Ghyslaine

Ghyslaine had come to really enjoy the fields here. She had memories of nearly every part, except for that which she had just discovered. Large long-legged birds with pink plumage had taken over a small shallow pool. What was more bizarre to her than their colors was the fact that some seemed able to balance on one leg. She watched them in silence for a moment, before she glanced around- ensuring she could see no one else around.

Carefully, she planted herself on her left front leg, before picking up her right leg, and holding it over the ground. After a second of steadiness, she decided to try picking up her back legs, her eyes on the birds ahead of her. For a half-hazard second, she seemed to balance on one leg, before she toppled forward.

Ouch!

She let out a growl of frustration, as she pushed herself back to her paws- shaking her head to try to clear it from the dirt and debris. Her head throbbed for a moment, surely because she'd landed on it while trying to mimic the strange pink birds.

One of the birds let out a loud raucous call- and she was sure they were laughing at her. She let out a half- hearted snarl, before sitting down, and drawing her tongue over her paw- to scrub any remaining dirt from her face. "Stupid pink birds." She cursed.

OF SNAKES AND VULTURES; nazara had been watching the woman, who was watching the pink birds. when the woman stumbled and slipped, nazara let out a quiet giggle at the mishap. blissfulness came soon after the action, causing nazara to realize that it had been too long since she did that. watching the antics of other lions was different than watching that of prey animals. she liked lions' expressions more, as they were easy to understand and easy to decipher most of the times. the nameless woman looked irate and, if given the chance, she'd chase down the pink birds. but nazara wasn't here to sow chaos as she was a spectator. with deliberate steps, nazara made her way to the older girl. she noticed, too, the bands of dark marking on the girl's legs and the eye-catching yellow on her shoulder and upper thigh. but, what caught her attention was the girl's paw. {are you alright?} nazara asked, mind wandering to the flesh that the lioness was licking at. there were sharp rocks littered throughout the ground. perhaps, it was mean of her to laugh so easily. @Ghyslaine

She cleaned her paw slowly, before brushing it back over her face, trying to wipe any dirt that may have dirtied her fur up there. Luckily, it seemed it would only be bruises that were her evidence of her tumble- which she knew was lucky, given all the rocks around.

Could she eat one of those stupid birds? Probably.

She went back to cleaning herself as he contemplated that thought- and when she heard another speak.... she felt her heart sink a touch.

Of course, someone had seen.

She turned slowly with a pained expression and spoke through gritted teeth. "You saw that, yeah?" She grumbled, before sighing, and pushing that embarrassment to the back of her mind.

"I'm fine. Nothing that won't heal itself. Any chance you know if those stupid birds can fly? I'm finding myself fancying a feathered meal tonight." She said, adding that last bit with a grin.

She couldn't stay grumpy for long- it just wasn't her nature.

OF SNAKES AND VULTURES; the woman was quick to respond, a harsh scowl pulled onto her face. not from nazara's presence, but by what she had endured a moment ago. nazara did not wish to tiptoe around the woman and keep her calm. one aspect of being a medic in training was to tolerate her patients' ire and everything both ugly and repugnant. rather, nazara found the woman's predicament quite amusing. she was able to stifle a laugh by sucking in a deep breath as she quietly assessed the situation. if they do i can't imagine they'd fly far from your anger she said, tone teasing and light. mirroring the blonde woman, nazara slid down on her haunches. let me take a look at your paw she said, before quickly adding i'm a medic in training. despite what she said, nazara was plenty confident enough that she could timely heal whatever injury that the woman had accrued. @Ghyslaine

It is probably because of her engagement with the strange lioness, that her irritation fades rather quickly. There's no point being irritated at a stranger, for what some over-grown feathery dinners caused her to do to herself. Ghyslaine cannot help but let out a chuff of laughter at the other female's comments about the birds escaping- Ghys's ire. That is the last word it takes, for a smile to pull back to her lips, and she nods, extending a paw at the lioness's offer to take a look at it. Her paw did throb a bit, anyway. "A medic in training- that's interesting." She says conversationally, as she lets the other lioness do what she will with her paw. "I'm Ghyslaine," she offered. @Nazara

OF SNAKES AND VULTURES;It would seem that Nazara's words made the woman laugh. She, too, smiled, at the now named @Ghyslaine who seemed content enough now for her to properly check her paw. This would be the first time Nazara would be tending to something on her own. In the past, one or all of her siblings would work too, and their actions would be watched over by their mother. No injury was too big or small that cannot be mended. And their only enemy was time. I'm Nazara Safir she responds in kind, before attempting to take a hold of Ghyslaine's paw. Tell me this: does your paw hurt? Or do you feel any type of discomfort?

She has no qualm offering the other lioness her paw- though she's pretty sure if anything it's maybe a scrap or a cut. It doesn't feel super deep- it just feels like it really stings. As the lioness looks at her, and introduces herself- Nazara Safir. "It's a pleasure, Nazara."

She attentively listens as @Nazara asks her questions about her paw, and she contemplates it for a moment. "It stings, more than hurts- like I think I just scratched it if anything." She says, frowning at the paw. Normally, she'd give a scratch a good lick and other than that she'd ignore it and let it be- which probably wasn't the healthiest option.

"Who taught you what you know?" Not a demanding question- but one that is fueled by curiosity.
