December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

The coal cloaked warrior sat at the edge of the freeze where it overlooked icy plains. Icy winds still seemed to cling to the destruction in the distance but the summer breezes had finally broken their hold over the rest of the north. Thankful for the thick coats most of her allies and family in the Brook shared as she was, they had done nothing when the water sources froze solid. Morrigan had beaten her paws bloody on the icy for weeks now, trying to make sure those who couldn’t simply travel south had something to sustain them. It seemed that perhaps mercy was finally now upon them. At least this time. @Maia

The ashen lioness could not remember a time when she had been this far east to Ilere's Freeze. It was cold and bitter, the wind harsh on the untrained skin and the snow biting at soft paws. Maia was not used to the grating conditions, but there was something about the cold air filling her lungs that was exhilarating. It was evident that there had been some heavy and strong blizzards that had traumatized the land, but Maia was thankful these had subsided.

Her small frame waded through the thick blanket of snow that had settled. It was hard work, but she was determined enough to continue, especially when her eyes fell on the distant figure of @Morrigan. Maia vaguely recognizes the dark figure, and makes her way forward to sit beside the woman, announcing her presence with a few chuffs prior.

Hello, She comments, looking to the woman and then out to the icy plains that seemed eerily quiet.

She isn’t alone for long, which was probably for the best as if left with her thoughts too long they might turn dark again. Saga’s death had not been forgotten. Her murder. Those thoughts and those of her might spent with Magnus were only just held at bay when the figure of @Maia appeared. Morrigan recognized her at once as an ally, but could not remember if she’d ever caught her name. “How fares the Hollows now that things are calming? I don’t think we’ve properly met. Morrigan Greyflood.” Judging by the mask and the way she defended Roan she assume the woman was family of his at least.

Maia quietly takes a seat and happily wraps her tail neatly around her grey paws. Ablaze eyes look to @Morrigan as she speaks, and Maia initially nods. Things seem calmer, for sure. I've just recently celebrated my children's first birthday. She comments with a gentle smile, a feeling of pride beginning to flourish in her chest. It's good to finally meet you, Morrigan. I believe our paths have crossed in the past. I'm Maia, Maia Tolkien-Casales. She remarks, before looking out to the icy plains in that lay in front of them.

Have you been impacted much by the weather we've been experiencing over these last few months? Maia asks, then, as a gust of wind picks up and sweeps some snow up off the ground and travels some distance before settling again.

Morrigan would shift her brawny frame slightly as @Maia settled down more comfortable on the ice and snow next to her, trying to use her larger build to shield the smaller woman a bit from the wind. "Congratulations," she replied to the news of children growing well and healthy into their early adulthood. "I've recently become a grandmother, myself," she said with incredulity in her voice, wondering how the time passed to quickly from her own first litter. "It's good to meet you properly." Maia asked how Morrigan had been affected by the rampage the natural world seemed to be going on and she was content to answer, "It could have been worse, certainly. Mostly just sore paws from breaking up the ice in the Brook and keeping the children warm." Really it wasn't anything Morrigan wasn't used to from her own childhood in the distant harsh land she'd been born in, it was only a shame her own children had to experience the same thing even within the shelter of a sanctuary pride.

There was no doubt in Maia's mind that the wind was much harsher out here in the east than it was inland. She was used to living underground, where the wind was still and the light scarce. It was exhilarating, really, having the opportunity to really feel the brash wind against her fur. Eyes turn back to @Morrigan as she speaks about her grandchildren, and there is a warm smile on the Tolkien's features despite the harsh weather that surrounded them. That is such great news, congratulations. I cannot imagine what it is like to be a Grandmother - I never thought I'd be a mother myself. She remarks with a flick of her ear.

Conversation turned back to the weather and Maia nodded. Pretty much the same over in the Hollows, just keeping the children safe and away from the crevices that have formed. I did have a really successful hunt the other week though, it looks as though herds are returning which could signal the end of what seems to be the worst we've seen yet.

