But as someone that was gifted to the land by the stange consuming mist months ago she found this passage intriguing. She had no memories of crossing it, of what was on the other side of it. It was an unsettling feeling as she approached, the land thinned, and she realized this was the only physical way she could have traveled here... And it was utterly foreign to her.

Though he walked with purpose. It was a purpose that came to an end when another walked up and greeted him. Blood jewels locked onto the females form, drinking her in like a cool class of wine. Oh, but Adeodatus was a man who would drink something so much stronger than wine if it was given to him. If the sun was not shining against them, perhaps Adeodatus would not have noticed her with her dark fur and dark markings. Her paws of ash seemed to be kissed by black fire and it intrigued him to a degree which caused a gleam to spark in his blood jewels. Not even hesitating, Adeodatus would begin to circle around her before stopping before her, Why hello frumos (pretty), come to show me around town? He would question, his voice deep and rumbling to the ears. Red jewels peeking out from behind nearly white bangs.

Oh. She looked entirely unamused his way. No. And oh she regretted this now. He was one of those kinds. She did not thrive receiving such a response and like a kick in her gut she wanted to leave. Evidently no she was not meant to do anything helpful for the pride she called home. Every time she got that stupid idea and played that stupid game she won a stupid prize. Her features frowned as her teal eyes wandered along after him, following his path as far as her neck could turn and then snapping around to the other side to continue her gaze on him. Her bare bald lips recoiled into a faint snarl. No games. She silently warned as he stopped before her.

I'm here to bolster my pride's numbers and ranks. She explained but, tentatively, stopped just short of actually extending the invitation to him in any clear way.

He could see that she was unamused by his nature and Adeodatus didn't give a shit. It intrigued him to know that she wasn't like the other females he had ran into before now. All of the females he ran into on the trip here were nothing but weak women who fell to the ground when he walked by because he intimidated them, they found him attractive or well; they were scared. Was intimidation and scared of the same thing? He wasn't sure. Did he care if it was or wasn't? No, not at all. So, instead the demon would sit down and watch her through nearly white bangs. Oh, well do tell me about this pride. Perhaps he could go and join it or whatever. Perhaps if he was in a pride, no one would suspect that he was here to destroy it all.

There are others, one in the desert for instance. Strong lions, willing to fight. She had enough disdain growing for this strange that, if he was going to be headed somewhere, she'd almost prefer steering him away from his own home and into the den of the her pride's enemies.

Granted, Adeodatus wasn't the type to keep himself on prissy and clean but he wasn't a huge fan of the swamps either. But regardless, Adeodatus stayed quiet and would listen to her speak about her leader. Loyal to loyal lions. Interesting, but what caught him was the fact that there were lions that were willing to stand behind their bark just as much as heal you as well. And the idea of going there just to join and gain strength and a possible ally was intriguing. But then she mentioned another and he was curious, So you're recruiting for both prides?

Her shoulders shrugged lightly. You'll find out about them all eventually. She dismissed the idea of recruiting for prides other than the Mire. No, just tactically planting the alternative if she was unsuccessful here or got the heebe jeebes enough to chase him off. Unless you're the sort to just sit around and exist that is. She continued, giving him a little narrowed eye glance and tilt of her greenish head to one side analytically. You don't strike me as that sort though. And she dared him to say she was wrong in this assessment.

Hm, interesting. Ears twisted on top of his head as Adeodatus watched the woman before him. Breathing in her scent and taking in the pride she bore on her pelt, a mental note for future references so that if he met another of her pride he would recognize the scent. However, her next comment caused him to chuckle and smirk at her. You would be correct on your assumption. He would not deny what she was assuming. I'd like to join your home, for now. He would state to her. He didn't plan to make it his forever home but for now it might help if he had a steady place to keep his head low until he was ready to take his own. He needed allies.
