He's been looking for @Alizabeth.
A little over two days had passed him by since he'd seen her last and yet his thoughts are consumed. She's the fire in his blood, and he is raging.

He inhales deeply, thought he had caught a faint scent of her on the morning breeze. It had led the behemoth to a field of flowers, all in bloom, beautiful and idyllic, yet lacking in the one thing he desired.

Suppose she is dead. The anxiety this thought propels in him is colossal, physically bringing about a feeling of sickness to his stomach. Anger rippled through him, finding its way through the taut muscles of his shoulders, making him stalk through the foliage with heavy, thunderous feet. Of course he knows that she is fine and well, it is only his inner demon that seeks to destroy him with such worry. He would scoff at someone else like him, so desperate.
But then Ransom did not give a fuck what others might think of him.

Relenting to his need to see her, the ghoul tipped back his head and called out to his beloved._{BG — IMAGE — CODE}

The woman had heard the call, but took her time answering it. She had been napping nearby, thankfully, so it was convenient that he had come here. Ears flicked, her thick fur ruffling slightly as the wind picked up. Vibrant eyes narrow in on him as he comes into view, a brow arching slightly as it seemed he was restless. Letting out a rumbling purr, she calls out to him, "What's wrong, big boy?" She coos, moving to approach and bump her head against his chest before lazily tucking her head immediately after and rolling onto her side before him. A paw extended to bat at his chin, her form stretching out - at ease. Usually she wouldn't be so candid, but she was already drowsy and relaxed. @Ransom

Patience does not come naturally to the ghoul, he waits with an ever growing rage. Once the white pelt of @Alizabeth danced into his view, the obsidian brute stalked forward to meet her half way. Teeth flash out, wanting to reprimand her, to find the soft skin beneath the powder white fur and bite down.
But then terse stare met with vibrant pink gaze, he is paused in his unreasonable anger, Ransom's ill thoughts and feelings subside, slipping quickly into relief and of course, desire. He cannot control it, these feelings he holds for Alizabeth, but he knows that he must stop himself before he goes too far. She is so strong, but if she let her guard down he might crush her with his love.

His mood transitions as they near each other, ears perched forward, flickering at her words. He reached down, inky lips dancing over Alizabeth's forehead and then her spine as she moved passed him. Skull turned as he watched her roll to the floor and flex herself invitingly. Nose twitched, claws gripped the soil beneath him.

Ransom caught her extended paw with his own as it batted at his chin. I missed you. He smiled, though he did not try to lie down with her._{BG — IMAGE — CODE}

His was a welcome touch, even if still slightly foreign. Affection, commitment - if you call that this, was still something that frightened her. Most of her life she had dedicated herself to one man, giving her all. Every drop of devotion, only for it to be crushed into nothingness like it didn't matter. Alizabeth was capable of great love, but whether she thought it was worth it or not wad an entirely different thing. As the beast above her spoke, the woman found herself peering up into his eyes, a vibrant teal mingled with a lighter shade. How pleasant he was to look at. And, she knew, that if she truly wanted she could lock him down and posses him forever. In their short time together, Alizabeth had gathered at least that much about him. "Missed me, hm?" The woman murmurs, her raspy voice holding a thoughtful tone. That tattered ear of hers twitches as toes splay to entwin their toes - akin to holding hands. "Ransom. What do you know about me, and I, you?" She wanted to know more. Needed to, if she was ever going to see him as anything more. @Ransom

The black ghoul regarded @Alizabeth, pleased just to exist in her presence for a while. Their meetings thus far had been exciting, electric even. He enjoys that of course, but he also likes this, the quietness that had rapidly come upon him, the calm satisfaction gained from her proximity. He's never known anything like it.
He's thoughtful of her words, her question. Truthfully, he hadn't ever really considered a need for them to get to know each other, it seemed odd and extraordinarily intimate.
"What I know is that I am yours." He began, looking her over like she were the Queen of the world, or at the very least, his existence. But did she know what he meant? "It might appear shallow, what we have between us. But it does not feel that way to me." He paused, unused to such exposure of feelings. "I have no one. Never have. Not mother or siblings or friends. I was raised in complete isolation by an unrelated lioness who found me outside the borders of Amaryllis, she raised me, neglected me, until I was big enough to fight back."
He turned a little and let his legs moved out from underneath him so that he laid down in the grass facing Alizabeth, close enough that he could overlap a foreleg over hers.
"I came to Amaryllis in search of the family that lost me. But then I met you; exciting, willfull, beautiful..." He could roll his eyes at how simpering he seemed in that moment. But once he'd started, the flood gates had just opened right up. "So when I say that I am yours, I mean it." Cerulean eyes looked to meet her own. "If you ask me to do something, I will do it. I will fight, maim or kill at your command... or die in the trying."
He smiled at her, a little sheepishly, hoping to gods that he had not put her off. "Now, tell me about you."

