The male had returned to the watering hole, on the trail of some prey. He hadn’t rolled in mud this time- no the dirt that clung to him, he was sure would mask his scent fairly well. The watering hole had become a symphony of dirt storms and severe storms as of late but he sought the moment of relative peace to see if he could find a meal, and perhaps see if he could find others to help bring down that meal. He crept into some brush and let out a low chuff for those who may be near to see how many lions he could gather... and to see what they could find to feast upon.

Fissure was never far behind when there was hunting to be had. He had been one to hunt since he was young, and now that he was fully grown, he intended to hunt as much as he could. It was important to learn as much as he could about various animals and how best to despatch each kind. It was an exciting event, and as important as it was to be skilled, it was also a source of entertainment for the smiling male.

He would arrive, looking upon the larger male with a certain awe. He was a beast of a lion, but also quite pleasing to look at. Unfortunately, he could not stare overlong without sand getting in his eyes, so instead, he kept his head low, wondering how well a hunt would go in such low visibility. Seven years, no perks

Strange things were happening, and she didn't care for them. She remembered the chaos that had forced them all out of their homes so long ago, back when she and Roan had been living with his family in the mountains. All she could do was hope that this wasn't going to be a repeat occurrence, because there was nothing she could do to stop it if it turned out to be true.

Food was going to be important, and so she was attempting to figure out where the prey was still plentiful. It seemed as though she wasn't the only one, as she heard a call for a hunt. Well, she didn't know either of the males she could see, but she still approached. There would have to be food for her children, and for Jafar and Maia's children as well.

5 years, Lvl 4 Ranger (+1 to hunt rolls, -1 to prey dodge rolls)

Nothing was ever simple, was it?

If they weren't fighting each other, then it seemed that the very land itself would rise to challenge them. The dust storms were one of the milder weather events that Myra had had the misfortune to come across, but they proved to be quite a pain in the neck when it came to hunting. Not that she hadn't known that already. The golden huntress had lived through quite a few sandstorms in her adventures, many of them far worse than this.

'Mild' though this seemed, however, the winds were often too strong and unpredictable for her to accurately track prey by scent, and the dirt that was constantly thrown up in the air and into her eyes and nose often obscured any tracks that might've existed. Quite the challenge, but the huntress had set out with a purpose today, and nothing would deter from it. They were a few others around already, anyway. Even if she couldn't find anything to hunt, one of them was bound to run across something.

It seemed better to flee, seemed far more reasonable to find refuge. Alaric bade her to seek out safety, to keep safe at any cost. But—this was home, and it meant they still needed to eat. Fuel needed to be replenished. With the summons for another hunt on the air, their figures crawling nearer and readied, Aidoneus could not help but fall into step. Spying the leader of the party, she shadowed the movements. Her stride matching that of the group. Taking in their surroundings, she settled in for the chase and catch to come.

now, he was awful new to these lands. new enough that the waterin’ hole bein’ a mess weren’t really cause for concern just yet. still, he’d have to be blind to miss all the other signs. somethin’ was a-brewin’ in this place, and only time would tell what kinda nonsense was waitin’ for them. him included, at least for now. he planned on stayin’ awhile, at least ‘till he knew how it was all gonna shake down. if it ended up lookin’ like the end of the world then he was bound to skip town.

for now, though, he’s here.

joinin’ the already gathered group is one of the smarter ideas he’s had. it means he ain’t gotta put in so much work, but hopefully will get exactly what he needs from it. a bite to eat and a chance to stretch his muscles. and maybe learn somethin’ along the way, yeah? like how to better track animals through the current damned weather. it weren’t great, nor was it ideal, and the man keeps his eyes peeled -- both watchin’ out for whatever it was that they were huntin’ today, and watchin’ the rest of the group. seein’ how they did it, and followin’ suit.

soon enough, they’d have a meal to make it all worth while.

The weather was truly terrible here today. Of course, the weather had been terrible everywhere in recent days, but the dust storm just seemed like insult to injury. It was annoying enough when rainstorms got her curly all wet and tangled, but did she really have to have dirt literally thrown in her face?

Well, she supposed technically she didn't have to, but hunger was still gnawing at her belly with a cruel persistence. She'd been keeping an eye of the movements of the herds, and she knew that they still visited the water hole, either undeterred by the flying dirt or too desperate for a drink to care. What choice did she then, other than brave the dust and debris?

There was already a form grouping too, so she might as well take advantage of the opportunity. She slipped into the hunting party with only a slightly irritated expression of her face, eager to get this all over with soon.

While her actions were made with absolute caution, it was difficult to refrain from giving herself entirely to the hunt. As the calf had came into view, and their quarry made clear. She was well winded as they brought the calf down, winded as they drew its' last bit of breath. Leaning against it's side, she took in those gathered, beaming in exhilaration and triumph. It was then she realized, her hunting companions were becoming more than familiar to her. They'd done this dance before. And yet again, they found themselves successful at another task. One might even say, they were becoming quite the dream team. Maybe next time we'll manage something even larger, yeah? She sighed, drawing away to take in their kill, and their surroundings.

An elephant calf is a luck find at the best of times, but it is even more precious now in the midst of this chaotic weather. Or maybe it's the weather itself that they have to thank for discovering it. The calf likely lost its mother because of the low visibility situation created by the storm.

"We can only hope. This weather might well have scared them all off." She shrugs in response to @Aidoneus's words, finding the Oasis woman's face familiar, though it'd been quite some time since she'd seen it last. She made an excellent hunting partner, as Myra had suspected she would the first time they'd met.

Everyone had pretty well in fact, given the circumstances. She hoped that she'd continue seeing these individuals around, now that they were proving to be so reliable. Even so, the huntress wouldn't linger for long, quickly gathering up her share of the kill before padding away to seek shelter from the swirling wind.
