Gomorrah has just walked through the door, yet he felt no shame striding into a clearing deep within the territory and making his presence known. As per usual he'd done no actual research, and had no idea how thinks worked in the long run, but he'd be damned if he didn't find someway to show off to Sodom once he found him.

Rolling his shoulders and stretching out his muscles the young male let his claws slide free and bite the ground beneath him, he hadn't had a fight in a little while but he hadn't forgotten what to do. Though he did not relish violence, it did come naturally to him as it did all Finster males.

Parting his jaws Morrah gave a low rumbling roar an invitation for challenge, an a claim to power. Though he did not exactly have a name for the position he wanted, it was more a simple call for rank.

Once the challenge was issued his jaws slackened and he waited, ears cocked and eyes alert ready for the approach of an opponent.

it was true that he encouraged fighting. taking what you wanted, fighting for what you felt like you deserved.

but this?

a stranger summoning him, challenging for rank that were filled by those he trusted?

no, this was not okay.

alaric is angry -- a true maelstrom of wheat fur and burgandy mane -- as he approaches the male. "who the hell are you?" a new recruit, no doubt, he could smell the mire on the man, and so maybe he should have been more political.

unfortunately politics were not his strong suit.

"i'm not sure what you've been told, but my noble ranks are not up for grabs." that wasn't to say that the man couldn't set his sights a little lower, but it might be advised that he talk to the king, first.

Oh? Ilarion was intrigued. This man - whoever he was - was not one of them; that much was clear. If the fact he was a complete stranger wasn't already a tell - his scent not one that Ilarion had detected past their borders, like he had with Ronin, Slaine, Kinki and the rest - then @Alaric and his aggressive greeting certainly was. The Rurik drew up several feet behind the wheaten King, pale green gaze impassive as it shifted from the Starke and settled onto @Gomorrah. It remained to be seen how things would turn now, but at least Ilarion had secured himself a front row seat to it.

Another day, another unfamiliar call seeking to climb the ladder.

Erna was not surprised whatsoever.

The Mire was growing, which would certainly please her husband. She was only glad to see it grow because they needed more soldiers. More able-bodied lions to give them strength in numbers. If her Jarl preferred to lay low, Erna would work in the shadows to secure her kin and her children a good future. A future free of enemies. A future free of pests.

She followed the call with the intention to investigate this unfamiliar lion. It mattered little who brought him here. Yet when the bearish woman appeared from the thick swamp foliage, she realized that Alaric had arrived before her.

He looked angry.

The wench found comfort in the fact that his fury wasn't pointed towards her for once. She smirked, gloating. Erna stepped to stand nearby, but said nothing lest Alaric sent a shot towards her.

Someone shows up pretty quick and Gomorrah shrugs at his words, "Gomorrah Finster. Guy I met in the passage didn't say much to be honest, he didn't even tell me your name" He wasn't exactly going for a specific rank, nor did he care much for whether his boldness was offensive. Morrah didn't want to be just another lion, he wasn't interested in climbing too high or getting too much responsibility, enough to look good when Sodom showed up was good enough for him.

The brown youth watched the paler lion for a long moment before his gaze shifted to the spectators. The dark male didn't seem like he was interested in doing anything more than watching and the lioness had a smirk on her face that caused Gomorrah to give a soft amused laugh.

"I'm gonna be straight, I came here for a fight so rank or not, do you wanna fight me?"

The challenger introduced himself as Gomorrah, explaining that whoever invited him at the passage didn't explain much. So, was it Ronin or Violarum's fault this time? She hoped it was Ronin's failure, but she couldn't care less if it was Violarum's either. As long as it wasn't her.

The brown man's attention shifted towards her and the colossal, but he spoke words for Erna. There was initial surprise at his bluntness, but she would prefer it no other way, and her smirk only broadened. "Gladly," And in one moment she stood still, the next Erna was barreling towards the newcomer.

With a few quick leaps, she was already by him. She attempted to approach him from his left side, her jaws parting in an attempt to wrap around the man's left cheek, while her right paw's talons attempt to rake from his back (close to his mane) down to the beginning of his left shoulder.

He expects the pale male to be the one to accept his challenge but instead it's the lioness. The massive woman charges him and Gomorrah spreads his paws, bending his knees slightly to brace for the impact - there's no way he can avoid the collision at this distance.

She reaches to close her teeth on his cheek and the young male turns his head to meet her, aiming to sink his own fangs into her open maw. Attempting to clamp down on her bottom jaw. Her paw hits its mark though, opening his flesh in a jagged strike. His own right paw comes up in an attempt to smack the left side of her face, claws aiming to hold the flesh of her cheek and just below her eye. An attempt to hold the face in place, and worsen any damage he might be able to inflict.

All the while, his grounded paws are planted and knees lightly bent in case he needs to move with speed. The thrill of fighting pulses through him, the scent of his own blood filling his nostrils and getting his adrenaline pumping. All he can think is, 'Let's give them a good show.'

Her teeth fail to pierce through the flesh covering the lion's cheek. Instead, they begin to back away as Gomorrah's own teeth graze at her chin and leave bloody marks in their wake. Her claws, however, managed to tear through skin and fur and the bearish Rike dropped her leg back down in order to support her weight better.

His paw rose, flying for her face. She attempted to intercept it by trying to wrap her teeth around the lion's wrist, further away from the reach of his dangerous talons. Meanwhile, her right paw lifted again, claws attempting to hook around the lion's left wrist that was planted on the floor and pull towards her to try and snatch his balance from underneath & cause damage to the soft tissue there.

His bite doesn't connect the way he hoped and he manages instead only to snag her chin with his bottom fangs, and the strike he aimed at her face also fails to connect - it's too late to abort the attack though and instead he swings his body out to the right and away from her. This doesn't save his raised paw from meeting her fangs, the flesh splitting on contact with the massive Lioness' powerful canines. It does prevent her other paw from snagging his wrist and stealing his balance, which he re-enforces by lowering his body.

In his newly lowered position Gomorrah attempts to come up from below her, smoothly transitioning from upright, to crouched, to rising like a shark from the depths of the water. He attempts again to grab her face, aiming to sink his canines into her bottom jaw, hoping she is too distracted by the paw clutched between her fangs.

If he has to sacrifice a paw to get the blow he's attempting, it's a sacrifice worth making.

The foe pivots away from her, but she barely notices that. Her mind was on the prize - his paw - as she manages to secure a grip around the wrist. Once the banshee had her hold, she wouldn't let go.

She was an offensive player more than a defensive one, especially when it came to a juicy catch such as an appendage. Erna only seeks to sink her elongated fangs deeper into the muscle and flesh. As a result, Gomorrah's teeth latch onto her jaw and she lets out a muffled snarl at the pain. He gnaws into the flesh, blood oozing and she spitefully continues to dig into his leg.
