Little Alvena did have to stop in her exploration, though, as her stubby legs only carried her so far. Her folded ears twitched and rotated as much as they could, listening to the world around her as she huddled next to a rock. She could easily be mistaken for a pile of Faelyn's fluff were it not for her markings and those brilliant blue eyes scanning everything. A matching set of blue eyes was several feet back in the den, as Faelyn watched her daughter's fledgling steps out of the cave she had been born in, but the mother wouldn't intervene in this and the daughter wasn't aware she was being watched.

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

This area of the Hollow is generally a quiet place, hence why Faelyn had chosen it for her birthing den. So perhaps it wasn't surprising that the little ball of white fluff that was toddling along the passage had made it several feet away from the den without running into anyone.

She was beginning to get used to the dark caverns that were now her home. It was certainly taking some time, but Dahlia was becoming more comfortable and confident in herself. She was an aunt now to the sweetest little boys and it was with that realization that Dahlia knew deep down she loved cubs. She loved the warmth that billowed in her with just the bit of time she spent with them. Watching the wonder in their little eyes as they discovered new things, it was enough to cause an immediate smile on her face. Taking care of cubs came natural to the calico yearling; and wherever she could help she would gladly do so. This time as she moved through the caverns, a fresh hare clenched between her jaws, she made her way towards @Faelyn's den. Hrefna had told her about the woman and how she had just had a litter of cubs as well. And it became quite obvious by the smell of milk and warmth that radiated out of the den. A small white ball of fluff moved around the mouth of the den and Dahlia paused, gently dropping the hare only a pace or two from the den. "Hello, I'm Dahlia Sigrun, Hrefna's younger sister. I wanted to bring some food and .. meet the little ones if that's okay?" She says softly though her warm mocha eyes are rested on @Alvena. Lowering her petite frame to the ground she lays before her, getting down to her level before speaking. "Hello little one.. who might you be?" She muses warmly all the while.
note: I went ahead and 'included' faelyn as well, hope that's alright!

((That's fine! c: ))
Movement appeared in the tunnel before her, and Alvena automatically began to toddle towards it. "Dee dee? Dee dee?" she babbled, thinking it was her father coming to visit. But, she quickly realized it wasn't Roan, and came to a halt in the middle of the tunnel, staring at the woman with the tip of her tongue poking out ever so slightly. "Dah lah sigoon," she said, an admirable attempt at repeating the name the woman offered.
"Of course," Faelyn replied from the den. "The one before you is Alvena."
"Veena!" the cub chirruped happily, her stubby tail wriggling excitedly. Uncoordinated paws tried to reach out and touch the other woman's nose.
