Prompt: A Generuk drinks peacefully from one of Vermedad's many water sources. A bit too careless with it's surroundings.
Results Will Be Rolled On: September the 8th

the male really enjoyed the brook and the plentiful prey that the pride seemed overwhelmed with at times. sometimes the prey was a challenge, and sometimes, it was stupid- so when he spies the generuk, he also finds himself some brush- and lays down against the earth. earlier, in the morning, he had rolled in some mud- okay, rolled was a generous term, but that sounded better than fell so he knew his scent should be well masked- not giving him up to the foolish creature. and so, eskel would wait in silence, to see who would possibly come forth to help take down the beast.

Though usually a loud clumsy beast, Bronx had smelled fresh prey enter the brook. And not one to miss a opportunity he would move as silently as he could. In fact the only noise he made was before he entered the area of their target. It was at the den of his nephew Castus, asking him to join. Castus would instead curl tighter pretending to sleep. The boy ate from the caches but he didn't actively participate in the kills. and Bronx was worried that if he ended up in a pride not surrounded by family, how long that would last him.

A shrug of his shoulders and he moved to enter some underbrush carefully. Emerald eyes narrowing on their target while he waited. They needed someone more... lithe for this. He was no longer a nice skinny youth, he had filled out in the last couple years and was anything but.

Caligula did what he could to help out. He knew that he wasn't the best at most things but that didn't stop him from trying. He tried to remain to be someone that could be counted on to be there. He wished to remain a known presence in the pride, even if he was getting up there in age.

The male made his way out with the thought to walk the borders at least. But then the scent of prey distracted him. "Always have to be in the water." He muttered to himself as he stopped a distance off. Yeah, he wasn't about to get any closer. It wasn't the prey he was worried about but the brook itself.

6 years, no bonus

Revna slips through the shadows, catching the scent of prey in the wind and deternind to help fill the prides stores. She is quick to join the others who are gathering, slipping up beside a male she doesn't recognize (Caligula) who is mumbling something about the water."Don't like the water?" she asks quietly eith a soft chuckle, not really expecting an answer as they all prepare to join in the hunt.

The prey is easy today, and probably doesn't require too many lions to participate. But the more there are the more coordinated they can be, and the more likely it is that they will be successful.

Gareth had been running the borders often enough that it was mostly just for the benefit of himself sometimes. At least, to the excessive amount that he did it. If anything he was doing it on the basis of protecting the pride but it also kept him and his very busy mind occupied. Running the borders forced him to think in the present more than in the past as well as kept him from worrying about the future.

Back and forth along the perimeter did he jog through his own trail in the dirt as he kept his eyes focused on the outside. Any passing blur out there would easily be met by bright blue eyes and a flash of teeth. Those beings who might keep to the shadows would find nothing but a fight in case. Constantly pushing himself forward and stretching his muscles out until he needed to rest them but only for a few minutes before he'd start up again at a full sprint.

It was only the call to a hunt that led him astray as he took a break from his constant border-wanders to venture closer to the gathered members. Eyeing each of those that he passed until settling in. Hunting never was an easy task for him but if it meant being helpful, he would do it.

She was apparently late to the party, it would seem, as she approached the source of the prey-scent that tempted her forward. The Brook was growing ever-larger these days, what with her children and new members alike. Flicking an ear as she approached, the Sovereign let out a soft chuff of greeting to the rest of the hunting party that surrounded their quarry.

It was but a single Generuk. With as many lions that were already here, this should be an easy hunt. She recognized everyone here - though some she was less familiar with than others. She aimed to meet @Revna's gaze for a moment and give her a soft smile before pulling up alongside her uncle @Gareth. "Ready for a hunt?" She asked, looking towards him as she spoke before moving her attention back towards the quarry, ready to follow Eskel's lead since he initially called the hunting party together.

Another hunt would be on the agenda today. She caught the scent while out patrolling the borders, ensuring that no would be trespassers were lingering around. Ever since the encounter with the lioness Cassandra and Aquila intercepted Valkravn had been on high alert, not wanting a repeat of what happened before. Whereas they lost hold of many other places in Amaryllis, the Brook was for the natives and she would fight until her last breath to ensure it stayed that way.

Her nose would begin to guide her, following the scent at a steady jog. She moved over fallen trees and around thick brush, keeping an eye out for any movement of potential meals. Soon enough would she be led to the long necked gazelle surrounded by several pride mates. Valkravn would bring herself low to the ground then, waiting and ready to spring into aciton.

2 years, no perks

There was a call for a hunt, and aside from brooding over his new duties as the Sigrun's Jarl, he wasn't doing anything productive. He wanted to do something productive, and at the sound of the hunting chuffs, he jumped to his feet and trotted towards the area.

He had believed strongly that he would be a great match for the Sigrun Jarl, but passed that? He hadn't put much thought into it. He knew he wanted to get them back into Vellen's good graces, and as a priest, he had an idea of how to do that... however, beyond that? The Rike threat? Their allies? Other threats that might've loomed in the shadows of their future? That he was unsure of.

He found the group by the brook, and noticed his mother among the bodies there. She hadn't really spoken to him since the meeting, and this was going on a few months now. Though, with Dhaveira's belly swollen with the blessing of children, he could understand that her attention was elsewhere at the moment.

"Vellen, gefðu okkur styrk og skjótleika til að taka niður verðuga bráð þessa veiði," he murmured as he settled into a seating position, waiting for someone to begin calling the shots. It wasn't his place to.

Six years, no perks

As per usual, there were far more of them than were needed for a hunt of this nature, but she was sure her presence there wouldn't hurt either. So she came to join those gathering to corner the generuk that had wandered into the pride.

"There be enough here ye don't have to get too close," she said softly to Caligula, coming to stand beside him. The brook wasn't very deep, but she knew he disliked water of all kinds. She didn't know why, but it didn't seem prudent to ask. As she'd said, though, he likely wouldn't have to worry about it much.
