There was nothing of interest to the Devorre beast other than the vast land of flowers that bloomed around him. He had no interest in flowers, he was not a romantic man and never would be. Sorry for your bad luck Gabby. But now that he was aware that he had children. That more of the Devorre line were being produced, Adeodatus had every intention to become one of the most powerful ( if not evil ) man the land of Amaryllis had ever known. He held no rank in the Mire currently but that would gradually change with time and for now he was content with making his moves under the moonlight. Now that summer was at its highest, Adeodatus traveled at night and as he came to the open field the brute would take off in a jog. +10 - Exercise to gain strength @Astarte

Crimson fur moved swiftly and silently through the fragrant flowers, she had done it again, snuck out under the cover of night, away from the Mire, away from him. If she wasn't terrified that he would hunt her down and kill her, and those she kept around, she would have run away, though she cared too much about Alaric to do that, she couldn't leave him, a fools hope (stupidity). With the freedom of being safely away, she too began a jog, not being able to sprint like she wanted to, her round stomach caused her gait to be a little wonky, and she hated it. She would love her cubs, no matter what, even if being a Devorre made her a little harsher than most mothers, she would still be a mother. But she'd wished she'd never went back to him that night, she could have went to Alaric, or anyone else, she felt stupid and careless.

She felt angered, she wanted to lash out, she wanted to kill him for the way she felt, she was Devorre, wars and battles won by blood or death coursed through her veins, she was suppose to be a fighter, and he'd made her submit, it disgusted her. She would kill him one day, she would Maim him, anything to feel like she wasn't a complete and utter dog.

Jogging across the fields, Adeodatus was unaware of the newest relative he had recently found within the Mire. Ears had been pushed back into his ashen mane once he felt fine speeding up his run. Nearly sprint across the field until he came to a sliding stop and turned around to run back over. He would do this many times until his muscles ached and the Devorre beast came to a halting stop and lounged himself beneath a tree. It was there he noticed @Astarte and vloodied jewels watched her like a hawk. Wondering what she was doing here and whom had caused her pregnancy. If there was one thing he'd be disguted by, it would be children outside of a blood union and since he had not witnessed one outside of his own, that bile formed in his throat rather quickly. +10 Exercise to gain strength.

She would have continued on her way, head down, light jog, steady breath, that was until the night air was interrupted by the sound of a large beast (idiot), and her eyes caught Adeodatus, then caught his look of disgust, and his judgemental stare, and she, in typical Astarte Devorre fashion, scowled right back.

How do you ever find a comfortable place to sit? .

She would called out to him, seemingly asking the most random question, especially after turning to see his stupid head. I'd just like to knows, cause it seems like it would be hard with that giant fucking stick shoved up your ass. She didn't mean to snap, atleast not that bad, but she was a pent up bottle of negativity and he'd just made the shit list for today. She stalked over and stared at him, her head held high, Tell me Adeodatus, what's it like being a carbon copy of your mommy and daddy with no self discerning traits? Don't fucking judge me. The lioness was trembling from anger, and hurt, she'd loved Adeodatus at one point, loved him more than a lot of those young cubs she'd meet, and he turned against her, for her brothers doing. He was a dog to the Devorre, and that's all he'd ever be.

Well, he didn't lounge for very long as @Astarte came to him. He could feel ( see ) the anger coming off of her in waves. They were once close, he adored her nearly as much as he adored his viper, but that all changed when her brother became a traitor in the eyes of the Devorre and Naesarpe. Adeodatus had began to grow hatred towards that side of the family and vowed that he would tear it down once he found it. The problem was - the connections he had with some of those family members.

Her words hit hollow ears and bloodied jewels watched her closely. His longer cloaws already digging into the ground, dug deeper as his lips curled upwards to show teeth. Truth be told, I wouldn't know what it felt like to have a stick up my ass, but you might. He would snap back, there was not hesitation in his words and the anger that seemed to nearly boil out of them. He wanted to trust her, to be able to have that connection again but there was no going back now.

