The colossal male had not been here yet. As he emerged onto the field, he spotted the large source of water, now no doubt icy in temperature. It was a lucky day where fresh snow hadn't fallen again, and the bare brown earth is what met him. He had rolled in leaves and a touch of mud before emerging from the trees- his eyes searching out some prey for some warmth- and for some food.

Creeping along, his eyes widen as he takes in what he sees. Hunger rumbles deep within his belly, as he drops low to the earth- waiting to see if any other lions or lionesses appear and are willing to hop into the hunt. He's quite willing to share a meal with others today- or just the exercise itself. His tail twitches slightly in excitement, as he waits.

She had been following the scent on the cold wind for a while. It was the smell of food and it made her stomach growl. She found herself wandering closer and closer to the Watering Hole in Celosia Fields, beyond that, likely what she had been searching for.

She had been downwind from everyone, approaching from behind. The scent of another lion hit her, intermingled with that of the prey, and as she neared him, she spotted his dark shape among the tall grasses. She allowed some space between them, but crouched down beside him as well. "Wan' some 'elp?" she asked, moving an ear in the direction of the prey, thinking she was hearing the snapping tendons of their legs just beyond the fields.

If he said no, she'd move on. If he said nothing, she'd wait. If he said yes, she'd hunt with him.

Once again, the scent of prey on the wind had drawn her paws to an unexplored pocket within the fields. Today's discovery is an invaluable one, she could already tell. A watering hole was an important landmark for any hunter, after all. Everything needed to drink, even in winter.

She moved downwind, stepping lightly through the towering grass. She's not the first to arrive today, it seemed. The scent of her kind is carried towards her on the breeze, a lion and a lioness, overlapping the earthy smell of her prey. They could prove useful.

She approached on the male's free side, a low rumble in her throat announcing her presence. She wouldn't bother asking for his permission to be here. These lands were free for everyone to partake of, regardless of if he had a problem with it or not.

The watering hole was a popular haunt, so it was no surprise to the Sigrún that there were hungry lions congregating nearby. The grumbling in his abdomen, accompanied by the hollow feeling of having not had a decent meal in a while, would bring Magnus closer to the gathering. @Eskel, @Axelle and @Myra were all vaguely familiar faces by this point, and the titan would acknowledge all three of them with a quiet nod as he drew up on the vacant side of the young maned female. His attention remained fixed on the horizon; expectant, hungry. It wouldn't be long, surely, before something appealing made itself known to them.

The youngling wandered through the fields looking to hunt for her pride. She enjoyed bringing food to her loves ones whenever she was able to. Bobbed tail up as her light legs made little to no noise as she went. Already doing her best to stay quiet, taking in practice what she had learnt in the past seasons of her life. As she neared adulthood, she was becoming a very skilled huntress, capable regardless of her size. As she approached a pond, ears perked up as the noise of crunching grass, she sank to the soil, hiding in the tall grass, using the wind against her to mask her scent. And like that she just waited.

silver moon sparkling — +5 Participate in a hunt using the rolled hunt system +10 Find a notable landmark in a territory +10 Explore a territory and find something useful in it she comes with a jaunty little step, half trotting through the landscape. she is meticulous today, having awoken in the cold with an itch in her paws. she's quick to leave behind the sands of their home ( but not before giving her spouses a little smooch ) and heads inland. she needed to make use of this burst of energy before the winter got too much worse -- soon enough the snow will keep her from even leaving the den. today, though, she trails through the fields -- spurred on by a scent she's never noticed before. the watering hole is... well, exactly that. a large pool of fresh water that, surprisingly, hasn't frozen over yet. ears tipped forward, marking the location -- just in case they decided to move more inland and needed it. but she isn't the only one who's out here today! indeed, there are plenty others and given the serious looks on their faces -- and the way they all hunker in the grass -- she's stumbled upon a hunt of sorts. never one to turn down a meal, eira falls in line easily enough. ready to help however she can! 4 years, no bonus

leaving the mire is probably not a very smart idea. his wounds are still stitching themselves back together, the flesh upon his side shiny with new growth. his limb is strained and achy still -- he walks with a pronounced limp but he can still walk. and that is as much as he can hope for at the moment. leaving the mire, though, is needed; walking isn't usually a heavy exercise but today it is. ears tilt when he catches wind of the growing group, falling in line with them just in time to join them for their hunt today. he might not be well but he can still participate. легкая охота сегодня. he murmurs under his breath, voice meant mostly for the spirits that whisper in his ears. a prayer and a plea both. they've been louder, recently, and he isn't sure if that's a good thing or not.

Considerably quick as she began to follow the scent of a certain prey through the fields. Winding through the high grasses and several thrown rocks here and there as she clumsily makes her way, finding a few stops along the way where the prey twisted and turned but she had already figured out that this specific beast had wandered towards the watering hole. Without being at the end, she already knew that was its end. End of the path and end of the road mortally; so as soon as she showed up and took a look at those gathered did she feel a sense of peace knowing that there were several here that were more than likely ready to help out. Easing herself to a crouch and waiting for the signal from whoever it was that was out to lead.

The watering hole was not the most exciting of territories in which to explore, but it was a significant location for the local wildlife. A constant supply of water would mark the territory as a place of respite for herd animals, and with the herds came various predators. A landmark that everyone should know about, including himself. The Plum male would follow its length and commit to memory its safest areas in which to drink.

Other lions had begun to gather, exploration put on hold briefly in which to join them. Their purpose was clear, driven to work together with strangers and potential rivals towards a singular ambition. Brushing himself against a tall patch of withered stalks of grass along the pond, he would guise his scent.

Coming to stand some distance from the main group, as he would be moving ahead of the group when a hunt was started, use his speed to distract and redirect a potential meal into the claws of stronger lions than he. As he waited, Recluse would find himself observing @Renly with mild intrigue. She wore a rather lovely blend of colors, the sort that would appeal to those of his line. No harm in looking right?
