The yearling shrugged, which immediately made his hair stand on edge. "A few days, I think." Maybe. He'd lost track of how long it's been since the war. "There's a stream nearby where we can go after we find the herbs." He'd passed it on his way.

What were they looking for? His typical array of go to plants weren't here. Instead he had to find something else to use. What was it that grew out in this area? He didn't have an answer readily available like he would if he were in the desert. There also wasn't the wild sunflower that would be found in the plains.

And then it came to him. "A white flower. Doesn't really look like a flower. It looks... odd. Instead of actual flat petals it has these spikes instead." The medic struggled to describe just what he was looking for. He was more the sort to show rather than tell. But he couldn't exactly show off the flower until he had found it first.

"A few days and no one has looked at it?" This information caused the normally stoic male to frown. That really wasn't a good thing. "Are you from this area?" The large lion queried once the younger male had made it known there was a proper water source nearby.

A moment of silence settled between them after Luther's inquiry, and he could see the cogs turn in the older man's mind through his expression. He listened intently of the description, subtly amused by the way the gruff and almost robotic way the Andal man spoke. It was almost like he was new to conversing. "White flower. Spikes." The Princeling repeated in understanding with a curt nod, his cold dull eyes scanning the flora around them, moving along a small path, following the medic's lead. He didn't wonder why the lion chose to help him - only that he could take advantage. If he was that great of a healer then he better show it.

Iofiel seemed displeased to learn that nobody has looked at his wound. "Yes. I thought it'd heal on its own, it's not a big deal after all." He confidently spoke as if Iofiel didn't know much better than the yearling royal. "No, I'm from Ecrosia." He didn't add further information, only what he was ready to part with. His scent was probably giving him away anyway.

If Iofiel had somehow known the teen's rank then the other male would have been given even less conversation than was being applied now. One such as the pale medic had no right to speak to one such as the prince of Ecrosia. Iofiel had been raised to be highly respectful.

"It could. The wound itself is not the troubling matter. It is infection that needs to be worried about, especially in the sort on environment. Infection causes more death than the wounds themselves." Which is why Iofiel could not just stand about and leave it untreated.

And then the flower was spotted. "Here. White weed." The flower was carefully dug up from the ground so that the roots wouldn't be damaged. The Medic always tried to take the whole plant whenever he could. It was the flowers, fruits, leaves, or roots to typically be used. Besides, Iofiel wasn't the sort to waste either.

A few more of these flowers were dug up and gathered together in a small pile. "Show me where this stream is located?"

Death. The idea that he could very well die because of infection was new to him. Clearly, Luther had not been taught first aid. Why would he? He was a Prince, a Heir. His lessons covered many topics, but medicine was not one of them.

If he sees that brat that attacked him again... Oh, the horrors he would inflict upon him! "Lucky that you'd found me, then." The edges of his dark lips pull in a fond smile - a perfectly crafted mask.

He almost feels giddy at this chance to rip and tear into somebody so weak as the ex-Scilla Prince. For once, somebody was deserving of Luther's cruelty.

So caught up in his own dark plots of revenge, the alabaster yearling forgets to pay attention to the vast plants around them. Only @Iofiel's voice brings him back to the present, and he glanced in the direction of a small plant as the medic made his way towards it. Well, here's too attentive eyes. Luther was glad that Iofiel had found it so that the princeling wouldn't have to look any further. Honestly, looking for plants was annoying. "Ah, thought I'd spotted something white." He lies nonchalantly, before turning to lead the older man towards the stream. "This way."

After a small trek towards the southern part of the Bog, Luther approached a bubbling stream of water that made its way through the thick foliage and moss-covered rocks. He glanced back at the desert native, reclining back to sit by the edge of the water, awaiting treatment and instructions.

Luckily enough Iofiel was constantly vigilant when it came to plants. Especially since the desert was quite lacking in vegetation. And maybe he did dig up a few more plants than he would actually need to use. These were to be transported back to the Oasis with him so that they could be dried and stored for further use.

Gathering up the mouth full of flowers did the pale male seek to follow the youth towards the source of water. The stream wasn't nearly as large as the Medic would like but it would do. The sand cat placed the healing plants down upon the bank of the stream. He reached out with a paw to scoop up some water just to let it flow straight back off again. The male was checking to see how clear the water was. Dirty water simply wouldn't suit his purpose.

"First I will need to clean the wound before I can apply anything." It was unspoken instruction for the younger male to get the wound closer to the water so that it can be tended to.
