Others came to his call surprisingly enough. He wasn't the hunter of the group but he did know what it took to survive in such a harsh landscape. Perhaps it was this aspect alone that had him earning their trust. Or maybe they were just hungry. Either way they had come even if the meal to be found was more of a measly one. Still food was food and every morsel of food was needed in the desert.

They did as they have been well adept at doing on their previous hunts and came together to take down the prey. The Oasis pride had become like a well oiled machine. Iofiel gave up his silent prayer when the animals were slain. He then made his way off to hunt for himself, not wanting to take anything from the pride.

Too absorbed was he in his own deliberations that Ebrahim would not notice @Rielus approach the group until he addressed him directly. The Azar would turn, offering the brown-pelted guard a blink in way of greeting. "And you," the grey-pelted brute commented smoothly. After all, he hadn't been the only one absent, surely - they'd all scattered to the wind, not just him. Mention of having missed something tweaked at Ebrahim's curiousity, and he would arch a brow slightly - "oh?" - as attention sidled to @Ashelia, who would appear in the moments spanning after. Would she care to elaborate further?

No?

As expected. Ebrahim harrumphed quietly, turning back to face the horizon just as movement begun. And so the pursuit would begin, with the group of lions finding it easy enough to bring down the little deer. The catch was puny, in his opinion, but it was better than an empty belly. With a brief glance around at the others - attention lingering a moment longer on Rielus and Ashelia - Ebrahim would excuse himself with a nod. It wasn't like they'd need help with transporting the kills back to the caches.

Their success was only natural, and Seraphiel too excused himself in favor of heading off to see if he could find anything a little larger to hunt or scavenge. It was good that they had managed to get something, but when that something could make its way down his hatch in one bite... well it left a little something to be desired. Still, he was glad they had managed to work together and provide some amount of food for the pride. It would be a good meal for any of the younger members, or perhaps someone who wasn't all that hungry.

He left it to the others to manage and set off over the border in search of further tracks.

While it was not a face he was accustomed to leading the hunts, @Iofel had lead quite a successful one. With the amount of lions that showed the small deer creatures had no chance of survival, for this he was certain. He had ignored the pointed looks of @Ebrahim in feign of interest in the hunt, thus was not bothered by the other male's seeming interest in his and Ashelia's affairs. Their quiet exchange of looks had been enough for him to know that she was still present with him without telling Ebrahim of their courting by night.

As the lions had succeeded in their endeavor to take down the small deer he had no interest in staying to devour the kill. This meal was small, meager, and he was not ranked enough to partake in the spoils. Instead of linger he would trail off into the oasis, intent on finding Ebrahim alone and perhaps indulging the other man in a conversation.

A success, as she had expected. Hardly seemed a use of her time, but such things were expected of her these days. Unless she wanted to go live on her own somewhere and become a swamp creature, which was tempting on occasion but seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth. Then she really would have to waste her time on hunting when instead she could just take something from the caches whenever she wanted.

Right now she had other things to handle, and so she joined the throng leaving the group to go take care of them. Collecting plants was a more worthy use of her time than dragging a small creature back to the cache, she thought.

He expects little else but their victory. The prey is small, and they are a cohesive unit, having participated in this dance together more than once. More than twice — many times over, they've banded together for the survival of themselves and their pride. Seneca chooses not to participate in the feast this time, leaving the meager remnants for those who need it more. Part of being a king means the capability to be selfless when it comes to it, and this is one of those times. With a dip of his skull, he turns on his heel to depart from the group and head back into the sands. Exeunt Seneca
