He wandered away from the heart of the hustle and bustle of the Brook. There were many various lions here. He didn’t mind, though it would be an adjustment to live in a place that was not made up of the majority of Sigrun. The winter here far different than the chilly sea breeze. His paw steps crunched in the snow. The cold was an irritant to the healing wound on his face, nearly sharp on the raw flesh unprotected by fur.

The early morning sun spoke of the coming spring in the way it warmed the shadowy ink of his pelt through the barren trees. He eventually came to a small stack of rock and fallen trees that created shelter as well as a basking spot he was happy to take advantage of.

Winter still griped the Brook with snow and chill in the air, and Cassandra realized she’d forgotten how chilly it could be here. She’d not been here during the winter since before her first birthday, so it made sense she’d forgotten how the weather was here. She had been relaxing within the den, sleeping when she realized her beloved was gone from beside her. Lifting her head, Cassandra pushed herself to her paws.

Her shoulder was getting there on full strength again, but she still walked with a slight limp for the time being. Wondering where her inky husband had gone off to, Cassandra slowly followed his scent to where he’d wandered off to. Her extra fluffy fur allowed the cold to be kept more at bay for her than for some others. Spotting the dark form of @Myrkvi relaxing on a stone within the sun on a stone, Cassandra smiled as she watched him for a moment - not wanting to disturb him quite yet since she had approached.

After a few heartbeats, Cassandra made her way towards him. Carefully making her way onto the stone besides him. Brushing up alongside him, the fluffy girl let out a contented rumble before aiming to nuzzle his cheek. "Good morning, amica mea*." The dark brown girl said, her voice soft as she spoke to her husband.

Good morning, Konan mín*. He murmured in return at the sound of her voice. His head tilted upwards to rasp a kiss against her face as she came close enough. How are you? Kvi would inquire. His frame shifted to allow her room beside him on the stone should she decide to lay there too. Regardless, Myrkvi would seek to press the uninjured side of his face against her plush fur wherever he may be able. There was something particularly sweet about her to him. The moment to breathe in the safety of the Brook has let him notice her in a way he hadn’t given himself the time to do between the mist, losing the Lagoon and the Cove, displacement, and well… war. Watching her fight against a pride of his enemies and becoming one of the mighty Sigrun women she was meant to be. There was a surfacing desire here, one he was keen on exploring it seemed.

Better than I have been since the war. My shoulder is doing better every day, though it still likes to give me grief sometimes. Cassandra said as he pressed his face against the fluffy fur at her neck. And you? She asked, settling herself down next to him and snuggling into him. It felt night just to be able to breathe and relax within the Brook. No duties either of them had to attend to, no obligations… Nothing that they needed to do other than heal and spend time with each other. It is… odd to be back in the Brook. But having you with me makes it better. She said softly.

It hadn’t occurred to her that her fight for the Mire would’ve been one of the first few fights he’d seen her take part in. The warrior spirit of her mother Morrigan was a major contributor to her fiery spirit, though it was tempered by the softer side of her mother Talisa. Lots had occurred between the pair, but they’d not really gotten to spend time with each other in the way they’d done so here. What was your plan for today hmm? She asked, nuzzling her head up under his head and nestling it against his inky black mane.

She hadn’t really noticed how much the pair of them had truly matured since their first little warm fuzzies at the shoreline, and @Myrkvi had proven himself time and time again. Snuggled up against him right now made her actually realize how muscular and strong he was. How much of a protector he was for her as well. And she found that quite attractive if she did say so herself.

It is less uncomfortable. He answers about the healing tear wounds as she speaks of her shoulder. The healing lacerations on the right side of his chest were nothing to him and he hardly remembered they were there. The same could be spoken for the rest of the minor war wounds on his neck and hind legs. His face against her neck prompts him to attempt a soft, teasing nip at her jawline before her head seeks to find its way beneath his chin. I’m glad you feel at ease here. And well, Myrkvi would bite the face off of anyone or anything that threatened such a thing for her again.

