Pouch swinging along her side, Ears twisting on top of her head with every new sound she passed by as she traveled through the fields and into the garden. Ygritte had never been here and therefore the slight smell of some flowers caused her nose to twitch and a sneeze to come through. It made her think about the thought of herbs being here. Perhaps she could find some that she didn't have. Majority of her stock was healing, very little was there of anything that may help an expecting mother. She had known of some lioness' that had given birth but she was hesitant and didn't get a chance to help them but now she might be able to.

growing up is chaotic The past few weeks had been quite traumatic for the yearling. Seeing her mom almost die before her eyes was something she never wanted to experience again, and for the days following Aarani's rescue Jiera never left her side. She was afraid if she left for longer than a couple of minutes that something would happen. But if something did happen, would she even be able to help her? She knew next to nothing about medicine and herbs or how to stop bleeding or help ease pain. All she would be able to do was cry out for someone to help if needed. It took a lot for Jiera to talk herself into taking a walk, telling herself she needed some fresh air and to clear her head a bit. It was how she found herself surrounded with the last of the flowers that called this place their home, a soft gust of wind telling her that winter was not too far away. Soon enough would snow blanket everything in Amaryllis, leaving nothing but the cold and discomfort of frozen paws. With a deep inhale of breath would she finally feel her emotions getting the best of her, causing for her to halt in her tracks and for her shoulders to slouch as her head hung low. Soft sounds of a cry trying to be stifled would then come from her, the tears rolling from green eyes and down her chartreuse cheeks, darkening her fur as they became damp. She felt utterly useless. @Ygritte

With fresh snow, Ygritte was glad and blessed she had the extra fur to help keep her warm. But others were not as lucky. However, her mind was not on the growing cold but the herbs that may or may not be alive beneath the blanket of snow. Her paws were able to tell her that she was walking on something soft and cold but what was always a mystery to her until another spoke of the snow. Ygritte never knew about it. Even in her youth. However, ears twisted as she heard a noise and her head would tilt as her paws instinctively moved in the direction. Nostrils flaring as she took in the scent to smell another. A female, younger than she and smelling of another Lioness. Hello? Is everything alright? Her foggy jewels moved around but never focused on anything as her ears and nose tried to pinpoint the sound of cries the girl was making.

growing up is chaotic The sobs would continue to wrack her body, the emotions she had been stifling to keep the strong appearance for her mother's sake finally crumbling to the ground. The uncertainty of what to do or what was going to happen in her future was rather frightening, and when she saw Aarani trapped and helpless and almost die... Another sob would rattle her body, but as she tried to inhale a breathe would a hiccup be released, causing her Jiera to stare at the ground with widened eyes. It would be after that that a voice would startle her, skull shooting upward to look at the one who had called out. Her muscles would tense as she watched the slightly older lioness, bringing a front paw up to her face to wipe at her cheeks and the remaining tears away. "I'm o- hic! okay," she would finally respond, suddenly feeling embarrassed that someone had come across her while having a breakdown. @Ygritte

The sobbing came to a sudden stop and Ygritte herself matched it as she had been walking again to figure out where the girl was. So without noise, Ygritte couldn't pinpoint the youth. Are you sure? She would ask, hearing a voice again which would cause her ears to twist on top of her head as Ygritte would continuously try to figure out where the youth was at. The young medic was concerned and though she couldn't smell any blood the thought of the youth being hurt still crossed her mind and imagination. Are you hurt? Do you need any help from a medic? She would ask curious, her voice soft and curious. Boarding worried.

growing up is chaotic Jiera would watch the lioness as she tried to navigate where she were sitting, a brow slightly watching all the while. Was she unable to see? This seemed to bring her from her emotions a bit as she thought of something else for the moment, helping to calm her breathing and get rid of the hiccups she had. "I'm okay," the yearling would repeat, her voice soft but sounding a bit more reassuring. A soft sigh would then escape her, tail flicking behind her as green gaze shifted from the lioness to her paws, staring at them blankly. "It's my mom..." Her voice would break the brief silence before it trailed off, closing her eyes to fight the years that threatened to fall once more. "She got really hurt recently and I was so afraid she was going to -" Die. She couldn't bring herself to say the word, instead sniffling a little at the thought. "I felt so useless. I don't want to feel useless anymore." Another sigh, this time much heavier than the first. "I'm sorry," Jiera would say in a sheepish manner, feeling more embarrassed than ever. "I didn't mean to tell a stranger all of that..." But what did they say about strangers? They were the easiest to talk to? @Ygritte

Even when the yearling would state that she was fine once again, Ygritte knew that wasn't the truth and it soon showed as the yearling before her - though Ygritte could not tell that - began to speak about her mother. Curiously, Ygritte would stop walking and just sit. If the girl wanted to be closer then she could come closer but now the young medic was focusing on her words rather than destination. Even coming to an end and seeming to apologize without really doing it. Don't feel sorry. Sometimes you need to let out your frustrations to someone who is willing to listen. She would explain with a kind smile. How do you want to help your mother? Maybe Ygritte could help her out some.

growing up is chaotic Green gaze would lift to look over at the now sitting lioness, watching her as she responded. "Thank you," the yearling would reply in a soft and kind tone, feeling a smile begin to tug at the corners of her lips a little. The question about how she would want to help her mother would cause for her to think for a moment. Jiera would think back on how Aarani would help her when she was a cub with her respiratory infections, of how she would give her herbs and plants to chew on and eat to ease the pains and terrible congestion it would bring on. "Maybe with herbs or something." She knew her mom was a healer of sorts but she hadn't learned anything of value, the girl blaming the constant moving of prides for reasons that were out of her mother's paws for the reason why she wasn't taught. @Ygritte

There was silence after the 'thank you' and it caused Ygritte to sit upwards more. Pushing herself up onto her toes as she would wait for some sort of noise so that she could pin point the girl again. When @Jiera would mention herbs Ygritte's features lightened up drastically. I can help with that. I'm a medic myself. Though majority of it was self taught, Ygritte would gladly help out another if it meant the young girl would be able to help out her mother in the future. Ygritte did not know what it was like to almost lose her mother, Nymeria had been hurt but healed and came back to her. But the thought of losing Nymeria was terrifying.

growing up is chaotic Hearing that the woman was willing to teach her some things would bring Jiera's mood up several notches, a soft light beaming from her eyes. "Really?" She would ask in a tone of excitement, rising to all fours and padding slowly over toward the other, closing a little bit more of the small gap that were between them but not intruding into the lioness's personal space. "That would be great!" Being able to pick up anything was more than not knowing anything at all, and if whatever she learned would help another in the future (be it her mom, herself, or a stranger) Jiera would be more than grateful. "What are some beginner things you could teach?" Might as well start with the basics, right? "I'm Jiera, by the way." Introducing herself to her possible teacher was the only thing she had to offer at the moment, and it would probably do her some good to let the other know what to call her, anyways. @Ygritte
