He'd been getting used to the lands of Amaryllis lately. Days would turn to nights, and nights would turn to days- but Viridian spent most of that time planning his next moves. Thinking about the ambitions he had for this land- for his wife and himself. The devilish brute found himself among the peaks, coming to the falls, thinking he was alone until his nostrils caught scent of another. CHanging his destination, Viridian approached the scent and his eyes came to lay on the lioness, basking in the quietness of what was around them - minus the roar of the falls. Viridian tilted his head for a second, calculating his moves and desires. "Why so alone?" He rumbled out as he approached, keeping a distance between them- for now. He wasn't sure about her yet and with how little he knew, she could easily swat out or aim to hit him- and he didn't want any new wounds to his collection just yet. "Speech."
I want to be. The words left from her lips and Viridian felt the itch inside him start to grow. Such a snarl remark given back to him, didn’t she know who she spoke to? No, no she didn’t… Viridian hadn’t built his reputation up much here yet. But she could learn. Would learn. Everyone would soon enough. He observed her smaller figure but soon let his eyes try to find her own. “I am, aren’t I?” He mused his reply, aiming to take a few steps closer- curious on how much distance he could eat away at until she did something about it. “Perhaps I was waiting to find some company.” He shrugged, staring at her while he let his mind figure out just what he wanted to do. Truly, it depended on how she played out with him… and her attitude. He always disliked women with a poor mood. "Speech."
I'm Vysemala Rahtigar. She introduced, tilting her head down just slightly in greeting as well. Her plan of a quiet, solitary, moment was already squandered. Time would tell if his want for company would be satisfied instead. It's been awhile since I've had to meet anyone new. She added with a light chuckle- lets see if she knew how to do this still.
She didn't turn him away, at least not when she noticed him moving closer. Although, his approach wasn't to intrude her space- at least not yet. She mused a reply and his attention flicked to her tail- or should he say, tails. "I've never seen that before." He commented before thinking- eyes glued to her tail with a fascination. Rare... unique... different. That was all it took for this lioness to earn his interest, which was far from a good thing. Deciding to play this right - and to his advantage - Virdian lowered to his haunches. He could play 'good guy' for awhile. " @Vysemala , I am Kyros." He spoke back, giving her his middle name as none but Valencia knew his first thus far in these lands. "Have you been here long, in these lands? I'm a bit... new. Trying to find a safe place for my family to settle." Oh, what sweet white lies they were. He already had a place in mind- and the only family he had was Valencia. But if he could get on this lioness' good side, perhaps he could learn from her before he decided to try anything else on her and be on her bad side. "Speech."
I've been here around two years, and I'm the first to admit I'm not the... ambassadorial sort to have learned a ton She had the base experience she'd be able to share with "Kyros" but any political dealings, the details of the web, he might not get out of her. The shore lines harbor two prides, healthy ones but with the danger of the oceans. Further inland the other prides have seen less stability I'd say. But with more advantageous locations, especially if the ocean was not his sort.
Learning that this woman had a mate, and children, was an interesting piece of information. It meant families were established in Amaryllis- and with that, perhaps Viridian might be able to sway something in his favor. Even more so upon hearing she'd been in these lands for two years. Surely she established herself? She knew of prides, the stability of some... Viridian was starting to see a opportunity here. "Two years? Don't count yourself short, i'm sure you've learned a lot." He remarked back, his fake act still playing high as his thoughts turned in reels over what he could do here. "How big is your family? My wife and I have three cubs, the girls are a pain the butt sometimes." What could be considered small talk and making friends, was actually Viridian trying to gather information on her. He knew she had children, but how many? Was her family even bigger- expanding beyond children? Just who all would be coming for his hide? "Speech."
We're blended, two of my mate's sons before me are still hanging around and then we have four together. At any time some of the older boys may be here or there, wanderlust being the force that it was. But we've finally had a girl ourselves. Vee connected and joined in with a happy little look in her blue eyes. Hopefully she would be a little less 'pain in the butt' than @Viridian's own daughters. No guarantee with her mothers unfortunately though...
She spoke and with it she responded to his questions, letting him know she had a pretty large family, at least enough for her to be cared about. That was all of the information he needed to hear further. He could use her, bend her to his advantage against others- if she was cared for, had a family, then someone somewhere would fight on her behalf- and that was what he desired. He fell silent, although he did nod to her statement of she and her mate finally having a girl. Viridian could of truly cared less at that moment. Instead, his gaze watches her, taking in her bodice- and it was then that his facade slowly fell and a sickening smirk came to cross his maw. "Hopefully I won't ever have to meet her then, mmm?" He spoke, limbs lifting him to a standing position as he felt his claws unsheathing into the ground, looking to the lioness as prey now. She was a target, an object to help him get to his goals- but first? He had to show her he was serious. "Let me explain it like this..." He attempted to take a step closer then, looking to slowly close their distance as his head lifted higher, glowering down upon her. "You will do as I say, you will obey, and you will come with me. If you do not..." His head tilted then, eyes flicking to her two tails. "I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out who your family is." Because how many lions had two tails in this land? But just his words wouldn't be enough for him. No, he needed to make sure she understood. He didn't give much time between the end of his words and his actions- because as soon as his sentence ended was he attempting to lunge at her, jaws splayed wide and his paws outstretched- front limbs aiming to wrap around her neck all while his fangs sought to attempt and bite anywhere around her neck. 1/3 Hits: Rolling 7d20: 11 + 3 + 13 + 15 + 17 + 9 + 18 Dodges: Rolling 5d20: 1 + 6 + 19 + 9 + 5 Luck: Rolling 5d20: 9 + 2 + 14 + 13 + 17 "Speech."