Find a spot of sunshine. Done. He tried to gently grasp ahold of one of her ears. Enjoy you. He spoke, perhaps muffled should his little nip be successful. Though there was an undertone to his voice that even he was surprised by in speaking such a duo of words. There was want there, as much as he tried to not make it so obvious. After all, Myrkvi had zero experience in seducing women. He was aware of her warmth and the shape of her body against his own. Was there actually something different in the way she smelled or was he simply enthralled?

There was still some discomfort at being back within the Brook again, but it was mitigated by the presence of her husband being here. He helped ground her, made her feel more comfortable just by his mere presence. Surprisingly, she hadn’t had a nightmare within the Brook since their arrival - and she figured it had everything to do with his presence there. Cassandra was glad to know his wounds were healing well too. The little nip at her jawline before she tucked her head beneath his chin caused her to feel warm, and his gentle grasp of her ear surprised her.

What was he up to? Cassandra was also inexperienced in anything related to anything more than snuggles and play-wrestling when it came to stuff regarding romance. His words held an undertone she hadn’t heard in his voice before, and it sent a shiver down her spine as he spoke. Oh? She said in response to his comment of what his plan for today was, her voice soft as well. The tone in his voice made her heart race a bit quicker, and she aimed to press herself closer to @Myrkvi, leaving almost no space between their sides. Might I ask what you had planned for ‘enjoying me’, amica mea? Cassandra said in a hushed tone, trying to figure out what he was intending to do.

Her reactions were simply fuel to his fire. The shudder he felt as he spoke. The way her side pushed against his own with a little more purpose than simply leaning on him. Kvi followed after the instinct and did his best not to think too hard about it. He rumbled softly, his head turning to groom down the back of her neck. Physically. Is about the only answer he can give her. Hopefully, the message finds its way along. Soon those long drawn out kisses become exploratory nips as if to discover what she liked and ensure she followed him along the same path.

The pair of them had no idea what they were doing here, and were mostly just running off of instinct at this point. Her body was responding instinctively to his own actions, and she wasn’t sure what to do herself. And thus she was just letting herself follow her own instincts and his lead at the moment. A shudder escaped her at his soft rumble as he groomed the fur on the back of her neck.

The unexpected little nips at her back surprised her, and she let out a surprised noise followed by a rumble of her own. Pushing herself slightly to her paws, Cassandra just kinda let herself follow her instincts along what she was doing. Keeping low, the fluffy girl maneuvered herself to rub underneath his chin if he’d let her do so. Maybe his instincts would help the two of them along as well - where their instincts led them would definitely be interesting for sure. Both of them being so young, they had no roadmap to follow for what they were experiencing or doing at the moment.

For her, she was just running purely on where instinct was taking her. She wasn’t sure what @Myrkvi was following or if he ws following purely on instinct as she was as well.

Oh, good. They seemed to be following the same thread. Kvi was far from ever doing something @Cassandra would not want. Her adjustment would cause the prince to push to his paws with his head lowered. He mindfully ravished her frame with kisses as his limbs lifted to find themselves on either sides of his wife. His nose occasionally buried into her plush fur against her scruff, his uninjured
cheek brushing against her too. There was a tightening feeling of possession, the ultimate claim. Cassandra was his and so she would always be. Such a thing to be cemented by the gentle, yet firm grasp he obtains on her scruff.

Despite neither of them knowing what they were doing, instinct seemed to be good at leading them in the right direction for what they seemed to be intending to do. A gentle nudge was given to her husband's chin as he ravished her frame with kisses. He would always be hers, and she his. Nothing would change that, and nothing could tear the two of them apart. While they had not originally been intended for each other, they had found each other regardless and in a surprising twist had found themselves falling in love with each other.

A contended rumble escaped her as @Myrkvi grasped her scruff. They belonged to each other, and recent events had shown that nothing would tear them apart - not for long anyways.

Her breathing was a bit heavy as she laid snuggled up against his inky frame. Her duotoned eyes were closed as she laid cuddled up next to each other. What they had just experienced... had definitely been new to both of them. Lifting her head, Cassandra aimed to gently nuzzle his cheek before flopping her head down on one of his inky paws once again.
