The spectre pauses at a large femur bone, paler toes snake out to touch it, prod it forward and back before he moves on. The sun was beginning to set and as the sky faded into an evening hue, he wondered if any spirits would appear to haunt him. He figured if it was going to happen anywhere, it would be here.

OOC: RIP me Wrong place, right time? Or wrong place, wrong people? Giselle had no intentions of stepping in the middle of lover’s quarrel today. In fact, other lions were the last thing of her mind! When she’d first found her way into the boneyard, she’d been so pleased with all her discoveries that she had squeal internally (and externally) over the span of a few minutes. Earlier, she had been examining the remains of a particularly gigantic rhino. Fascinating creature! Obviously, some mischievous little soul had tried to pry their horn away, most likely post-mortem. Giselle could barely imagine how it would be to meet such an astounding creature in real life. She most likely would pee her pants! If she wore any. As the sun threatened to set, the golden lioness moved on. This time to a pair of elephant ribs. And like any other mortal, she was unable to resist the urge to walk through them, zigzagging between the bones. That is, until she bumped into another lion. Giselle came to a sudden stop in front of him, smiling sheepishly. “My bad, I wasn’t looking.” She glanced up at the bones once more. “I was distracted by this…magnificent creature”. Careful child, or the next headstone placed here might have your name on it. All is fair in love and war.

The giant had spied the flash of a golden pelt in the peripheral of his vision. Predatory instincts sprung into play as he silently altered his direction. Deft paws were slow and deliberate, and whilst he did not ever 'sneak', he would quietly and expertly deliver himself to a position ahead of the red haired woman, where he stands waiting, knowing that her weaving movement would sure enough bring them to a head on collision.
He doesn't care enough to knot his features in mock surprise as gold fur clashes with his ebony shoulder. Ransom remained unmoved, his intense stare simply looking at the blonde lioness as she shifted her gaze to the bones.
"Yes. Magnificent." But he wasn't looking at the elephant carcass.

OOC: Hehe, didn’t know it was my turn, sorry for the wait! Contrary to popular belief, this was not the first time Giselle had been eyed up like an extra pickle, extra mayo double vegetarian cheeseburger. Be it her mane, her height, or her most recent attempt a vegetarianism, they always found something to gawk at. Not that it made her any less…uncomfortable. Her eyes flitted along the ivory, and her smile grew wide. She refused to acknowledge burning on the side of her face, like hot rods boring into her. “We had one back home, an elephant graveyard,” she waltzed back in through the tall columns of bone, “I used to play in them as a cub.” She could feel her heart beating, even as she was wrapped in shadow. Safer, she was, with no body to be looked at. And then it became clear to her, obviously she had been thinking about this all wrong. Giselle turned her face to look at him then, her expression half-determined and half-apologetic, one paw rising to pat her crown. “I’m sorry, is there something in my mane?” A laugh burst from her lips. “I swear, it’s like finding hidden treasure in there.” Her face suddenly brightened. “Oh my god, is that where Perry’s been hiding?”

The lioness sought to take shelter behind the bones but now he has her in his sights he does not let her go, the ghoul followed in silence, watching her with the unfading intensity he does so well.
Eyes widen in surprise when the female seemed to... lose something in her mane? His brow quirked, distracted completely from his ill intent by her utter strangeness.
What? A confused scowl crossing his face.

OOC: I know this is very late and old so there’s no pressure to reply <3 “My pet seagull, Perry.” Giselle explained, pawing through her mane to no avail. As her paw slipped down from her crown, her expression saddened. Her heart, which had lifted so suddenly, had fallen all the way into her stomach. Ashes to ashes. Flesh to bone. Perry hadn’t been able to fly the last time she’d seen him. And even though what you’d expect, the correct thing, would be to apologize. To blush, to giggle and say “oh, silly me”. Because who wants to be thought of as strange? But this is Giselle we are talking about, and…whilst definitely not impenetrable, she could not see anything wrong in her devotion towards smaller creatures. Just like he apparently couldn’t see anything wrong about stalking girls in graveyard. Giselle blinked down at her feet, “I think I’ve lost him,” she sniffled, “I’ll never see Perry again.”
