the nymph arrives just in time to catch the reason for her journey -- as she steps out across the plateau, the sky ignites beautifully with shades of amber and rose, spilling out across the earth and shooing away any remnants of the evening before. a small sigh escapes her lungs as the woman moves forward, haunches falling as she looks to sit upon the edge of the cliff, basking in the sunrise and this small moment of serendipity.

Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

the morning air is crisp as it swells within her lungs, and by the time that nymeria finds herself near the tip of the mountain range, twilight was only hanging on by its last few breaths. slowly did the stars begin to disappear, the moon's vibrant glow fading as the sun makes it slow and tempered approach, as if teasing the valley with the impending arrival of day. she had carefully plucked herself from the company of her clan and loved ones before making the trek, an odd trum in her heart having pulled her towards the peaks in the early hours of the morning. it was not often that she stirred at such a time, and yet there was an energy that lured her forward upon light, airy steps, complexion painted with bliss as her body moves purposefully up the stone trail.

There was no certainty why he had followed Nymeria—he was a loyal hound at her heels.
A slowly stride, arcing over bramble and across frost. Thales abhorred Winter; cared not for the snow nor the blustering cruelty of it. He yearned for the golden summers and hot sand beneath his step. He thought to linger longer in the deserts, the places of red sands but that too was touched by a lack of life. It felt like slumber. A long, burdensome sleep. Plainly, it made him morose.
He was gladdened by his cousin’s choice to venture out, and perhaps for a moment of avoidance, of forgetting. The ache gnawed in the pit of his stomach, though as the sun began to devour the night, he too felt at peace.
He paused, offering a look of sincerity.

You know,He broke the quelling silence, approaching to her right to take a seat where she rested. A smile part mischief and part content quickly brightened his countenance. He nudged her softly in greeting, considering his words before speaking. Low, and like honey.
If you keep incredibly still and quiet,he leaned into his cousin’s side, face turned towards the heavens, but lips bent towards her ear,
You can hear the sun rise.
He paused, offering a look of sincerity.
Heard it once.

she thinks herself alone, left to bask in the beauty of the sunrise without the privilege of sharing it with another. but thankfully - thankfully! - @Thales would not torture her in such a way. he materializes from the crisp morning air, a facade taking physical form as he draws up next to her. and instinctively does her attention twist to bask upon him, plush shoulder leaning into his as his baritones slip teasingly across the air.
naturally do her lashes flutter, moonstone gaze widening in a look of coy disbelief and curiosity at his words. "well, then i fear we've already scared it away." she hushed in return, eyes brimming with light and perhaps a glint of mischief. the world never ceased to amaze her, nature and kin included. "tell me, what does it sound like?" if he would be so inclined to share the secrets of his discovery with his cousin, that is.

the serenity; she hushed, @Nymeria's lips entwining herself in these universal secrets. her eyes round and ready, punctuated by her statement.
he made a soft sound, half of a jesting chortle. electing to face the sun, he leaned into the golds spreading across the province at their feet. his cheeks rounded themselves, pulling a pleased smile as he basked in it. not done with his break from the seriousness of life, he chuckled proudly.
With a fierce grin, and a cackle, he released a large roaring boom to crackle against the dawn. Pleased by this fancy, he roughed against his cousin with a shoulder jostle.

I suppose it's pretty hard to compete with the likes of me.he kept his voice low and quiet, allowing the haughty joke fall between them.
Got it from my momma.Off-hand, quick. Even if he hadn't had met his mother, nor carried much of his father, he heard enough to know it to be true. He was the spit of them. But, the game was not yet done. Was it? He drew in a large breath, as though this were to conjure up memory.
