As she kicked out her back feet met flesh and she felt her claws dig into the soft belly of her opponent, drawing long furrows down the vulnerable skin there. Hatred simmered in her heart and she hoped that they were wounds that did not heal well. Let it be a lesson to this bitch that she was as much a fighter as any blood-born Sigrun.

The black and white speckled lioness began to shake her head, as well as she could while they were both laying on the ground. In an effort to prevent her from doing any more damage than her teeth had already done, Revna lifted her free foreleg and reached up quick, aiming to draw a slash across the lioness's face. With luck, perhaps she could catch the female's eye and do some real damage as payback for the tearing she was doing to the skin on her neck. At the very least, she hoped it would get the other to let go of her, so they could break away from each other.

Her belly had taken worse and with Echo's skill it would be tended to as all her wounds had been. Her grasp shook the lioness but it didn't seem that would be enough. Amara was ready to rip the flesh away from her body but the lioness wasn't giving in just yet. Her golden gaze caught sight of the claws coming toward her and released her grip on the lioness and jumped up before charging forward in an attempt to run her over. The claws found her shoulder as she moved. Amara was up and the lioness was still down. She snapped toward her. Touch my pride members again and next time you won't walk away. She growled as she declared herself the winner. Amara didn't really care what the fight was over or why it had happened. She was making things VERY clear for the Cove members. Very.

At this point winning or losing didn't matter much to Revna. She had what she wanted in the form of the troublesome lioness who needed to answer a few questions back home. Amara backed away from Renva's swipe of her claw, leaping up so that she only caught her on the shoulder momentarily. Regardless, the move had done what it had needed to do and @Amara had released her flesh and they had broken apart. As the black lioness charged forward Revna protected her head, letting the paws crash over her, causing light bruises where she was smacked. Before she could get back up herself the woman was snapping at her, as if this whole ordeal had been her fault.

"If your pride members attack me first then they bring it on themselves," she hissed back as she pushed herself back to her paws, tail lashing violently behind her as her ears flattened angrily. She turned to @Sarsaparilla. "You come with me," she growled, having beaten back the challenger for her claim on the girl. Her claws extended and, despite her injuries, she was ready to force the girl back to the pride. Perhaps Elias and Ulla could help with some information extraction, since this lioness clearly had preexisting dislike of Sigruns. A thought had formed in Revna's mind, and she wondered if this lioness was an enemy of some sort. They would need to find out.

"This isn't over," she promised, her eyes cutting back to Amara. If they saw each other again they could continue this discussion about who had touched who. Her eyes drifted to the yearlings, and in them there was another promise. She would return violence with violence, and next time she wouldn't go so easy on @Séverine.

She huffed angrily and stepped forward towards Sarsaparilla, tail lashing and daring the girl to disobey now. She was bleeding, the blood turning dark as it soaked the black fur around her wounds, and was in no mood for anymore nonsense from the girl.

just like that maman was leaping in to the fray, and louve turns her attention from sev to the new fight. revna, of course, falls beneath the older dieudonne, and a grin splits the younger girls face. she seeks to bump shoulders with her sister (mindful of her injuries), a silent expression of her excitement at seeing their mother triumph.

but.... even though mother won, the girl still had to go? @Sarsaparilla did not want to go with the other lioness, so why?

a frown creased her brow as she looked up at a decidedly angry mother, thinking that perhaps now was not the best time to ask. her claws flexed, and she turned towards her sister instead, with a look that indicated she'd walk home with her if she'd allow.

The larger, older lioness finally toppled the claiming Sigrun with a final rush. Dominance is established as Amara practically flaunts away. Despite Sarsaparilla's large size, that was a confidence she had never perfected projecting. Hers was a quiet, soft, wary strength, that emerged in a frenzy as a last resort. She tried to hide back, shrinking onto her haunches, but the savage didn't overlook her. She was ordered away and despite a last, desperate glance at the Bluff lions there was no aid there. Both were wounded defending their own honor. She had been only a pawn. This was not unfair. This was life as a Rike captive and then wife. One followed the orders of the strong. If not, both winner and loser would turn on her; the social order must be preserved.

Her ears were pressed backward with nothing resembling resentment, though her eyes seethed. She kept her head too low for anything resembling a bow. A snake could bow better. She shied away from Revna's every move, careful not to stray too far or too near. A unconscious balancing act. She had always been brought to heel, and often plotted her revenge, though revenge seemed impossibly complicated. Her heart still raced and she felt weak as adrenaline wound down, as though it had been her that had fought. From sand passage to sand home.

Complete and utter chaos. Violarum's departure is a slow one, wandering idly before he would pause to watch the battle again, head turned over a burly shoulder. Through the spitting insults of the kids and the potentially less mature adults, Violarum wonders quietly what beef they had with one another. Surely not just this woman?

The rogue is claimed by the Caladan Cove woman, and yet Amara sets about teaching her a lesson. Women. Men were meant to be the fighters, and yet he certainly saw more ladies at each others throats than anything else. Satisfied, perhaps intending to cross paths with Sarsaparilla gain, Violarum wandered off.
