She's drawn to the battle like a moth to flame, drifting on the cusp of joining in against her better judgement. She has no dog in this fight outside of her family, and though she sees @Drakon and @Hestia fighting in the frenzy, her mother seems unconcerned. Neph frowns, but she's not sure who she would even attack -- or why. It must have been worthwhile if her father had joined in, but it's not like she can waltz up and ask him to explain. The dragon lurks in the background, her tail flicking irritably as she watched. This is the life she is made for; chaos and battle were in her blood. Now that her cubs were older, perhaps it was time to see herself to the throne she had always wanted.

It seemed they were in a similar frame of mind - both children of war and not necessarily knowing what they were doing, but succumbing to that drum-beat that surrounded them. His claws slashed across her chest and he felt the skin part beneath sharp hooks. And then she rose up to slash across his own face, the wounds beading with blood. Naturally, Baltasar reared his head back and his body leaned in a similar fashion, before he threw himself forward in an almost mirror image. His body surged forward, arms stretched wide in a typical bear-hug style tackle - he aimed to tackle her to the floor and pin her for her submission. He didn't even see @Penelope in the crowd - so focused on his job at hand that he didn't have time to worry about her safety in this mess.

Had he been a merciful man, he might have taken pity on the boy - let him cringe into the dirt and find a more worthy opponent. It was clear the yearling had had very little training when it came to games of war - his body moved too easily into the dirt and his claws flailed too uncontrollably to be anything other than a desperate attempt. The desperate attempt scraped along the side of his ribs regardless, the stinging sensation causing a flash of deep red eyes. Briefly, Harrow released his grip on Scipio's scruff before attempting to adjust his grip once more, to grab at windpipe instead. Perhaps that was the boys opportunity to wriggle away like the worm he was. There was but a brief moment of relief when Harrow loosed his weapons from Scipio's scruff that the boy thought he might have a chance. His hips tried to turn round in the mud, find enough purchase with his hind feet to kick off and rush away from the older lion's looming embrace. Scipio saw red, saw dancing colors of all sorts cross over his vision as panic set deeper into his soul and then like a shadow dropped over him they turned fuzzy, grey. Harrow's teeth found a tight hold around Scipio's neck, teeth taking root in his pale pink flesh and drawing out blood. He began to squirm left and right, making everything worse and cried out - Mom! Scipio wailed, one forepaw swiping upwards and out for the inside of Harrow's left forelimb.

He squeezed his eyes shut for a blink and then opened them again with waning restraint in the angle of their intensity, the corner of his lips trembling. Emrik all but sends him away and Finnulf looks...struck. For a moment his mottled face slackens, cheeks droop, brow raised – Go, take Ciri and be pirates with him. Like it was childish. A game that Finn was playing and that Emrik was tired of. Pain, fast and hot, seeps into his chest and up his throat like bad water. This would hurt their mother. It would hurt Ciri. Cirilla wouldn’t let Emrik walk away, would she? Finnulf finds himself furiously, overwhelmingly confounded at why things just do not work. For the entirety of his life he feels as though he has been denied. The world always rearing its riches away and out of reach just as he tries to grab for them. It is full of wonders, of glory, loyalty, adventure, and love – all of which were just out of reach. Around them lions bleed, maybe even die, trying to grasp at some of the light the world has. Perhaps that was how to do it. That was the only way to get what one wanted in life. To fucking take it. His face contorts, a snarl lit on his shaded face with all the pent-up frustration and anger of the past months. "No, Em. I can’t let you do this." He says it almost calmly, resolute, even as it is growled through clenched teeth. Then he leans back on his hind legs and lunges, forearms outstretched and attempting to wrap around his brother’s neck and shoulders, to try to grab his head into his chest and either knock him over or push him down into the mud. He has no clear goal, no real intent to hurt, and yet he can’t help himself. He can no longer just let things slip by him. The man has a vice grip on her and when he begins to shake his head back and forth, she can feel the pulling of her skin as he nearly shreds it. The blood is dripping down her neck and rolling down her legs at this point and she purposely didn't want to think of the pain, instead she would only use it to fuel her fire further. Her teeth narrowly miss grabbing hold of his ear and instead manage to clip his brow. Her attention however moves to Máni's forearm as his claws move from her armpit and dig into her sensitive skin on the outer portion of her right foreleg. Releasing her left claws from Máni's armpit she would move to attempt and latch onto Máni's forearm with her claws. Instinctively the woman would lash out then, attempting to snap at Máni's face in hopes of getting the man to release her leg from his grasp.

Hestia has managed to find herself a worthy opponent as the woman turns to face her head on. Their shoulders collide with one another and already Hestia can feel the aftermath as a deep bruise begins to form but the young tollaire ignores the pain and instead focuses on her claws that have managed to sink into Fallon's left shoulder. She doesn't have any intention of letting go, not even when Fallon leans against her right forearm, putting pressure on the limb as her muzzle snakes out and latches down. A snarl erupts angrily from the ebony tollaire as instinctively she lashes out, her jaws spread and aimed to hopefully bite down on Fallon's muzzle as she attempts to make contact with the woman's face. Her claws dig in, attempting to anchor rather than let go in this instance. The pain sends a rush of adrenaline through her, this is what she was built for. 'You can do this, you got this.' Her own thoughts giving her the cheers no one did. She needed no one to win, her enemy was being coward by targeting someone smaller/younger than them. And Zahra despite being young, was facing the foe head on without any reasons to back down or run. No more running, it was time to fight back. Abundant ferocity behind each attack she aimed to struck her foe with. Even if she lost she still wanted to leave a mark on the offender, make this encounter painful enough to punish Para's transgression and maybe she might think it twice before attacking her. Pain to the heathens, to Vellen's enemies.

She shook her neck, spraying some blood droplets from the slices her enemy left on her neck. But her own claws sliced through the woman's chin, by the skin of the offender's lips. Wanting to use such a chance, she aimed to move her left forepaw higher on the woman's face, aiming to sink her talons around Sara's right cheek. She felt the Rike's paw now over the one she used to attack, feeling their claws and attempts to get it off. To which she attempted to keep the hold, even under the pain of the vicious claws on the slender skin of her limb.

While her jaws aimed to once again go for the ear, she saw motion of the enemy's own fangs successfully snatching the fluff and skin of Zahra's chin. A growl escaped her bloodied lips before attempting to bite harder on Sara's right ear.