I would watch how you speak, văr. Just because you are pregnant will not stop me from tearing into your flesh and putting you in your place. He would growl at her, the demon surfing along the surface. Itching to be let loose and climb out into the world to play. He was tempted to let it out. To let it play with the hide of his cousin regardless of the children that she was creating. He was no cub killer, but he wasn't going to stand by and let her talk to him as if he was a piece of trash to be walked all over.

In truth, she longed for the connection she once shared with him, but how dare he judge her for her brothers actions, she glowered at him, fur raising, his threats fell on empty ears, she was Devorre too, their blood was the same, their quick to anger attitudes were so much alike, and something that had caused her parents to regret family meetings due to the trouble these two could seemingly draw up out of nothing.

Watch who you threaten Adeodatus. I'm not the only one with cubs right now, and despite what you might think, their father would protect them with his life..

She didn't outright threaten his cubs, nor did she admit anything about her cubs father, she pinned her ears back and hissed, she wouldn't be treated like trash either. Not from someone who shed basically developed beside.

A chuckle formed, dark and devilish as he listened to her words. She never did back down from him and it had been one thing Adeodatus admired out of his cousin. It was what caused them to have such a bond that was now broken due to one simple mistake and traitor. In truth, there was no judgement from him that caused this rift between them, it was mistrust and doubt that had caused this rift. How could he trust her to not stick a knife into his back? There was a part of him that wished to trust her, to have that bond but there was a part of him that stopped him.

Her words did not cause any kind of change in his features as he listened to her speak. There was a hidden threat behind them that he knew but the Devorre beast didn't mind threats that he could handle. Do you think I won't tear him apart? He would question her. I am not afraid to deal with the consequences of my actions. He would state bluntly.

Astarte was annoyed, that was all there was to it, annoyed she could no longer find solace in his presence, annoyed she had to be roped in with a murder she wasn't even old enough to remember, she couldn't even begin fixing what was broken because it wasn't her mess to clean up, and she didn't have all the pieces. And it hurt her to grapple with broken shards. She felt her gaze soften as she faced him, in truth she couldn't threaten him with any other male because he's always been godly to her, she would always see him on a pedestal that maybe he didn't deserve but she'd placed him there and no amount of distrust could knock him off of that, as much as it pissed her off.

Well, let's just hope it wouldn't come to that.

She wouldn't admit to his face that she thought so highly of him, she couldn't even bring herself to tell herself she loved him, but it was there, under the Lionesses tone, she wouldn't admit she thought he could slaughter any one that stood up to him, would strike down any opponent. But again, he was a god in her eyes, a king of kings, and she would have a hard time ever finding someone that could take his place on her pedestal.

Adeodatus could see the annoyance that was coming across her features. Of course, the Devorre beast understood because of the simple mistake her brother had made. Something Adeodatus knew all too well that she couldn't have been a part of it because she was the same age as he was, and yet his mind just wouldn't let him think otherwise. Her words meant nothing in terms of his mind and the Devorre beast just watched her with bloodied jewels as he let silence come between them until he would lounge once more underneath the lone tree. Did he do the blood ritual? Did she hold a ritual, with a witness? If not, she was stuck with the bastards that Adeodatus would consider them to be. He and Gabrielle had done the ritual before he put children into her womb and he would expect that for ever Devorre that followed the traditions as he did. But was @Astarte one of those that didn't follow traditions?

Astarte felt ashamed, she flattened her ears and winced as the teeth puncture on her neck burned, of course they didn't actually, but she swore she could feel it for a moment, orange eyes stared into the distance before she blinked and was brought back down.

He wouldn't allow it. I tried fighting him.

She spoke softly, not looking at him, she had fought Adalwolf, until he'd threatened her life with teeth pressed into her neck, and she'd still defied him until he disciplined here, she even defied him still today, she'd atleast fought for herself until she couldn't. Let him think her weak, she hadn't wanted this either
