Even gathering the pride together for a hunt, he knew that he was going to rely on a lot of them to be able to do much with the prey that he had located. Cosmin was still learning and hadn't as much experience in the activity as those older than him might. But he was continuing to try and put on a brave face for everyone, especially his family, and so he called for them to round up and come hunt together with him. Perhaps they could take down this prey and have a nice moment afterwards where they filled their bellies and enjoyed the silence of a good meal. It sounded nice in theory, of course, but it was hard to truly have a quiet moment sometimes.

Ah yes, a hunt, huzzah. Truly this was Angelo's least favorite thing, but it was also one of the most important things for him to be doing considering how much he tented to eat and how many children there were running around that could technically be considered his fault. And, speaking of kids, it was one of his making the call for the pride, so yeah. Ought to show up.

He picked up on the scent of what they were going after and was pleased that he had chosen to come along, because that was going to be a tough one. Granted, they usually had most of the pride coming with them for these things, but he couldn't really afford to slack off right now for a plethora of reasons.

All right, let's do this, but carefully, he said softly. The last thing he wanted was another family member getting injured.

She was far more of a medic than a hunter, but that didn't mean she hadn't had lessons. So she came when she was called by one of the yearlings of the pride, though she would admit she was incredibly confused as to why a man was calling to lead a hunt. A feeling that only grew when she got there and there was another man there too. Were hunts run by the men in these lands and she was misstepping? Hmm...

She supposed they would tell her if she wasn't supposed to be there, and so she joined the hunting party, staying a respectful distance back while still being close enough to hear what was being said and therefore not miss any instructions.

It was Cosmin this time who summoned the Hollows to a hunt. The yearlings were growing quickly into reliable young men and women indeed, and Mircea is more than willing to lend his own strength to their efforts to keep the caches filled.

The ghoul would plod his way towards the hunting party with as much quiet as his colossal paws could manage, lest he carelessly send the lost elephant calf running too early.

"Yes, but we must finish it quickly too." He murmured lowly as he stepped in near @Angelo's side, copper eyes scanning their surroundings carefully. "We don't want to attract the mother's attention." There was no sign of her now, certainly, but there was always the chance that the continued trumpets of a panicked calf could change that quickly.

Thella's breaths were loud and rhythmic with each stride as she ran along the base of the tall dune. As she neared the dip between two peaks, she burst into a sprint, muscles rippling with the effort. She needed to work on herself; she wasn't just a young woman anymore. She was the pride's Lead Scout and she needed to do better, to be better.

As she reached the valley between the dunes, she gazed out as far as she could see into the rest of desert, looking for movement; the cooler weather could bring folks who were more willing to brave the arid climate to attack from the south. She turned to head back north, to double back on her path until she reached the border with the Badlands, and was met with Cosmin's call to hunt.

Without hesitation, she bounded in his direction until he and the rest of the group came into view in hot pursuit of an elephant calf and she joined excitedly. Finally, something a bit more substantial!

As a leader she made her duty to show up for things such as hunts and gatherings that her members wished to host. It was a show of good faith and good prosperity that she support every member no matter where they stood in the ranks or what their intentions were. Even if she was the only attendee, that was enough for her. So she set to assisting one of Alexander's children as they hosted a hunt for the pride. Doing what she could for the attack as well as chasing it towards the waiting mouths. At least hunting was something easily doable and it allowed her a chance to see the hard working individuals of the pride.

{Very true,} he agreed with @Mircea. Oh hey, there was Thella. And Juliette, of course, but that was nigh on a given at this point. He defied anyone to say Juliette didn't do enough for the pride, that was for sure. Let them say it about him instead. Just not right now, because clearly he was doing something. That something being chasing after their quarry and trying desperately to throw himself on top of it in order to bring it crashing to the ground or at least trip it. He clearly hadn't thought that all the way through to realize if it went crashing down then he would too, but hey, he wasn't known for his quick thinking.

She felt even more nervous as another man showed up, but then she relaxed as immediately after, two women filed in, Juliette included. Okay, so hunting was a mixed gender sort of thing here. How... odd. Though, she was relieved the men were they when she saw what they were going after. An elephant calf was potentially quite dangerous despite its youth, and the mutterings about its mother were very valid as well. So she sprinted along with the others, working to keep the calf in line and taking nips at its heels whenever she had the chance. She wasn't small herself, but she'd allow the far larger males to try to bring it down with their weight.

But so far, nothing has been detected. So for now, he gave it a nod of satisfaction. Her brown eyes calmly returned back into the insides of her Hollows, walking in at a slow pace. Taking his time. He was always passive, taking his time to do his things but do so perfectly. But then he heard, an elephant calf. Such a thing needed a lot of cooperation in order to be brought down. And thus, he went to help them out. Thella cheered as Constantine brought the calf down and smiled to the rest as she approached their fallen prey. She took a few bites, savoring each, before she stepped back and began to help prep the remaining meat to take back to the caches and, once complete, bid her pride mates farewell. She might have taken a break to assist the hunt, but it didn't mean her training or other duties were finished.

She jumped around to bring warmth back to her muscles before heading out to the northern border. Again, she took her time looking out; checking for any movement; lifting her nose to catch any strange scents. When none came, it was time to run, and so she did, letting the cool wind whip across her face.
