The gorge was beautiful again today, the sun had set and thus the sky was beautiful overhead with many stars and the moon illuminating her pathway. Mirasol was far from scared of her surroundings, she grew up here. This was home to her and always would be, she had only watched the strangers from afar and refused to get closer just yet. Noticing a lot of males that came with the group she was cautious to go talk to them, and the call of challenges rang out a strange tone that broke the peace of Amaryllis. Laying down a yard away from the drop off she looked up at the sky studying the stars, her ears twitching listening to her surroundings carefully.

she was cautious, but it seemed as though they shared at least one thing in common. Usually, Camelia wouldn't deign to be so desperate for company, or hell the idea of making friends, but she did have a love of the stars.
Softly, she broke the quiet that surrounded them,
Her eyes followed Marisol's line of sight, fixing her stare on the patterned bliss above their heads. Without mind to do it, a smile seemed to find itself crawling along her lips. She sat close to the strange woman, not to intimate herself with the other, but to see what she saw.
OOC ♥ hi don't mind me hoggin your aw's. lol needed me some task threads.

Softly, she broke the quiet that surrounded them,
Hi.

What are you looking at?which stars, which story. the girl thing ached for her mother's guidance, her stories. perhaps the strange would oblige.

Asingle ear flicked to listen to the approach of a lioness, she didn't smell familiar. Head turned slowly to focus sunset like eyes upon the white lioness. Her facial features remained neutral but not offensive, a curious teenager was always welcome at her side. As long as they were polite of course. ”Hm? The stars” she admitted letting her gaze find its way back to the skies. ”I'm admiring the beauty they bring tonight,” she added softly, there was no certain set of stars she was after tonight.
@Camelia
Oh.she replied with a thoughtful smile. She reclined back with a soft oof, to lay on her back.
I like stars too,she began. it seemed rather silly, as no one could honestly say they hated them--right? their ethereality, their immenseness. unending, far passing. Their soft light, a crescendo above their heads igniting dreams and splendor beyond mortality. Yes, she loved them.
Do you know any of them? How could anyone name so many? She thought back to her childhood, and how she simply needed to. Each one was given a child's story, her daydreams woven into the nightsky.

“Have you heard of star children?” she asked the youth suddenly wanting to see how much knowledge this girl had, she looked to her smiling. She wasn't so foolish to not think a lioness didn't pose as much risk as a lion, but she was young and seemed more curious then violent. ”It is said when one is born under a full moon or under certain stars that they can hold powers. Sometimes the gifted ability to hunt, or the uncanny trait of knowing when another is fibbing” she explained her history taught by her parents. Mirasol was not born under the stars, she was born under cloud cover with a partial filled moon, she was shrouded in mystery like the night of her birth.
”hm” she hummed thoughtfully letting her gaze drift upwards above them again she pointed with her chin and looked to her softly, ”See that bunch there? That is Carina, one of the brighter stars in the sky” she answered her question like a patient teacher.

My ma never spoke of that before, huh. she shook her head. star children. how romantic. she shifted her weight, her mind abuzz with this fresh perspective of something she'd been born to love. animated, her features were bright turning to glance at her new teacher.
Ma said the moon was a sliver the night I was born. Sharp like a claw. She grinned at the memory. And then, she spoke a name she'd never expect to hear. Her heart knocked about in her ribs, shuddering with an unnamable ache.
Carina, she echoed; her voice edging close to sorrow. wistfully, a sigh fell past her lips, and at the corner of her mouth lifted a subtle, yet sad smile. she leaned into @Marisol's company, wound about her finger and entirely too eager to hear more.
Tell me of her.

ooc: "Tell me of Carina" me "...uh yeah sure.. jeez kid"
”everyone has different stories” she reassured her gently, she didn't think everyone had only one right way to do things. ”hmm then you are blessed with other traits I am sure” she said with a softt smile rolling onto her side. She didn't think this girl was foolish enough to attack without warning. ”Unfortuantely, all I know is that Carina is a star that can help lead the lost home. There are a few brighter stars but Carina is often pointed out to lost cubs and teach them to follow her towards home. However if it is cloudy...” she shrugged her shoulders. Carina was not a popular star except to guide others home.
”Talk”

Oh, wow.She sucked a breath between the clench of her teeth; feeling a warmth heat her cheeks. Her heart struck, tinged with a strange and awful ache soothed by the words of the stranger. She inhaled through her nose, begging that nary a tear would scathe her cheeks. Crying was an awful thing, and not a hobby she wished to carry forward with her. Grief had shook loose, and held heavy at her throat.
Its' my mother's name. She offered after the passing of quiet contemplation. her eyes heavenward, but her words bent towards Mirasol.
I followed it. And the star led me here.

Ears pushed forward she wasn't that emotional with things, some things yes but maybe not this? However Mirasol wasn't sure what made the girl stutter with emotion, ears pushed forward to listen to her speak. ”ah and a beautiful name it is!” she reassured her with a smile. ”... is this your home?” she asked suddenly, looking around wondering if maybe the girl had been raised here if only briefly. Mirasol wasn't sure if she recognized her from anywhere but then she didn't pay much attetion did she?

A pendulous swing, thinking of Carinae and the tumult that had come to pass. The chapters scattered between gayful exuberance and needing to survive. She had lost herself in the process of finding Amaryllis. Though, young as she was, there was little to loose, only remnants of her mother to evolve and change with maturation and perception. Camelia could no longer be that lost little girl, and instead gave herself quickly into this gregarious persona. A change softened and nurtured by the kindness of strangers. Mirasol was generous this and offered placation. It did. It warmed her bones to hear, a cheerfulness that she grasped at readily. Her query though, fell quietly between them as Camelia worked up an answer. a happy ending, please

No,she began. Considering it all.
My mother had a kingdom south of the bridge I crossed. Her nose wrinkled, glancing to @Mirasol.
I guess I live here now though.