It had been so long ago it was almost a shock to Morrigan to once again imagine herself without children at all, "Neither did I, and now I have many," she chuckled fondly. But she had been happy to oblige her wife in wanting a hoard of offspring, not knowing she was already working on adding more the bunch as they spoke. Crevices? @Maia told of what had happened in the Hollows, a glimpse of which Morrigan had seen only on the outskirts of the territory, but the idea that it might have been all throughout the actual caverns was a wild thought. "That sounds worse than frozen water. A shame the ambitious can't wait until the world puts itself back in order to do greed's bidding," she said, referring to the challenge thwarted by Roan. "That's good to hear. I was never much of a hunter myself, but that is one of the perks of living in the Brook. But I'm afraid your use of yet there might be key. Makes you wonder what comes next," she said looking from the fire-eyed woman out to the expanse of snow.

Maia smiled at @Morrigan's success. Perhaps we should hold a gathering, an event as such, between Obsidian and Vermeda. It would be good for the children - and grandchildren - to interact and meet each other. Especially now things are beginning to settle. Maia remarks with a twitch of her ear.

She shrugged. It depends on what you're used to, I suppose. Obsidian has always had loose crooks and crannies, so the crevices aren't too worrisome. It's more when the earth shakes happen, when the rocks and slate fall. Maia comments, thankful that she had managed to remain safe so far. The topic turns to the recent increase in challenges, and she shakes her head. You're right. It all seems to be from the same prides too, which makes me wonder what sort of rulers are heading them if so many are challenging. She was, however, thankful that Roan had remained the High Sovereign of Obsidian. Though truth be told, I do miss the Mire. Perhaps I'll challenge Alaric for his crown once all this... weather shenanigans calms down. Up until now, Maia had kept her cards quite close to her chest, but perhaps reveals her ambitions to Morrigan would do more good than harm.

She nodded. Yes, though I fear the last of the weather is to come. I'm quite the hunter, but I worry the herds will continue to migrate. Hopefully they will settle, soon, though. Maia falls silent then, and too looks out to the expanse of snow in front of them.

(This post was last modified: 07-30-2022, 04:26 PM by Morrigan.)
Morrigan returned her smile as she spoke of an event between the Brook and the Hollow. She couldn't help but reminisce on the days when Magnus had ruled there and they'd done the very same then, something which had eventually resulted in the grandchildren she had just spoken of. "The Hollow was my first home. I lived there most of the time Magnus ruled. I'm glad to hear the Obsidians are still as resolute. I'd be glad to have us all together again outside of a challenge." That territory would always have a fond place in her heart, though she did not think she could give up the north again, now that she called it home.

Morrigan's interest was obvious as @Maia continued to speak, agreeing with everything she had said apart from any fondness for the swamp. It was the opposite of what the northern barbarian would have called invited, but each to their own she supposed. "If you do, the Brook will be there to support you, of that I have no doubt. My daughter is a bit young for her ambitions, but it was her who challenged Alaric last time." But Maia was older, more experienced. Morrigan hoped it would play out the same way Avaneira's challenge had. The small woman beating down the big man.

"Whatever comes, we have all survived it so far. I suppose there must be a price for living in what in otherwise a paradise." Morrigan hadn't given any thought to leaving at least, not once. Come what may she would just continue to endure until either the gods or the war killed her, she supposed.

Maia was surprised to learn that Obsidian was @Morrigan's first home - but at the information, the Tolkien smiled. I can't say I have ever met Magnus personally, but I have heard of him. Most of my time within Amaryllis has been within the Mire or Obsidian. But I did briefly live in Andal, where Jafar and I met. She recalled, casting her mind back to the days when things were much less complicated. Part of her wondered what had made Jafar so attracted to her when she had been such a mess herself. But alas: she had found comfort and security in her now husband, and she could not ask for anything more.

I'll speak with Roan and Aquila, see if we can organize something. Maia confirms with a curt nod, and her mind began to wonder as to what they could do. Perhaps a nice meal with some party games. But her mind was brought back to the present with Morrigan's words of support. Thank you. I was there, at the challenge that seemed to turn into turmoil. She was certainly brave to go for such a feat, and perhaps one day her confidence will be rewarded. You certainly have a future Queen in your daughter. Maia praises before continuing. I do worry about the consequences, though. I can't shake off the feeling that the Mire is my home, even though it's muddy and humid and not the most welcoming. It was where Jafar and I married, where the children were born... It seems only right to be ruling there. These thoughts she had not spoken to Jafar, for worry what he might think. But she knew that her husband would support her endeavours: through thick, and thin, right?

Maia nodded. You're right. Amaryllis seems to be throwing it all at us, but we seem to come together through it all. I do wonder what else is in store for us though, and what other weather phenomenons will come.