@Ransom seemed so serious, so focused on her. It was more than a little flattering, but something that Alizabeth wasn't used to at all. In all her life, she didn't think even once she'd ever had a male so dedicated her. Every single one in her past had been selfish, self-centered and wanted her to obey and follow them. A bundle of emotion swelled in her throat and she pushed it down, swallowing hard. So easy did he proclaim, I am yours. Admittedly it caused a flutter of feeling to sweep in and grasp her heart. Brows furrow slightly as she listens intently to the extent of his story. "You have me." She murmured pointedly, interjecting just briefly, but falling silent once more as he continued. Hearing about the woman neglecting him stirred anger within her, a desire to protect and save a younger Ransom blossoming in her chest. It was then she realized that he was still relatively young - by comparison. As he shifted to get more comfortable, she smiled faintly and glanced to the limb that dropped over her own. It was a very simple touch, but it was nice. That tattered ear of hers flicked as he continued, speaking now of herself. Shifting a bit so that her forelimb overlapped the one atop hers, she stretches a bit more and presses her nose to his chin. "All I ask is that you understand me and give me the freedom I wish for. I have..." She pauses. Well, this was as good as any to segway into her life story. Or at least the short version. "I was different...when I was your age. You'd likely not even recognize that weak, stupid lil' dumbass that I was back then. Had no idea how badly the world could fuck you up in a split second." A smirk touched her lips, magenta eyes casting out to look idly around them in a thoughtful manner. "I learned real fuckin' quick, though. Long story short, I had a buncha men, women - whoever, teach me that the world wasn't made of sunshine and rainbows. There was bad in the world, good, but mostly bad. Had a few fellas say they loved me, then turn around and slap me for not worshipping their fuckin' dicks." She snorts, teeth flashing in mild irritation. "They'd sleep around then expect me to remain dutiful and loyal, like some simpering bitch." No sir, that wasn't her. Never would be again. "I took over my family, first bitch to do so. Was a big deal, nobody liked it - 'specially not those dickheads I mentioned before. Got in a lot of fights, had some kids...fucked up a bunch and found myself here. Mostly on the run from a family where death is usually the only escape." Well fuck. That was the first time she'd told anyone outside of Alabaster about her conundrum. What a bag of disaster she'd just dropped on this massive beast. Grinning sheepishly, she tilts her head, gazing up at him. "I'm a fuckin' mess."

You have me.
His heart soared, it took immense strength of will to stay stock still and not let the words bring him to yet more utterances of devotion and love. @Alizabeth was his, forever.
The ghoul's chin rubbed down across her nose as his ears pitched forward to listen to her request. He wanted to ask her what she meant about freedom, ask whether she intended to set her heart elsewhere. The thought of it flared within him for a moment, but she'd already moved on so Ransom decided to refrain from drawing back to it.
Alizabeth availed him of her past, he listened intently, realising that her early years were steeped in a struggle for survival just as much as his. Ransom's lips crack and peel back at the mention of the bastards that had abused her. The giant brought himself closer, to lean his large shoulder against her smaller one.
Death is usually the only escape. He smiled, knowing how true the statement was.

Magenta gaze finds him and his eyes crease a little in response. We're both a fucking mess. The giant let his lips brush against her cheek. I'm glad you told me about your past. Do you have any children here in Amaryllis?

Alizabeth's smile at his response was immense. It was exactly the type of response she had been expecting. Wanting. Lifting her face up, she coos softly and offers @Ransom an almost delicate kiss to his nose. "Children? Naw, I don't think so. If I do, I haven't fuckin' come across 'em yet." She murmurs, suddenly in thought as she considers. It wasn't out of the question. She hadn't exactly been subtle about her departure. Unbeknownst to her a couple of her children had made their way here. Good and bad. Leaning further into him, she yawned and stretched out, unable to help herself. It had been a long day and right now, she was tired. Curling her small form into his, she buries her face into his mane and hums, "Let's snooze, babe. I'm tired as fuck." They could talk more later. After all, they had forever now. /exit via sleep

She appeared to be stuck in thought, the male looked on in silence, examining carefully for the slightest change in her pale features.
It does not disturb him that she is seemingly uninterested in her offspring being here or there. Ransom could not comprehend what it was to be a parent and he doubted that he was capable of succeeding in such a role.
What little example he'd had, had fallen woefully short.
But these serious thoughts were easily set aside as @Alizabeth yawned and found herself a place within his large form. The giant's neck curled around to cover hers, pressing his cheek into her pearlescent fur. Finally able to breathe, for the first time in his life.
